0 Subject: Survivor week #9

Last week was a little slow on the discussion's. I guess since JHHH was a lock to get kicked overboard not much was left to say. This week will see one of the better teams hit the road, I think there are a few clear cut favorites and I think they both reside on a Island?

This weeks most likely to be shark bait is:

RBP: 4 available players, Hassellbeck,Gardner,Stallworth and Bradford equal a very tough week for the pimp. Not having is Greenbay boys this week will hurt. Hasselbeck must score for him to survive.

Ednecks: No Westbrook, Crumpler, Duckett and Kicker will make it really hard on the Neck. Culpepper without Moss is like Mike without a can of beer in his hand!. Will need W. Green, Coles and Horn to score decently to have a chance.

Shak: He has most of his squad playing , but since he's been in the bottom three since week 3, you got to place his big butt in the mix. Sooner or later he's got to start scaring people soley because he's a very lucky man.

The rest seem pretty safe and each week a different team seems to look better then the last. I thought Corky and STB were very strong a few weeks ago and now I think Superclyde is looking better then ever....damn I hate to say that, it goes against the rules of the universe?

May the best team Lose and If RBP goes that is a very good team lost.

Have fun and a I hope veryone is "K"...yeah even you STB.

Happy days!!!!

Ed I think I'm toast, something stupid has to happen for me to survive. Losing Foster, the Jones and now Green to bye week is a killer.

Scotty, all it takes is each of your guys getting a TD and you can survive. Hasselbeck scoring 20+ is a must. If Coles and Horn don't do anything, I'm probably gone If Culpepper plays like last week.

Hope, I do believe it's between me and you, but someone will join us most likely.

Injuries have stopped me winning every league I've been in, I'm sure I would be a 10 time Champ if it wasn't for injuries. It always seems to happen just when you need a win and are looking really good....bam.. back in the pack with the losers again.

Ed, I am sure you had to struggle to put that in writing, but I am liking my chances. I have to survive this week with Dunn and Vick off, but with you and Scotty having so much trouble, I think I can survive. That is the name of the game isn't it? If I can stay away from injuries, I will go far I think. Shame about the pain game hey? They are gone if they did that!!

Buddy's accusations are pretty damming for both Lee and John. It's a shame if it's true, Gerbils had no reason to try something so stupid, they are 7-1 and in first place?

paying a guy that's 0-8 to make a trade, only to savage something for the season is crazy? Plus it was obvious that trading E. James for Gardner, S. Morris and some bench warmer was not going to fly. It's happened before I'm sure, but it leaves a bad taste for the league and You would never play with these guys again. Thats why once you get a good bunch of guys you hate to lose any of them, you never know what kind of clown you may get to replace them. I know you could get a overly opininated person like me, but at least I is honest and good looking!!!

Good looking?!!? My aren't we might high on ourself or just high!! After reading all of the e-mails, I don't think there was any collusion. Just some misunderstanding. Gerbils has been complaining to me about no one wanting to trade and it sounds like Lee just gave up and accepted some GARBAGE he put out. I expect it to be overturned by early tomorrow. I really need a win against Buddy this week if I am going to have any chance at the playoffs this year. I have had some horrible luck. EVERYONE scored big against me this year. I have the most points against in the league and am 4th I think in scoring. Isn't that some crap. Oh well, at least I know I can kick your arse here!!

You have had some bad luck Mike, but some people are lucky and some people get kicked in the balls more then the average man..you know which ones we are!!

I'm still around in this league, with Culpepper I can beat anyone on a weekly basis. At the end of the day I is still good looking and you can't even get the dog to play with you!!!!

Not like Buddy too fall for a joke? Glad it's not true and the trade should be turned down.

I have points from Hass and maybe 1 catch by one of my WR's. Gotta double check but I have very few points........

I have 29.5 with 29 from Hass and .5 from Bradford. If I advance then something awful happened to somebody else.

I've got about 35.5 with Culpepper to go. I said it was between me and you and that looks about right. I can't see anyone scoring lower then 29.5.

Sorry to see you go, but I won't be far behind.

Someone got accused of cheating, but it looks like a misunderstanding and it was just a silly trade in the end that was revoked my a vote.

later RBP you have been sent packing unless someone falls down hard..

I think that everybody has already passed me. Dag nabbit, at least I can contend for the YTD high scorer and the weekly high score is in the bag.

Mike, that has to be an all time high for points for a PK. What did he have -- 4 FGs, 4 PATs, and a passing TD? Amazing.

Sorry to see my assistant stat boy bit the big one. I'm sure those of you that have a realistic chance of winning it are happy, though.

My excuse is that picking 18th in an 18 team league is a huge disadvantage. You really need a consistent stud to survive week to week and that's just not going to happen at the 18th pick.

LHC informed me that he has been short a player all year because Kurt Warner was left off the scoring sheet. Luckily, this is correctable and had no bearing on anyone leaving the island.

Week 10 may be my time to exit, especially if the reports are true about Pennington's demise for this week.

Not sure what this means, but I think you can take something from it.

Taking a look at the draft positions and possible reasons why people have left the island?

Draft positions still left: 1,4,9,11,12,13,15,16,18. the bottom half of the draft is ahead with 6 teams out of the 9. not sure why but I think it may have to do with waiting so long to make that second pick, most of the decent running backs were gone and alot of people were taking the best WR! Plus i think injuries and bad bye week problems were evident with a few teams, just bad luck and bad planning.

JHHH drafting Lewis was a gamble and hurt him in the end. Most of the top QB were drafted in the lower half and I think the run on decent second QB's hurt the top six guys a little. RBP was hurt in the end on injuries, losing Foster and T. Jones was his downfall. CPS had all his RB's off on the same week, bad planning. JDB had Barber and Harrison on bye week coupled with B. Johnson and Garner lost for the season, slightly unlucky.
Cobb lost because he drafted to many rookie RB's and lost Duece at the wrong time, huge gamble, I know he thought Moulds and Johnson would carry him for a few weeks. B2, Joefut and the Champs were just a bad case of not getting any RB's. Ajaye might look alright now, but he reached on a few picks.

Just a few topics of interest, we all have our reason why we drafted who and hindsight is always a lesson we all learn from each year. Good luck to the rest of the teams I would say this is bewteen STB, Superclyde and SSS, Things change quickly, so a little luck may go along way....right Shak.....

I made it through my tough week, so I will be down to bad weeks for players and injuries. This is getting to be nerve racking. I find myself checking these player points more than in my other leagues. I seem to be doing well in the contract league, but my local league I am getting trounced as usual. Scored 75 points with Manning and Pollard to play and I am 70 something down. That same kicker kicked my arse in that league!!

Mike, I know it sounds like your crying again, but when a kicker scores 22 points on you and throws a TD, you have to start to wonder if the big guy up above is just playing with your mind? Funny stuff, I have had it happen to me, and it just seems you get pissed on by everyone. LOL, I do feel for you just a little.

As my wife say's "keep your pecker up" pecker is a nose by the way.

I can't beat anyone in that league and I got LT and A. Green. I think it's the year of the QB and the top scoring TE's, Gonzo, Gates, Johnson, Witten, Miami guy and You got to love the guy that wasted a pick on Heap...he he

Vick will let you down sooner or later in this league....Yes you heard it hear first folks!!!! exclusive!!!!

Vick has let me down all season except for two weeks. Fiedler going down isn't going to help me in any form or fashion. S. Morris has come to my rescue though. Chambers is up and down. S. Alexander is solid. Bruce is a stud. Vinietari has been a stud for me for the past 5 years or so in various leagues. I can't believe 22 points though!!
