Here's a list of the 1st, 2nd and 4th rd picks from that "expert draf" I took the 3rd rounders out of to start with, who have yet to make an appearance on the board.
We are a LONG ways from being down to "the scrubs"
E James RB T Barber RB D Davis RB J Lewis RB T Bell RB B Westbrook RB C Brown RB L Jordan RB S Jackson RB C Martin RB K Jones RB C Portis RB R Johnson RB M Bennett RB D Jackson WR A Johnson WR R Wayne WR D Foster RB D Bennett WR K Barlow RB H Ward WR J Horn WR D Staley RB W Dunn RB
go ahead. anyone...name 3 of those guys you dont want to see on your team. |

To small to be a starting RB in the NFL, huge injury concern
Never been a starter, injury concern
Has never produced/been productive in several NFL seasons. Also possible loss of job to a rookie.
Back-up, has a history of injuries, has the potential to be a Fred Taylor-type back. Huge points one week, injured the next 4 weeks.
Not full time start, splits carries with another.
I'm not going to say who each player is, but I agree with you Sarge. Alot of money has been spent early on some players, I am guilty, but I'm not going to let a player that I want go if I feel I can get value for my bid.

wasnt implying that you should "let a player" go. Was simply wanting to point out, there is still a LOT of talent out there. Just 'cause that stud RB or QB or WR you were hoping for went by, doesnt mean a damn thing yet. Its a 9 man starting roster. 1 name, isnt going to make-break the season. (unless you spent HUGE on that name and then they dont pan out. One name can ruin your year, but damned sure cant make the year.))

I agree Sarge. I'm pretty sure an injury to Alexander would sink my team quicker than the Titanic.

OK, the list above is getting "old", so here's a new list of as yet untouched talent;
Top 15 QB's not on the board yet:
M Hasselbeck B Griese
Top 20 WR's A Johnson J Horn R Wayne R Williams M Clayton D Bennett S Smith H Ward D Jackson R Smith D Driver L Coles
top 20 RBs
J Lewis D Foster B Westbrook
Top 10 TE's
D Clark R McMichael J Wiggins D Graham
Thats according to one early "off season" player projection list anyway. Still ALOT of talent to be had.

Sarge- A lot of those WRs are going to go for much cheaper than they should...

agreed THK. The first few rounds, players were WAY over-valued and over-bid.
I KNEW better, and should have sat tight until 1/2 dz managers bid themselves under $100. Bargains galore, exist to be had, and we have 2 managers...4...who IMHO..."did it right". (unfortunately, experienced at this as I am/was...I am not one of the four.)

Disagree with the way overbid. Do agree with the way underbid. The couple that should have kept it honest are going to hate each other when the number 7 RB for a team goes for $35.
It was funny what we saw at the end of the BB auction.
Also, steals on the weekend were typical with BB also.

Being away for the whole weekend changed my plans. I wanted to wait and see who I would be able to get at a "bargain" price, but also did not want to see a lot of talent off the charts before I got around today.
I figure if you find the right bargain, you can still make up a nice team with less than 100 bucks right now. All you have to do is gamble with upping prices on guys you dont want, and hope someone with more money goes after him...
