All teams have 5 keepers in. We can start drafting with no clock until noon cdt. After that it will be set to 4 hours due to people being out of their respective offices. Please designate people to make picks if you can't be around. Email phone numbers to others if necessary.

Good Luck

This is probably a dumb question, but if we arent drafting on ESPN or Yahoo how the heck do we know which players are available during the draft rounds? THanks guys.

Ian, it won't let you duplicate players in kafenatid so that helps.

I'm checking in for lunch, and will try to check in this afternoon. I'll be around all night.

Bonka, settle down!

I had to stop the draft because culdeus put in pappa's keeper instead of mine. I made a trade to move the player.

PS- SOME OF US HAVE TO WORK. SOME OF US (AT LEAST 2) WORK OUT OF THE OFFICE MANAGING PROJECTS OUT IN THE FIELD. The draft is going fine.

I think we need to set up a draft pause overnight; from what I can tell it looks like our clock is set up as continuous.

Draft pause from midnight est to 8 est?

Quote from Culdeus on September 2, 2004 about my team:
"Skill C-

Very poor WR corps in a 1/rec league. Not up to the standards of last year. Two QBs with big ? marks over their heads with regards to team strength this year and Kevin Jones was a flat out reach for a future keeper. Looking towards next year?!?"

Do you think Kevin Jones is a reach now???
Glad you don't get paid for your commentary.
Check my team's IDP's verse your's now....what do you think? Hope Seattle has a good year!

Plummer wasn't that bad. I had him as 3rd qb on the board. Give the rook a break, we'll have pleanty of time to make fun of him the rest of the year.

I'm sending Ricky a dime bag and a whizzinator as we speak.

Watch it boys. Plummer was the best of the slop left on the board. Ive already got exposure to Brooks through Horn, Breez is going to implode this year (from Most Improved to Out of a Job), Carr cant stay off his back and a 15 mph wind gives Warner a concusion. Good luck with those losers.

1) I have to draft a decent backup as we all know Pennington's shoulder is suspect.

2) There are 2 teams that dont have QB#2. They are beginning to squirm about now.

Harrington = nonstarter by mid season
Leftwich = arm issues
McNair = DONE
Roethlisberger = throws for 150yds, 1td per game.
Bledsoe = No thanks
Eli Manning = tried this one before
Boller = will NEVER be on my team
Ramsey = Redskins will throw 5 times a game
Losman = Good upside, but dont anticipate much in first full season.

Pappa would like to welcome D. Clark, as he will be referred to from now on, to camp. This decision boiled down to one equation:

Peyton > Boller

I could care less who my bye week qb is. I got a top 8lb about 2 rounds after his value was good. this difference between Rothlesaasbhajshfdajsdf and bledsoe for those 2 weeks will be minimal.

Actually, I think Bonka and Battles have the most solid teams so far.. Battles more then Bonka..

Bonka's QB's can rack up numbers if they stay healthy.

Battles QB's are offense stacked.. Chiefs have no Defense so it is gonna be all out offense every game.

My team, took chances at this point, what can I say.. If it fails I get better picks next year :)

Harrington = steal this late and who Iles should have taken 3 rounds earlier.

Hey now, no need to bash my WR and Vick. I know what I'm going to get out of Vick, but who else was I supposed to keep from my team? Other than my RB last year, everyone sucked it up. My WR weren't worth keeping, even Driver isn't high on my list as a 2nd WR. Chambers will put up decent numbers, he always has. Bennett hopefully will put up most of what he did last year. And Moulds, well, for getting him in the 13th round, I'm happy with that. I wanted to grab Braylon Edwards but he was grabbed earlier than he should have been.

Whatever happens happens. Talk is talk. We'll see during the season. And like Promize said...if we suck that bad, at least we get higher picks next year, haha.

Willie "Mo Pena" Parker's got something to say about Duce Staley's fantasy value...

"It is for me to poop on!"

I believe you will find the Duce sitting out 3-4 more games than originally expected. As is the case for all NFL injuries, i.e. Todd Heap in 2004.
This in addition to the Bus having his calf muscle permenantly removed.

About 5pm eastern, if I have a computer, I will check in.

Could you please post here when my turn comes up? He doesn't have the notification from Kat.

FYI-
Some of the defensive players positions are wrong in Kafenatid. It says Nate Clements is a LB but he's a CB in espn and yahoo. Just thought I'd let you guys know so we don't draft the same player. Same thing with Mike Green really being a S, not LB.

Ian, you should try to track down the scrub that had your team last year and thank him for...

1. Having some great players
2. Not playing any of his great players
3. Not even managing the last half of the year.

That equals and early draft spot and good keepers.

Then thank tomcraw for having a complete loss of sense to draft mike.

Lastly, thank me for being the first to tell you gore is terrible and will be dropped when bye weeks start.

Oh Battles, in such a short amount of time a few things have become blatantly obvious. You walk on water; everyone should consult you before they make a selection; my RBs smoke yours straight up (keeper and non-keeper); your WRs are sub-par; and, quite frankly, your non-keeper roster looks like the inside of my barf bag on the flight home through the hurricane. Congrats on locking up a top-3 draft slot next year.

Interesting. I appreciate your solid review of my team and my abilities to defy the natural laws of water. It's too bad that I won this league the first year and was stuck at the end of the draft last year after everyone had kept 2 rb's and drafted 1 ahead of me. That is the reason I don't have any rb strength. I make do with what I have.

The history of your team however has always been a good team that no one ever played and thus had early round draft picks. Congrats on riding the coattails of others and having a decent draft.

Ian, I can't believe I come home from a relaxing dinner and read all this trash talk that is being thrown around. Who have you actually drafted?
Let's look back...
1.Jake Plummer...can you say INT
2.Thomas Jones...Cedrik's backup after the 3rd week
3.Jerry Porter...the 3rd best receiver on the team..I bet curry has better nubers
4. Mike Anderson....did not have the balls, or should I say insight, to pick him that morning so you sabotage the draft for 8 hrs until he scampered 93 yds for a td....tough pick
5. Antonio Bryant...Parcel's leftovers, along with quincy, hutchison, testaverde, and henson....great company

Now, does that look like a great draft...come on man..you were handed everything good you got.

"blessed with good keepers"?? Lets review my offensive keepers: Delhomme, McAlister, Davis, Horn and Johnson. It isnt bad, but deffinately in the bottom half of the league. I did receive a high draft slot and did the best I could. As for Jones, he is a flex candidate on my team for the first 4 weeks, nothing more nothing less. If all you can do is knock guys on my roster who are fighting to play flex for a few weeks, then I feel pretty good about my chances.

Ian will have to delete post 256.

That's 2 top 10 rb's and 2 top 10 wr's. You could have had a top 10 qb if you would have kept Brooks instead of Delhomme. You can't really say that's at the bottom. It happens to be at the top. If you would like to trade these bottom half of the league keepers, I'm sure some people at the top half would be willing to take them off your hands.

Sorry about 256. Didnt know that was a no-no. Rookie mistake. Never said I was at the bottom, just lower half. Didnt keep Brooks because I didnt want too much NO exposure with Brooks, Horn and McAlister. I still probably have too much, but willing to take the risk. I ranked the keeper pool a few days ago and had Battles, tree and leggs at the top, with Iles, Bonka, culdeus and my team in the middle. Looking forward to the various post-draft rankings and the crap I am going to take. All joking aside, I am having a great time with this league. For a frist time in a keeper, message posting and slow-draft I am having a blast. Thanks again for letting me play and I look forward to meeting all of you at the big barbeue Iles is going to throw during week 1.

Battles has the "Current Pick" at "22.05", despite the fact it should be "21.07".

is there a trade or something that just happened?

the top is also confusing, as it says we're now in round 22 or 22, when we're really in round 21.

Preseason waivers will have to be done manually by me. I'll do them this sunday night at 8pm cdt. You can submit them to ufcwaivers@gmail.com. It will be done the same way as last year. This is being done in case any player goes down in the last preseason games.

After that FA will begin until the regular season start. During the regular season waivers will be handled through ESPN.
