4 teams in the JBC without a backup QB? STB, Joe, Harmon, and Tribe, will that hurt their chances, better go large on your lone QB's bye week. Get by that and your probably alright, barring any other injuries.

Who's got that sleeper pick? Mike Anderson is looking like a very nice pick as of now.

Any early injuries have you concerned?

Stokley-Shoulder
Suggs- Ankle
J. Lewis- Foot

Good luck fellows!!

Mike Anderson is a huge get, whoever has him is golden. If you drafted Bell, too bad for you.

Yeah JHHH in the ECC is looking mighty fine. Bulger, Alexander, Anderson, S. Davis, who Foster said was the starter?, WR's, A.Johnson, S. Smith, Eric Johnson...Going to be hard to beat that lineup, especially if Davis is the starter, which I doubt.

Havn't looked over all the rosters, but it's hard to determine, until a few weeks have been played out..The favorite will change throughout the year.

Only 11 days until kickoff!!

That's a far cry from what RBP said about my ECC team just a few days ago....

"ECC team by team, initial thought so far.
Shak--1 RB? Needs to find another.
RBP--Don't like talking about my team, needed a better QB.
HHH--1 RB? Not good."

Got lucky with Anderson...if he continues to start. S. Davis was a reach. Drafted Eric Johnson without knowing he was injured. Drafting without a list, without the ability to print, and without the time to do any research at Aviano made it extremely difficult and nerve racking!!!

You guys that have Jacobs might find this statement by someone who drafted him, funny:

I love Jacobs this year and the 6-4 267lbs freak should be a goal line horse. I just hope he doesn't eat any of my players if i store him on my bench for a while.

Thought that amusing!!!

Might as well stir the pot. Who's your pick to get the boot off the island in week 1?

ECC:
1) Tribe - Plummer faces tough match up in Miami. Suggs and Troupe on the shelf? May come down to TO on MNF @ Atl.

2) Lost Reality - Bettis out leaving only Julius @ SD for RB. Wayne, Crumpler and Chambers also face tough matchups. May need big points from McNabb on MNF.

3) CPS - Ricky's out, Duce is hurting, and Fargas is on the bench. Luckily, he has P Manning and the ulta-talented Freddy Taylor. Who needs a PK?

4) Shak - Jamal Lewis's status? Hope it doesn't come down to me needing points from Vick on MNF vs. Philly. I predict I finish 2nd to last.

Special Honorable Mention to RBP for being the only team to draft a Bear QB. Unfortunately, he picked the wrong one and becomes the first owner to draft a player that was cut before the regular season starts. With only Bledsoe, he's obviously still the RBP and not the QBP as was previously suggested in an earlier post.

There were no takers of Warrick or Price.

Ed

Tiki Barber said on PTI that Jacobs will get the goal line carries and that FF owners should stay away from him (Tiki) if they depend on TDs.

FNAS,

They said the same thing about Dayne, but I think Jacobs is a monster and I don't see many LB's slowing him down much from 2 yards out.

RBP looks in trouble from a QB standpoint in the ECC?

Like a graveyard on this thread?

Joe,

I read the same thing on Trent, but a MRI and other checks were negative. They think it may be a nerve problem, but for right now he's scheduled to open week 1. I'm a little worried and that trade and my mistake would become even worse " Ed First off the Rock"!! would become reality other then a Superclyde pipedream!!

FROM NFL.com
Starting QB Trent Green hasn't practiced since leaving last Saturday's pre-season game with numbness in his foot and lower leg, but the team still isn't worried about the ailment being a long-term concern.

"I'll know better tonight or tomorrow morning," said head coach Dick Vermeil of Green's prognosis for Friday's preseason finale. "He's going through a battery of tests. Like I said yesterday, some of these tests just aren't five minute deals. They take sophisticated equipment and sophisticated people to administer them. We'll know a lot more tomorrow."

The Chiefs remain very thin at quarterback. Vermeil said Tuesday that the team would be "very fortunate" to have backup Todd Collins (hand) for the season opener and that third-stringer Damon Huard hasn't been cleared to resume football activities, although he went through quarterback drills Tuesday.

Even if Green plays Friday, it would be very minimally, leaving rookie James Kilian and veteran signal caller Jonathan Quinn to split the rest of the snaps.

Looks like T. Green had a stint placed in an artery in his leg to improve circulation. As of right now, they're saying he'll be ready to go come week #1.

No trash talking huh......Well
Tomlinson, Ladainian SDC RB. Your right stud..hope he stays that way.

Walker, Javon GBP WR. Will renew hold out in week three, tired of FAVRE opening his mouth.

Dunn, Warrick ATL RB. Is done, will get less then 20 yards against eagles D opening day. He will cry in public on national TV, put himself in shame, wear ear plugs so he does not hear the jeers, not be able.....(thats enough..hes just gonna have a really bad year)

Foster, De'shaun CAR RB Afraid of the Sports Illustrated jinx. Refuses to play for fear of injury...or arrest. Stephne Davis starts.

Faulk, Marshall STL RB gave up his spot to Jackson...he is a quitter, no one like quitters.

Bledsoe, Drew DAL QB. Old, cowboy, Old, cowboy

Vinatieri, Adam NEP PK In your words "Fricken
kicker".

Colbert, Keary CAR WR. SI jinx again, bye week issue. Lose receptions to peerless price. (who knows)

Hutchinson, Chad FA QB nothing to say about that

Taylor, Travis MIN WR Good luck RBP, you'll need it.............

Joe you trying to say in a roundabout way that the great drafting machine Known as RBP sucks?

He had an excuse he was in the middle of moving and I do think your right he had a poor draft in both leagues.

When your QB's are JBC-Harrington ( who may be replaced if he gets a bad start) Rothyberger ( way overrated). ECC- Bledsoe (very Old) and Hutchinson who just opened a Ebay account to supplement his income after getting the boot!! You probably just wasted 40 bucks without a little devine intervention!!

Joe started the trash just thought a RBP bashing was just what Shak would enjoy!!

after reading my latest post I realize I no longer have the ability to write full sentences in English.....Sorry. I blame that on a long night of drinking!

RBP, you are no worse off then anyone else. I just picked on you cause you had the QB that got cut. That is the same as drafting just one QB like some people as myself did. Anything can happen my friend ( my friend that I dont really know and likely never will)

Thank you for pointing out my mistake after I did RBP! Just Kidding. Anyway I suppose I meant to type the word "leagues" rather then "like". Both word have an L and E in them so at least I was close! I guess being in this NATO Environment and proofing reading all the turkish and Hungarian papers hasfinally gotten to me.

Shelton was put on injured reserve with a broken foot? I guess that's the same as being cut!

Anyhow, who's stat boy? who's first off the rock?

I'd like to thank Joe for Trent Green and all his circulation problems.

Clyde first off the Rock!!
RBP second off the rock
Joe Third off the rock
Shak fourth off the rock
That will do nicely.....

I hope nobody had family in the New Orleans/Gulfport/Biloxi area...My blessing's and hope all family/relatives members are safe and sound...

Good luck for a eventful and hopefully long Survivor league.

My ECC and JBC analysis will be coming tomorrow. Been pretty busy here in Ohio so far. Our TMO shipment arrives tomorrow which were looking forward too. Pretty hyped over the Buckeye/Longhorn game this weekend too. My son plays his first game this Sunday at 1300 of all times, so I'll be missing some NFL games but thats ok (He is playing TE and CB--odd combo).

Fellas my email from my Andersen account seems to have been locked out. Bad news is that I had my excel sheets saved in that account for the ECC and the JBC (show me pissed off). So I hope somebody has them and I need them back. My new email account is...........

mccoy_scottkelli@yahoo.com

Getting another email account with my DSL package but that won't be on until the 12th, I'll post that at that time. I also can't believe how much I've been out of the house here on my 42 days of leave. Rarely get online anymore other than about 30 minutes each evening. We do have Direct TV with TVO(spelling?) Basically we can pause live TV and record up to 70 hours of programming, some of yuou in thge US probably have it but I have been overseas for over 10 years straight (about to be 11) so it's new to me. Pretty cool. OK, gotta go take my son to football practice and then it's over to my families house for a day of football. On a side note Kirk (my son) is starting both ways on his team of 23 kids, playing TE and CB. Seems like an odd combo to me bvut he's getting it done so far. Tomorrow they play scrimmage "quarters" against each team in teh league, bad thing is that it starts at 1230 and will end at 1730 or so. Good thing I have that TVO to record the games :-)

I watched the the whole TU and OSU game and the teams were very close in talent and really with the amount of Texas turnover's it should have been over. Holding them to FG's instead of TD's was the key to the victory.

When you watched Young he never looked hurried or concerned they were losing, almost like he knew he would make a play to win it in the end...scary.

I do think overall the Buckeyes are a better team, but Texas has the best player in the country, alla Elway/Montana/Brady they/he will find a way to win. Special player and future NFL Star.

Ohio St is very, very good. Their LBs (Hawk/Carpenter) are as good as advertised. Ginn surprised me in that he didn't look ready for the big time. Mental lapses, etc.

Overall, I thought Ohio St looked like a more solid team (better on special teams and ball security). Having said that, when you're on the road, lose the field position battle, and the turnover battle, and still win the game...man, that's A LOT to overcome. Hard to argue Texas ins't a better overall team to have overcome all of that adversity.

Regardless, Ohio St should run the table in the Big 10 and could make the Rose Bowl if USC or Texas slips (definite possibility).

SupaMarios steroid league with the Tom Brady Fetish finished with 134.5 points. 30 points for fitzgerald, 27 with brady, and 23 for c. williams. He still has l. smith to go. Im just trying to get some ideas for who is getting the highest score here, and trying to start discussion. Seems like last year was alot more active with the commentary. Anyway, gotta go.
