Shak Daddy has made an excellent point. Can anyone think of a year with more drama than this one? The Viking love boat! Carolina cheerleader's with the stall play of the year! TO, TO, TO, TO, and 2much TO! Javon Walker contract holdout then scared into playing by Favre and now "busted goods" going into Free Agency. The Antonio Gates holdout and 1 game suspension. Duece McAllister, Priest Holmes, Dante Culpepper all first rounders in any draft out for the year. Chad Johnson and "The List". This one was not a suprise but I've got to include it...Keyshawn going after Bledsoe on the sidelines after Drew simply told him to "Hold on the the damn ball!" I'm sure I'm forgetting more drama...what did I forget?

From 1999: Kordell Stewart Discusses Rumors About His Personal Life
PITTSBURGH (AP/12-03-99) -- Kordell Stewart said Friday he met with his Pittsburgh Steelers teammates last year to assure that talk about his off-field life didn't cause a slump that has continued into this season.
Stewart, who has declined previously to discuss his life away from football, said the meeting was prompted by friends who told him of rumors circulating about his personal life. Earlier this season, a story in Sports Illustrated referred to fans' speculation about his sexual preference.
``I was a guy who stood up in front of the team and just said, basically, this is what's going on,'' Stewart told KDKA radio in Pittsburgh. ``A rumor is a rumor, you look it up in the dictionary it will tell you exactly what it means. I'm Kordell Stewart, the guy who worked with you guys and ... has made some great plays around this place. And I don't want any fan or any knucklehead outside of this organization make you feel any differently about me as a player.''
Stewart, who is single, also met with coach Bill Cowher and team president Dan Rooney to discuss the rumblings about his personal life, team sources told The Associated Press.
`The rumors can be real nasty sometimes, believe me. When you're out there on the field and you hear some of the things that are said, it can be real nasty. ... It can cause you to be bitter,'' he said.
Stewart blamed his two-year slump on the loss of a number of free agents, including wide receivers Yancey Thigpen, Ernie Mills and Charles Johnson. After making the playoffs for six straight seasons, the Steelers (5-7) are 12-16 the last two years and have lost 12 of their last 17.
Only two years ago, Stewart took the Steelers to the AFC championship game, throwing 21 touchdown passes and running for 11 touchdowns. But his production has dropped off appreciably -- he has six TD passes and two TD runs this season -- and he was benched after throwing two interceptions in a 27-20 upset loss Sunday to Cincinnati. He played wide receiver in Thursday's 20-6 loss at Jacksonville, making three catches for 21 yards.
Stewart probably will not play quarterback again this season, but said he fully expects to return there and start next season.
"I let a lot of things get to me,'' Stewart said of last season's slide. "Having such a great year the year prior, to experience the things I was experiencing, it was hard. It took its toll on me, but it made me a stronger man and a stronger player.''
Stewart, who had a beer dumped on him by an unhappy fan last season, said he isn't affected by the booing. But he wonders if the Steelers -- 1-4 at home -- still might have a home field advantage if their fans weren't so critical.
"I think we forget it's a game. It's entertainment. It's not life or death,'' he said. ``It seems the only time they appreciate you is when you're laid out on a stretcher, and everybody worries, `Is he OK?'
"I think people here really take it too seriously. I think we need to recognize that it is fun and we can still have that ambiance around here. ... But if you don't relax, you're never going to win a Super Bowl around here.''
Stewart also defended Cowher, who is also the subject of rumblings about his future. ``He is a really intense guy, but he does nothing but motivate his players to go out and play well,'' Stewart said.
``To bash that man, when he's done nothing wrong and has tried to create a team to go to the Super Bowl ... yes, free agency has probably caught up to us, let's be realistic, but the truth of the matter is the man is a good coach.
``What he does in his personal life is his business, but how he handles me and how he's been talking to me since I've known him, the man is a man. He's a man. ... When you lose, you allow the demons and all the crazy things to come in, and it can cause certain things to happen and cause a little friction in the household. But if you're strong enough as a team and a staff, you won't let that happen.''

Thanks Shak for the sheet. It's getting down to the nitty-gritty. If we lose Tribe and FNAS then the weaker links are all gone.
Teams with both left: Ednecks, JHHH (maybe), STB, Joe, Trash, LR, Mario
One team left: Tribe (Maybe), Clyde (Maybe), TB,
My rankings of the teams left in each division:
JBC: 1. STB, 2. Joe, 3. JHHH, 4. Mario, 5. Trash, 6. LR, 7. Necks, 8. Clyde or Tribe. I think it will be very tough to beat STB in this one.
ECC: 1. JHHH, 2. Trash, 3. Necks, 4. Mario, 5. TB, 6. Joe, 7. LR, 8. STB. It will be very hard to win this league, all the teams have a chance to win unlike the other league. I just think it will be JHHH, the theme with both predicted winner's is Shawn Alexander.
Teams capable of winning both: JHHH, Joe, Trash, Mario.
I'm normally very close on my predictions, so JHHH and STB should hope I'm right.

Ed, I agree with most of your rankings except:
JBC:
I think Joe's team is the equal of Tim's. He has a stud in LT and is relatively healthy with the exception of his #5 WR, Mike Williams, who should be playing down the stretch. He will also outscore Tim at QB with Bulger vs. Carr.
ECC:
I think you have TB (picking from the 18th spot) too low. I really like the consistent scoring he'll get from Westbrook and Barber and if Henry gets playing time, look out. Having all ten players healthy is also a big bonus.
I think the rule changes will make it very interesting. Immunity through week 15 is a huge change and having the final three teams battle it out over weeks 16 and 17 makes for great TV. I think that works out a lot better than having the final during week 17, when some starters may be resting.

I agree that both the teams you mention are very capable of winning their leagues. I like Joe's team a lot, he should thank me and you for gifting him LT, I reget making that move now, should have stuck with LT and made the most of it..got Greedy Grady.
TB, has a very good team with Barber and Westbrook, I just think Westbrook needs to hit paydirt a little more often then he has for TB to be in the hunt. Like I said almost all the teams left in the ECC are capable of pullling off a upset on any given week. I mean JHHH and Trash are the most likely winners, but you get Immunity on the right week and you could get past a few teams that on paper should out score you.
Injuries will play some part down the line for that unlucky team, The bye weeks are done, so that problem has already bitten the unlucky teams like, GCobb, FNAS, SHAK, and probably TB. Consistent scoring will only get you so far now, I think you need 75+ to be somewhat safe from now on. Bad weeks can befall anyone at anytime....So we really should be rooting for JHHH, Trash, Joe and STB to fall before they get to close to the finals.....Jinxed myself now!!!

I really think we should have increased the payout for the overall survivor champion. My hat's off to you guys that have 2 teams still alive -- that is an awesome achievement. I think the last owner standing with both teams alive deserves more than just 50 bones.

Thanks for the props for the team’s guys (especially Ednecks getting all mushy one me) But I’m still lamenting over my Eagles loss to the C-Boys. Nothing worse then waking up in the early a.m. hours to watch your team lose. Pretty much dominating the whole game up till 4 minutes left. One minute I was laughing over Terry Glenns –1 (negative ten yard run) points…the next minute we went down like my ex-wife on a cheap lawyer…I mean, Dallas style like they did against the Redskins. At least still being alive in both leagues helps out a little. Got to get back to work.

Joe, word is that if McNabb can't go this weekend McMahon will get the start rather than Detmer. Do you think that's true and what are the prospects for McMahon (or Detmer)? I have McNabb in a league and I need a better plan B than Harrington.

You see McMahon play during his one drive or during the preseason? He fits pretty well with our system. Strong arm, and he has some speed. He would have had a game winning drive if Brown could have held on to that 45+ yard pass. I really think that a McNabbless and T.O.less eagles team is going to surprise a lot of people, I think it will be a more balanced attack. Not that we will be a better team without them...but a different team that will help out you westbrook owners.

I was watching “Pardon the Interruption” two nights ago and the guys were talking about fantasy football, they say it is ruining football. They have some good points. Like rooting for players you would never root for (Shockey would be an example of that for me), hoping for injuries so your players get to start. (I was not hoping, but I was not to upset when Driver became the number one receiver following the Javon Walker injury...thanks Ednecks), and hoping the other team scores against you favorite team for fantasy points (LT verse the eagles, LT did not score) What is you guy’s opinion on that?

Guilty as charged.
I also think that the Browns leaving town soured my whole view of the NFL back in the day. I started rooting for players because I didn't have a team to root for. I was a huge Emmitt Smith fan (sp?) but only because I drafted him every year in FF (thus building the legend commonly referred to today as RBP).
On a side note I can root for all of the Steelers to die on game day, but no matter how hard I root they still live to see Mondays. Heck I've been wearing Buckeye clothes every day this week, why because it scUM week and I'm getting primed for "The Game". But at the end of teh day no matter how hard I root, no matter how much I yell I cannot change the outcome of The Game (unless I call in a bomb threat with the Bucks up 7 with a minute to go but we won't go there).

I don't know about ruining football, but I know I wouldn't be paying 200 bones for the Sunday Ticket if I didn't have such a big rooting interest in so many games. I think FF has raised the popularity of the NFL to new heights. Because of FF (and perhaps the TopCats), the NFL has grown a lot more than any of the other sports.

Joe it does take away from the enjoyment of watching the games..you find yourself looking at the stats during the game rather then watching. Ruined it, never, I find it much more enjoyable especially when say two bad games are on TV and normally it would be boring, but FF makes it worth watching. I know rooting against a player on your favorite team is tough, but If you play as much as I do, you practically have every player in the NFL.
I used to be a diehard Cleveland fan, but since they moved to Baltimore I've lost all that love. Browns will never mean the same to me!! I think of Sipe, Newsome, Byner, Warfield, Jim Brown, and the great defenses when I think of the Browns...It could never be the same again!!
