0 Subject: Survivor Week III

I'm going to give an opinion on how your team in the RW division might fare this week and hopefully a little insight into how strong or weak they may be. This is just The "Necks" predictions and in no way are probably accurate. The teams are listed in no order and a final rating of 1-10 is given based on how on strong your team is this week. I'll only list the IR players that are Questionable or higher.

JHHH-- Bye week players: Larry Johnson, P. Rivers, Tony G. (Ouch) IR: Vinateri (questionable). Now that leaves Jon counting on (Simms against Carolina) and (Wayne playing the Jags.) Not looking pretty and I would be very scared come Sunday. that leaves Horn, Alsott, Staley and Rhodes to get his other points. He better Hope Horn has a great Monday night or he might lose his second team in as many weeks. Rating: 3

SuapMario-- Byes: Vanderjagt, IR: Stevens (out), Droughns (Q). His QB's have tough matchups this week, Leftwich (Indy) and Johnson (dabears) I would say they won't go very large this week 10-15 points at best. Portis and DuceMc should be fine this week unless that shoudler pops out again. Ward, Toomer and Evans are guys who you never know what they will do from week to week, so I think he has a pretty decent team and will score in the middle of the pack this week. Rating: 6

GumSellers-- Bye: Kaeding, IR: J. Lewis, S. Smith, Brown, A. Green, Williamson I think most of those guys will play this week, but cross your fingers just incase. Brees and V. Young at QB, I'm not high on either. If all the above quetionable Rb's play then he should be OK at best, they do have decent mathups. Heap, S. Smith finally should put up nice points this week. Lots of questions but I thinks he survives: Rating 6

Trashhaulers-- My Buddy. Bye: LT. IR: Henry. QB's Hassellbeck and Griese, Hass should be huge this week with Branch around. White and Henry left at RB, not many points there. His saving grace, Galloway, Chambers, Bruce and A. Johnson should put up enough points to stay around, but this is the week to get rid Of the Trashman...depends on those wideouts and that's always risky. Rating: 5-6 points

Ednecks-- Bye: Witten IR: Booker. QB's Brady and Carr hoping for a Brady breakout week, but I still think it will be 12-18 points again. RB's, Tiki, D. Williams and T. Jones will have nice weeks, looking for Williams to take that job and make this team very strong. Boldin and M. Clayton at WR, Boldin will be better then average and Clayton who knows. Rating: 7-8

TB-- Bye: Kennison and Janokowski, IR: none. QB's: Delhomme and Roth, is this the week they finally live up to the hype, they will improve that's for sure. RB's: Bush, K. Jones I like them this week and should score nicely. WR: Burress, Jennings, Troupe and Moulds...I'm not getting that excited, Burress needs a 100+ this week. Not a high score but will be in the middle or near the bottom of the pack. Rating 6

STB-- Bye: Glenn and Volek, IR: Westbrook (Q) and G. Jones (out). QBs: Culpepper, I think this is the week he gets back to what was expected. RB's: Westbrook, Taylor and Buckhalter, Taylor has a tough week against the Bears and WestBrook and His Knee will be fine, decent enough. Wr: Mason and M. Clayton wont be fantastic. He better hope for Rb and QB points or he might be in trouble, I say he survives. Rating: 5

MidgetMauler-- Bye: J. Jones and Jordan great planning? IR: R. White. QB's: Bulger and Pennington, no problems here. RB's: Morrency...what, no points from this position. WR's: Edwards, Bennett, R. White and Cooley, Better hope Edwards and Cooley go large or you might be in deep trouble. Co-favorite to leave with JHHH. Rating: 3

Harmon-- Bye: Bledsoe, IR:Cobbs?. QB: Favre, lucky he's playing Detroit or could have a problem..Pray, I think decent enough. RB: James, M. Bell and Norwood, possible points, finally a 100 yards for EJ this week, what Bell shows up Sunday? WR: Walker, Clark and Driver, I like those Three guys, He do like him some Denver players and should be above average. Rating: 7-8

Little Boy Joe-- Bye: Brooks and Porter, IR: None. QB: Collins, damn he sucks, he has a nice team but These QB's are killing him. RB: Jackson, Addai and Dunn, very nice and they might end up being the best threesome of the bunch. WR: H. Miller, LJ Smith and Burleson, Needs a little loving from both TE's and he should be OK without many QB points. He lasted awhile last year with no QB, so I have faith in the LittleJoe. Rating: 6-7

Shak-- Bye: Gates, IR: M. Jones. QB: McNabb and Losman, I'm liking the potential with both, McNabb has been beautiful so far. RB: Parker, Gore and Haynes, Gore looks like the next LT and Parker will always score enough playing in that Steelers Running game. WR: Mush and Watson, you can never tell with those two guys, but I think Brady knows his best option is Watson and should have a great week. I likey this team has a good shot at the title if Gates gets back to scoring some Td's. Rating: 9

Steve-- Bye: R. Moss and Sa Parker, IR: None. QB's McNair and Frye, not really excited about either this week, but McNair should get you enough. RB: R. Brown, Dillon and Barlow, Brown should be huge this week and Dillon will get a TD. Barlow winning the job in NY will help you out. WR: Rod Smith and Franks, Not likely very much, Hopefully the RB points are big enough, you'll do enough. Rating: 5-6

Tribe-- Bye: T. Green, IR: Jurevious. QB: Brunell, thank god he's playing Houston, should have a bigger week. RB: Alexander and Foster, I think Shawn well get a TD and nice yardage this week, Foster needs to start producing or Williams might be the man before long. WR: Jackson, Stallworth and Branch, damn did you luck into some nice wideouts, will get most of the recieving yards in Seatle now with Branch's arrival and McNabb loves Stallworth..very nice indeed. Rating: 8-9 has huge potenial to go large.

RBP-- Bye: Owens and M. Barber, IR: QB: E. Manning and Warner...Whooooo doggy, that must make you happy indeed, enough said. RB: Mcgahee and Toefield, nothing to right home to momma, but Mac should be enough most weeks. WR: Bryant, Keyshawn and Mcmichael, Plus Owens, needs Owens back for sure, but these three will score from time to time, has a nice lineup with those QB's. Rating: 7-8 this week.

Grim reaper-- Bye: Mccardell, IR: None. QB: Palmer and Grossman, with Grossman looking like all world, which won't last this QB situation looks mighy fine. RB: Caddy and F. Taylor, caddie's car has been in the shop and is now known as "Subaru Williams", potenial and needs both guys to get him some points. WR: Holt, Reggie Brown and Wilford, not bad, needs Holt to step it up and this team will be one of the better ones when Caddy gets his car out of the shop. Rating: 7-8

Terry Tate-- Bye: none, IR: Coles. QB: Vick and Boller, better hope Vick stays alive, still TT has immunity the first 2 weeks and you can't argue with success. RB: Rudi, Jacobs, Anderson, Nice, has potenial if both the other guys get their touches around the endzone. WR: Harrison, Coles, Winslow and Shockey..looks better everytime I look at it, tough matchups this week for all of them, but when you have immunity it don't matter...Rating: it don't matter...will score just fine again.

Sorry If the Grammer or spelling is terrible, It took forever and I'm not that smart anyway....enjoy the week fellows!!!

"Kicker Adam Vinatieri will miss the first game of his 11-year NFL career because of a lingering groin injury. "

This can only happen on my worst bye week of all time!!!!

If I can survive this week, look out--It might be meant to be....highly unlikely though.

So JH needs 100+ yards, 3 TD's and a handfull of catches for JHHH to survive?

Didn't think JHHH would make it through this week, had to many key players off the same week. You got to let some good players pass you bye during the draft because of conflicting Bye weeks. In his defense he was out of town and winging it....Sorry Jon your done Bud!!

Ahhh, the things we do to feel loved and appreciated. During the draft I helped out TB, who was in a RB bye week bind. I traded him Fragile Fred for Chris "Charlie" Brown. Given a choice, I would have selected Fred over Charlie, but in an effort to win back most-favored poster status with TB, I accepted his offer. I am now in the bottom two in the WP with STB. Those 7 Fred points sure would have helped the cause. Any chance we can void the trade?

Poor TB, his one and only QB, Simms, is now speenless (not to be confused with spineless) and out for at least 6 weeks and possibly for the year. The perils of drafting one QB. Dead team walking.

That is the trouble with drafting one QB, any injury weather it's long term or not lessen's your chances of winning the whole thing. Spleenless or not TB wasn't getting much out of him anyway. Did we just lose L. Johnson in both leagues now? That just shows drafting early doesn't automatically mean success with that 1 big stud. IMO the guys that got by LT's bye week just became more of a favorite the rest of the way.

Poor JHHH gone...why can't TinyJoe lose early for once.

Ed, I'm going to have to disagree with you. Perhaps you were just talking off the cuff without really looking at the teams before you said "the guys that got by LT's bye week just became more of a favorite the rest of the way." Obviously, TB's dead team walking is not more of a favorite in light of the Simms injury. I don't believe Buddy's LT team is a serious contender either. Just too many question marks. He has 2/3s of the Tenn RBs, Galloway (now without Simms), Chambers (underperforming with Daunte), Andre Johnson (hot and cold) and Griese riding the bench.

I know everyone likes to pick early, but I don't think there is an advantage to drafting early and would be surprised if anyone that picked in the top 3 finishes in the money.

Shak I didn't really look at the lineups, but just having LT makes them legitimate contenders. OK I'll agree there are better teams then Buddy's, But just getting by LT's bye week without getting kicked off has to make them stronger the rest of the Bye weeks at least, there chances have improved of not going home during that time. Like anyone a bad week from your top three players and your probably going to struggle. You and I know the best team doesn't always win..

Ed, I meant to say thanks for the initial post. Always fun to read what others think and I know it takes time to put it together.

Shak, I feel a little bad for that trade but I had the two rated about the same. If I am coaching Jax, Taylor is going to lose more and more carries to Jones-Drew. Taylor dances around too much. Jones-Drew hits the hole and goes.

I read about Simms last night. He has been fairly spleenless thus far, so I have my fingers crossed that I can make it through the bye weeks and maybe he comes back in 6 or so weeks. If not, I am probably done for. No QB or Kicker...need to get lots of RB and WR points to stay alive. The sad part for me is that my WP team has been scoring better than my RW team. Neither one has that "wow" factor.

The LT team has to be concerned about Turner splitting carries. That will happen more and more especially if SD gets ahead in the playoff race. As for Simms, the Bucs weren't doing much with him and if Gradkowski has any kind of success we may not see Simms back with the bucs.

Thanks TB. WOW..Alexander has a broken bone in his foot..Warner might get benched after losing the game. Things change quickly in the NFL, so pray for no injuries, cuz you might look like the winner one week and a Bottom feeder the next!!

Turner isn't splitting carries, he got a lot of carries and yards after they had the game in hand by halftime. IMO if you think Turner will get a good number of carries then your mistaken. He looks good when given the chance, but make no mistake LT is on the field 90% of the time. If I had LT I would defintely handcuff Turner real quick.

Steve you are right about If SD locks up a playoff spot early, but until then LT plays most of the downs..It is a concern for all players off really good teams who will lock up a playoff spot early. Resting players is a big problem for Fantasy players now, something you have no control over during the draft...

Week 4 is a little early to start speculating about players resting for the playoffs. Additionally, I think a lot of coaches took notice of what happened to the Colts last year after they went into cruise control to finish out the season. I think the bigger concern for all Survivor owners is the dreaded injury bug. Is there anyone here that doesn't believe in the dreaded Madden Curse? That thing is too weird!

I always wondered if that happened to anyone before. Resting players will happen if they have a few nagging nicks..but yeah no since worring about it now, especially Joe cuz he'll be long gone before the Survivor playoffs.:-)

Oh necks..always the clever one. The regular season has nothing to do with the playoffs remember....Everyone is invited to the survivor playoffs (which I believe I have won in the past hehehehe..just trying to get under your skin man, you are right). Unless you are referring to the final three weeks of the season in which 3 or 4 teams from both leagues battle it out with about 5 healthy players on each roster..if that is what you are talking about, then yes, I wont be there. My teams are not going to get me very far this year. My stellar QB play along with a lack of motivation due to the early departure of my mentor JHHHHHHHHHH has really hurt my chances this year. GO EVERYONE BUT EDNECKS!!!!

Don’t take this wrong, cause I appreciate all the hard work that is put in the stat sheets, but is there a reason we are not using the sheets from last year which states each individual player and their points for the week?

The reason is because the site does all the scoring for us and you can go there and see live scoring or final scoring. Why do double work?

Joe, I still occasionally use the old stat sheets because it's easy for me to see at a glance everyone's team and who has players hurt and on bye's, but it does take quite a bit longer to update. The FF site does a good job with the live scoring and everyone can follow along there, so that's why we have the simpler stat sheet.

I think what Joe is saying the sheet does provide for a quick comparison and you can see all the players points on one sheet and it gives him something do on the crapper.

Joe you should take that part of the sheet and get it going again, I believe Shak has devoted enough time doing the sheet to last him for awhile. JHHH told me you have no job and you have all the free time in the world, no Girl Friend, But he still gets more Ass then a toilet seat and the Village people...He's a player!!!

I wish JHHH was still here.......times have a changed here. I am in the office over 12 hours a day, with 14 people, 3 of which actually work, my french boss hates america (and seems to forget I am american cause he always trash US to me..,maybe he thinks I am canadian) and does not talk Actual words, but rather makes sounds like atatata, and swoosh. I am blocked from any fantasy sites, and when the internet is working we have a line of people that forget they are suppose to work on that day....yes, I could print them out and bring them with me to work, but between repeating 12 times a day to 0-F 3s and 4s (from eastern europe who have the language skill of my sisters 3 year old, and this one worthless US Lt) how to do their damn job..then fixing when they f it up anyway, doing my job and Supamarios (since he left without a replacement..thanks dude) and some how being tasked with half of collections shit..I dont have the time..if I did, I would do It with a big smile on my face just hoping this is the week Big Ed gets knocked off..also, if I had the time I would have stayed in the other league and would be on here more often as well (what is everybody else's excuse for the lack of action on this board?)....Im done bitching now...dont have the time..sorry...and that is a pimp..not player:)

Have a good night boys..I have work in the morning.

Awww little Joey....ATATATATATATA!!!!!!!! Sorry dude, had to get home, but on the bright side I am still in both leagues, probably until week 6, when I will probably get booted from both. Watching the Titans right now (at a decent hour too!) they are just playing bad football right now, hence the 14-3 score. Phhtt, abbababa, atttaaa vooooppppppp!! Joe understands that completely.
