0 Subject: Survivor Week VI

Week 6 in WP. First week of two that the NFL will have 6 teams on byes. The top-ranked teams in the WP look very vulnerable this week. Luckily for the #1 ranked Grim Reaper, he has the immunity idol during a week that he has 3 on a bye and Shaun out for his injury.

Who’s in jeopardy?
GCobb – The 2nd ranked team in the WP is in huge trouble this week. Unfortunately for the G Men, their immunity may have come a week too early. This week GCobb will be without Brady, A Green, D Clark, Longwell, and Vernon Davis. That means no points at K and minimal points at QB (McNair). GCobb will need LJ to come up big in Pitt (fat chance) and McNair to light up the scoreboard vs. Carolina (fatter chance, or would that be slimmer chance). Either way, I wouldn’t be holding my breath.

Shak – The 3rd ranked team is the next high seed to make an appearance in the jeopardy column (who said I couldn’t be objective?). Team Shak will be without Leftwich, Wayne, and Scobee, who are on byes. The team is further crippled by the lack of playing time for C Brown (damn, that Fragile Fred trade hurts) and M Bell (homer pick). That in effect puts Shak in the same boat as GCobb. This team will survive if R Brown and Dunn can put up decent numbers vs. the two NY teams.

Harmon – The last highly ranked WP jeopardy team this week is the #4 ranked Harmon. Harmon has P Manning, Morency, and Franks on byes and DeAngelo likely out with his sprained ankle. Although he has one more active player than GCobb and Shak, he will be getting a donut at QB. Expect Harmon to be at the bottom heading into Sunday night. If Tatum doesn’t go crazy vs. Oakland on Sunday night, Harmon’s WP life will depend on Boldin and T Jones on MNF.

Tribe – The final jeopardy team this week is a team without any players on byes. The #8 ranked team is making an appearance because of injuries and lack of playing time. The injured players are Fitzgerald and Stallworth. The benched players are Warner, Toefield, and to a lesser extent, Benson. That combined with two kickers will leave the Tribe short a few warriors. The Tribe’s long march must be led by Palmer and J Jones.

Who’s out??
Head – GCobb has too many players out and a couple of tough matchups. Harmon will give him hope, but will crush him on MNF.

Heart – Always good to see the higher ranked teams leave (except mine, of course). GCobb.

Gut – Let’s make it a clean sweep … GCobb, 6th team off the rock. He doesn’t read this board, does he?

Cobb or Tribe if I had to bet...I'll go with the Tribe, just too many injuries.

Scotty, I had a brief look and I had Cobb and Harmon struggling, you never know how it may go, but they should be near the bottom at least. It looks like Shak is correct drafting in the top three has been a jinx this year so far, LJ, LT and SA have played below par so far. I think Shak has it pegged right drafting early means your your #1 better live up to the hype because waiting till 36+ picks later means you missed out on some great players for the sake of getting that possible one stud. I think drafting later has it's advantages if you pick that right RB. I thought differently before the season, but I think after winning from the 15 hole last year I think if you get those first two picks correct your chances have increased greatly, get it wrong and your probably done. I know every year is different and This year injuries have played a big part in some pretty good looking teams leaving.

A lot of luck is needed to reach the finals that's for sure.

Remember what I wrote before about killer SUV's getting blamed...not the drivers......this is the first story on Philly.com, notice it does not blame the driver..nor was the driver named...killer SUV's:
An 11-year-old boy was in critical condition last night after being struck by an SUV, police said.

The accident happened at Roosevelt Boulevard and Third Street in Feltonville just before 7 p.m. The child was a passenger on a SEPTA bus that was traveling north on the Boulevard. After leaving the bus, he crossed in front of the stopped bus and was hit by the SUV, which also was heading north on the boulevard.

The child was taken to St. Christopher's Hospital for Children, where he was in critical condition.

Police were still investigating the accident this morning.

Just curious, if the next of kin has not been notified yet (REGARDING LIDLE)why are they still talking about it on the air, there is something wrong with that.

I heard his family was on a flight to LA at the time of the crash....imagine his family getting off the plane and having to see it on TV in an airport...

Scott, where did you hear or read that about the family? I haven't heard anything about that and that would be absolutely horrible if it were true.

Heard it on ESPN right as the story was breaking and they weren't sure if he was actually on the plane or not. I'm "guessing" that somebody tried to contact his wife and they were told that she was on a flight to LA. Also heard that planes were scrambled all over the US by NORAD but I haven't watched the news in a few hours so I don't know if it's true (read that on an off topic thread at a Buckeye website).

Lots of big name, big yard, and multi-TD games this week! Also, are the Saints for real?

The saints out played us badly in the first half..we sucked in the first half..the refs sucked ALL GAME! I dont mind if we lose just being out played or whatever..but a hate when I know there are questionable calls that may have lost us the games...You guys see the hit on McNabb in the first when he was already down (touched by the other team then fell down)..reminded me of the Atlanta game last year..the play that got him hurt..was not a penalty then either...I just dont get it..it was so obvious..even all 18 cowboy fans (Eagles haters) I watched the game with and got tormented by saw that. I know it was just the first half..but this game is all about momentum..anyway the saints looked good but time will tell. I did not know that Horns first TD was his first in 16 or 17 games..that is crazy..and he is still always picked so high in the drafts...so, you guys think TO will shut up for a week now that he got 3 td's or do you think he will keep bitiching about if he got the ball like that against the eagles they would have won..I know you guys are tired of me talkng about the EAGLES, but one question for anyone who can answer. Is it legal in the NFL to push an opposing player into a punt returner who is Signaling a fair catch causing a fumble...I thought that was a penalty too? OK guys, goodnight

WOW looks like a big week for quite a few players. Holt and S. Smith are money in the bank.

Joe, I'll give you the roughing the passer on McNabb it did look a little late. The Punt return was questionable, but I think both the defensive guy and the Saint were having a little cat fight and they just happens to run into the punt returner, I think they got that one right. Plus I'm sure before the season is over the Eagles will get a few calls go their way and even things up. Bottomline the Saints out played the Eagles in the first half and deserved to win, Brees is looking comfortable in that offense.

I was sorry to see TO get 3 Td's, was looking forward to his crying session again this week..Not!

Who's hurting I think I'm pretty safe in both.

Immunity in the WP, first time ever, I won't know how to act next week.

Miamu "U", kicking and biteing, now you know the type of classy people playing at that University...Ex: Irvin, Shockey both head cases it shows a good character is not part of the recuiting interview at the "U", all they want to know is are you a mean SOB and used to knocking heads!

It was a Friday the 13th weekend for sure, poppamaumulu ? getting tackled by his hair, the "U" and the Miami analysis Lamar Smith or HArris, not quite sure, saying crazy stuff about kicking the crap out of players and he wants to join them on the field and he would start the brew-haul back up in the tunnel after the game..what a clown, I would think his job is in trouble after those comments during nthe game.
The huge scoring this week compared to the others, Edneck getting immunity, Joe not alking aboujt his Eagles..

I guess the Moon was in MArs and Haleys comet is on it's way..Spooky!! Weird just like Joe's HAircut.

LMAO, thanks for not forgeting about me..but, I have been talking about the eagles..see above..funny how I did not talk about them after the win against Dallas, waited for the loss....anyway, i just was able to get connection to the internet today (damn Kosovo) and I was going to call a Arizona win over the Bears. Now that they are at the 12 or 13 yard line I still agree. Upset time!

went to bed at half time and saw my prediction went down the drain..ok, I will go back and just concentrate on my 5-1 Eagles, thats right...I am protesting the last "loss" after watching replays and watching Brees slip twentys to the refs I am convinced something was up!

I'm not getting the emails, thats why I asked. Make sure the sheet gets sent to mccoy_scottkelli@yahoo.com

Yes I did win one league this year so far, maybe I can get another or two before football ends. And the Buckeyes are rolling, life is good.
