I guess the enthusiam is waining after so many teams have exited. I lost a pretty decent team recently and I can still feel the love for this league, I still think it's one of the best formats around. I'll try and predict this week in a later post to get the juices flowing once again. Please come back and be my friend..I didn't really mean it?

Surviving teams left in the contest;

RW-- Shak, Trash, Edneck, Mario, Reaper, Harmon, Tate.

WP-- Shak, Trash, Reaper, Harmon, Cobb, TB, Joe.

Congrats are in order to Shak, Trash, Harmon and Reaper for having both teams still alive, that feat is much harder then it looks..is it luck, I think the guys with no QB's left and are still alive have been extremely lucky, but we are starting to see the same names from last year again, so it's pretty obvious that a few guys know how to win in this format...Kudos to you folk.

May the lucky SOB Win. Right now I would put Shak, Trash and Ednecks as favorites in the RW league and Cobb, Trash and TB in the WP league. Trash looking good in both leagues, he might do the double and that would me a major feat.

Good Luck.

Happy Turkey Day Gentlemen (and Ed too),

Welcome back to my fearless prognostications! Down to the final 6 weeks of the season. Can you believe the season is almost over already? One correction to Ed’s post above – Harmon lost his RW team and TB is still alive in both leagues. Here’s how it looks for this week:

WP – Immunity for the Trashmen. Three teams without starting QBs and the teams that own LT, LJ, and Shaun still alive.

In jeorpardy:

Gay Reaper (ranked 10th) – This team is living on borrowed time due to a scoring change. Poetic justice that McNabb is now out for the year? His other QB is the recently demoted B Johnson. Last week the GR was bailed out by a career day from Lee Evans. Don’t expect that to happen this week vs. the Jags. In order for the GR to be safe, he will need unexpected points from backup RBs M Barber or Rhodes. Otherwise, Shaun will need one of his 4 TD games on MNF.

Joe (11th) – Joe has been surviving without a QB for most of the year (Culpepper and Griese). The Pitt @ Balt game will probably decide Joe’s fate. He will be cheering for big games from Jamal, Hines, and Heath. If that game turns out to be a defensive game, then he will need his Eagles (Westbrook and R Brown) to score big vs. Indy.

Harmon (12th) – The lowest ranked team still alive, Harmon will depend on Peyton and at least one of his talented RBs to keep him alive. Tatum Bell is nursing an injury and may not go at KC. T Jones faces a tough matchup at NE. That leaves DeAngelo to score big in Wash. Hopefully for Harmon, he won’t need Bubba to score any points on MNF to stay alive.

Shak (3rd) – It’s amazing that this mediocre team has the 3rd most points in this league. Have I mentioned that I regret trading Fragile Fred for C Brown?? I’m still kicking myself for that bonehead trade. Rivers is the only player performing on a consistent basis. He faces a tougher than expected matchup vs. the Raiders. RB points will have to come from one of the following up and down RBs: Ronnie, Warrick, or Mike Bell. I probably can’t expect much from the drunk driving Antonio Bryant. I’ll probably need a big game from Reggie Wayne vs. the Eagles.

Head: Says we won’t have the Great Gay Reaper to kick around anymore.
Heart: Says please let LT or LJ go into a late season swoon.
Gut: Says the GGR will boot out Harmon on Monday night.

RW – Immunity for the Shak Attack. Only one team (Mario) without a starting QB.

TB (10th) – The Kevin Jones injury should really hurt TB’s squad. He should get decent QB points with Delhomme and Ben, but can Reggie put up points at Atlanta? Which of these WRs will score: Plaxico, Kennison, Moulds, and Jennings? Good possibility that Troupe doesn’t play, but even if he does, will anyone notice? TB may need Jennings to bail him out on MNF.

Mario (9th) – No QB points for you! Portis and Toomer on the IR hurts as well. Mario survived last week with huge Lee Evans post. Not likely to happen again. Will need Droughns and Deuce to score or he’ll be wishing on a J Stevens outburst on MNF. For Mario’s sake, I hope it doesn’t come down to that.

Terry Tate (3rd) – I had to do a double take to make sure this was really the 3rd ranked team. Not only is TT the 3rd ranked, he leads the league in immunity with FOUR. I was remiss to announce this earlier. So I’m announcing it now, albeit in a column about teams in danger of getting booted. TT has thrived during Vick’s good weeks and scraped by in his bad weeks. Not much middle ground there. Vick has a tough matchup this week vs. the Saints. Rudi hasn’t been doing much and travels to Clev. Marvin, Shockey, and Kellen may have to carry this team during Vick’s down weeks.

Head: Says I was one week off in my call for TB to lose a team.
Heart: Says let it be one of the guys with two teams left (Trash, TB, or GGR).
Gut: Says three injured players and no QB is too much for Mario to overcome.

I guess that was meant to hurt my feelings Shak..I's a gentleman too, honest I is.

Your predictions look to have sound judgements behind them. I too would like to see these LT, LJ owners hit the road. I remember saying in a earlier post that the Folks that got by their LT byeweeks would cruise, and you said that was BS and stupid or something, but that looks to be the case smarty pants. LT scoring 3-4 TD's every week is all yuo need to survive..

I just assumed it was stupid since you said it! :-) Also, I wasn't trying to hurt your feelings, I was just trying to be funny. After all, Buddy told me you don't have feelings.

I guess when I made the remark about LT I was still bitter about the way he faded badly last year. I guess I'll stick by that since you brought it up. The teams that have LJ and LT rely too much on those studs. I think the odds are pretty good that LT will not continue to score 3-4 TDs each week. However, should these teams get to the finals, they will be tough to beat and I will apologize to you, Big Ed.

BTW, would you be interested in taking on a commish or co-commish role in the LMS league?

Shak I could probably take on Co-Commish duties. The problems I have with the heart limit my stamia and amount of time I can do anything, so even typing on here is a chore.

I surely have a lot of time to help out and are willing to assist anytime. Plus, you really want a no feeling, hardass making commish decisions I would have a munity before week 1 rolled around. I'm the complainer not the leader.

Buddy thinks that because most of his collegues are "Yes" men and a little Edneck humour seems harsh and upfront...he can relate, he can be just as unforgiven...Still me and Buddy have buried that hachet and I can respect him without being his bestest buddy.

After a quick glance, looks like I am done in the RW unless Jennings has a 26+ point game. That's asking too much. Also looks like Shak is done in the WP.

Shak & TB (most likely) finally lose a team, now that leaves only Reaper and Trash with both teams left.

The WP is has the following ranked teams left: (1)Cobb, (2) Trash, (3) TB, (10) Reaper, (11) Joe, (14) HArmon. HArd to believe the 10th,11th and 14th Ranked teams are still alive, Harmon has been living on borrowed time for a while now. Makes it a little easier for Cobb, Trash and TB to stay alive with those low ranked teams still playing. I would say Cobb and Trash will battle it out in the end.

RW: (1) Shak, (2) TT, (3) Trash, (4) Edneck, (6) Reaper, (10) Mario. This division will be hard to win with the top 4 teams still alive and the lowest team being ranked 10th. This could be anyones...a toss up for sure.
