Welcome to week 13. I'm half the owner I was a week ago, but I won't let that effect my prognostications (for the few out there that still visit this board).
RW -- Ednecks are immune. Teams still alive: (1)Shak (2)Trash (3)Tate (4)Ednecks (6)Reaper (9)Mario
Team in Jeopardy:
Mario -- Let's start this week with the lowest ranked team. He was without a starting QB and he is now without a PK, as the idiot kicker was let go in Dallas. He is also missing Portis and Toomer. This team is on life support and will need a career performance from the likes of Evans or Deuce.
Great Gay Reaper -- For the sake of competition, I'll list the next lowest ranked team on the island. Luckliy, this team has everyone healthy even if they aren't performing. Carson has a tough matchup vs. Balt and who knows what Rex will do. If Rex has a down week, GGR will need Caddy or Holt to step up because the rest of the guys are pretty lame.
Head says Mario is a goner. Heart says let GGR lose one of his teams. Gut says adios Mario.
WP -- GCobb is immune. Teams still alive: (1)GCobb (2)Trash (3)TB (10)GGR (11)Joe (14)Harmon.
Teams in Jeopardy Harmon -- Might as well start from the bottom and work our way up. Harmon has done just enough to get by (sounds like a government contractor, oops, he's actually now a civil servant). This team has a load of potential and could actually stick around for the duration. He gets Tatum back which is huge and it looks like Morency and DeAngelo will be getting more touches. Not to mention he has one of the top two QBs in Peyton and a dangerous WR in Boldin. This is not your typical #14 team.
Joe -- Joe is the other team to feel the pain of losing the idiot kicker. Just like Mario, Joe is now QB and K-less. Joe will need Westbrook and J Lewis to stay healthy and put up big numbers to keep his head above the water. Lewis goes Thurs night and Westbrook is Mon night, so Joe will be able to cheer them on. My thinking is Joe will have to cheer mighty hard on MNF to make it to the Final Four.
GGR -- Good news is GGR is alive in both leagues. Bad news is both teams are in jeopardy. Losing McNabb was crushing, but gaining Shaun is huge. Shaun will quickly find out that running over the Pack at home is a lot easier than running in Denver. If Shaun doesn't score in the 20's this team is hurting because he has nothing but 2nd tier players in Rhodes, M Barber, Horn, Wilford, and Evans.
Head says Harmon is actually pretty good and Joe will be getting the boot. Heart says surely one of GGR's teams will be history. Gut says GGR edges out Joe when Westbrook and Brown fall just short. |

Nice prognostications, Shak. I'd like to see Trash or Reaper lose a team this week, but I think your Gut is more likely than your Heart this week.

I'll agree Harmon is better then his ranking. Joe on the otherhand should have been gone a long time ago, I think it's time that weakass team hit the road :-)
Immunity has a great ring to it, you know what I'm talking about G.Cobb. Sort of like sweet music on a Sunday night.

Scotty, It goes to show it's never over until Shak starts singing. Some pretty lousy tackling, still it must have been a great game to watch.

Scotty, It goes to show it's never over until Shak starts singing. LMAO
That would have been a tough loss for either team. You know what I mean, serious emotional roller coaster for all those kids, their parents and families, and the coaches.

I agree. You know, it was cool to see the other team battling back, but I started feeling sorry for the team that had built that lead only to see it slipping away. You know some tempers were starting to flare.

The sad thing was you went from Hero too zero rather quick in that game. I remember my High School team made the finals of the Kentucky State basketball championship and were the #1 team in the state all year long, undefeated and looking good. The City was celebrating a win with 2 seconds to go, the other team hit's a hailmary from past half court, luck shot, banked in and we lose and you could just feel the pain of the players. everyone sitting there with their mouth's wide open and shocked, I'm sure that's how it was in that football game....You don't realize how much it hurts until you've been in one....sucks for sure.

Well, it seems injuries and released players spelled a demise for both me and Joe. I had 4 injuries and 1 released player, oh yeah, and an ASS&^%$ from MN who can't keep the ball on his team. I will be here next year though, this is fun as hell.

Based upon the fact that I have 5 players that decided not to get any points this week I guess I deserve to be booted..but I still have Westbrook and Reggie Brown Going tonight and they should be able to get 14.5 points to get rid of shak....If not, I was doomed by The patience of The Chicago bears with Gross Man, "The kicker" getting the boot, Culpeppers great preseaon being just a great Preseason, Ward taking a week off (his numbers were not that great anyway thanks to Big Ben sucking all year)and what happened to Barlow, I have him in every league I belong to..sniffle sniffle..ok, so if I am gone, good year guys, if not..

Sorry Joe, this fat lady is already out of the WP league. You need to get at least 23 points to have any hope of surviving another week. 32 points and you are safe for sure.
Scotty, very nice of Tressel to take the coward's approach to voting in the polls this week. I'm sure he didn't want to hurt anyone's feelings. To hide behind the conflict of interest excuse is pathetic. If that were a good reason, no coach would ever get to vote.

So who is out in that league, Grim Reaper? I can believe my other team scores 125 points the week after getting eliminated. Murphy's law or something. Thanks for coming through after I got eliminated Reggie Bush.

FWIW, I scored 73 with no kicker, no QB and 3 more zeroes. This team has to be gone soon. I was hoping my other team would be the one that I had a shot to win it with.

It is the Eagles Pride shining through my team ednecks....ok, Im just lucky as heck...now if they will only bench Grossman maybe I can get QB for the last 1/4 of the season..that would be nice.
Ok, is it just me or is ESPN really kissing Romos A$$ a little to much...I just heard an analyst on NFL Primetime call the Romo throw to Whitten "maybe one of the best throws you will ever see". Dont get me wrong he has had a great 6 games (5-1), but dont you think it is a little to soon to compare him to John Elway, Joe "McCabe" Montana or Ken Doll..um, I mean Tom Brady?
