A ton of injuries and six teams on byes -- 40 points should get you thru to the next week.

I don't know how Scotty survived his bye week hell, but he has not got to be considered a threat.

Since I didn't get around to making my picks last week, I'll get it done early this week.

Who's in trouble??

BW Division
Joe (14th) -- Joe could be QB-less as Bulger is his one and only QB. Joe has R Wayne and K Jones on byes and will be without Pittman. Joe will be paying close attention to the Eagles game as 50% of his active roster will be playing: Cotchery, R Brown, and Akers. Joe will also need S Alexander to turn back the clock vs. NO.

Midget Mauler (11th) -- MM will be watching the injury report as injuries and byes could do him in this week. M Lynch, A Gonzo, and J Hanson will be on byes. The walking wounded include Leinart, Westbrook, Boldin, and S Moss. If all our out, MM will need more than a L Washington ST TD to see next week.

SupaMario (2nd) -- SM just missed getting immunity and it may cost him dearly. How can a team that has not scored less than 91 points so far be in jeopardy? How about a wicked knee to the coconut? With Trent Green being laid out, SM will be QB-less until further notice. Probably not a real good strategy to go into a Survivor season with T Green as your only QB, but what do I know, SM is ranked #2 and I drafted two donuts in A Smith and Leftwich. Anyway, aside from his QB oversight, SM also has Furrey, Dal Clark, and Vinatieri on byes this week. Throw in L Jordan's injury problem and we have problems. SM will need LT to be superman to live another day.

Tribe (17th) -- The Tribe gets a mention just because he's the 17th ranked team (with 13 survivors!). This is a weak where his drafting strategy might pay off. Elam is on a bye, but he covered himself for this week by drafting Kaeding. Delhomme is on the shelf, but Hasselback is there to pick up the pieces. He will be short a scorer as A Train and Cal Johnson are on byes. He'll need government contractor work (do just enough to get by for another week) from T Jones, Portis, Ma Clayton, and Williamson. No job security for this team (I know the feeling).

Head -- Midget Mauler gets hurt by injuries.
Heart -- #2 team on the ropes?? Supa must leava.
Gut -- I think it could be a reality. Supa and LT off the island in week 6!

I won't even take the time to delve into the IMD Division. Plain and simple, it's time to put my team out of its misery. Here's my pitiful team:

QB -- A Smith (injured) and Leftwich (still sitting). Situation grim with little chance for improvement.

RB -- #1 RB T Henry staring a year suspension in the eye. Maybe he could hook up with PacMan and start a wrestling league or dog fighting operation.

WR -- S Smith went AWOL after week 2. Very little hope with Delhomme gone. Likewise, Colston and the rest of his Saints boyz should be taken out and shot (no, I'm not bitter).

TE -- Best WR, LJ Smith, has a tender groin. Come on, LJ, man up!

K -- Gould, ok I'm happy that I'm mediocre at this position. Maybe Gould can lead me to a championship.

Nah, just kill this team now!!

Yeah I was a little worried about my BW team with Kitna, Huard (hurt),Gore (Bye) and Duce being hurt it looked like I might be going, but with immunity that worry is over. In the IM this was the week to get rid of me with P. Manning and Pennington probably benched. After this week I really don't have many holes to worry about.

I'll agree with this amount of injuries, it would be nice to get rid of a few highly ranked teams instead of these boys ranked in the teens.

I'm pretty happy with both my teams, the usual Edneck type team, solid, not many holes, scores in the middle most weeks with the occasional bust out week. I really can't complain except with Glenn and Duece getting hurt I havn't had any worries.

I know it was discussed quite a bit over the last couple of weeks, but I didn't have a chance to weigh in. I think we should decide ASAP whether we want to add the TE position and/or add a couple of rounds. My belief is that the TE position probably increases the degree of difficulty too much too soon. I would much rather increase the draft by two rounds, since so many owners have huge holes in their rosters.

I think next year we can again discuss whether or not to make the TE positian mandatory.

What does everyone think about T Johnson not getting fined for taunting T Green after Green cut him. I first thought it was pretty funny seeing this huge man doing a somersault in the air and landing on his head, but I can see where he would be very upset at getting chopped at the knees. However, what kind of man berates a man that is lying motionless on the field? To take it further, how does a man continue his tirade after the game after you've seen him strapped down on a board and rushed to a hospital? With all the crackdowns in the NFL on thuggish behavior, I have a hard time believing they would not fine him for his postgame comments.

Just the lanaguage alone made Johnson sound like a uneducated fool. I know things move on and sometimes for the better, but in my day you blocked a guy anyway you could, chop, anything, this is pansy no-touch the QB NFL. I think the whole idea of not cutting a player when he's engaged is a good rule, but in the open field it's fair game as far as I'm concerned.

This is a contact/collision sport and nobodies crying about Leinhart's collarbone or Evertt,s broken neck. I know a lot of money is riding on these guys playing carrer's, but to mock and berate a guy that is so bad off he got knocked out and is lying hapless on the ground shows just how Momma rised some of these fools...and Fools is a accurate word. I would have fined him just for being a idiot. In my book Green sacrificed the body and payed the price and should be applauded.

I dont know about that, if it was a QB taken out at the knees the defender would be crucified. When he was running by talking crap, it was secondsafter the play, so I dont know that he knew he was hurt so bad. I would like to think he thought green was just being a QB in todays NFL...heat of the moment, you cant say you would not yell at him if he did the same to you.

I dont know if he knew how bad green was hurt after the game either, so I dont blame him for speaking out. There is so much trash talking after every play, it just happened to happen after a "good" QB got hurt and that is blowing this up. I could be dead wrong, but I dont think this is much of a big deal, if you have green on your roster you may think different though...

Shak I've changed my mind about the TE position, even though it's a Thin position it does add a element of strategy that will change up the draft quite a bit and I think that's a good thing. You will see guys like Heap, Witten, Crumpler, Watson go much higher then usual. I think If we add two more draft positions then we should add a 2 WR as a automatic counter. IT would be 1 QB, 1 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K..then the best flex scores, however many that is?

Any more changes and Scotty loses his copyright title and prestige!!

I'm with Shak, "Supa and LT off the rock this week" Even though Gates is taking over as the best player on that team, LT will get hot sooner or later and make life hard on us Gore Drafters...man SF's offense sucks dog dukey!! Havn't said that since 3rd grade, made me feel young again..funny that!!

Joe your a clown..Green was throwing a block, it happens every week to someone, Johnson just looked foolish getting his big ass dumped by a QB and wanted revenge..Plus he could hear Green snoring on the ground and still taunted him. You can tell your a Philly fan no compassion and you probably would have done the same thing and then spit in his face for good measure-:)

your a joke ednecks;)
Why is it when a philly fan does something bad the whole city is blamed but when fans from another team do something wrong, such as arizona, they are called just a couple crazy fans.

If you wanna debate the actions by johnson use actual facts, dont say he talked crap while he was listening to green snoring. I know thats BS and so do you, but there are people on here that will likely believe cause they dont know any better. Ask mario the last time he watched a football game. The media thrives off ignorant people that just take the ednecks of the world at their word.

Yes, good luck "at lasting" me Mario. If you wanna pick on my words right back at ya little nizzle! Your dumb and dont know anything about football, thats what makes your success in this league so hard on me buddy. sniffle sniffle. J/K, but serious, when I saw LT and his TD mounting I knew you would be in another week. And that made me sad...

hope everything is going good for you back at home and I Will get the addresses for you on monday. You wanted Bullers email address right? Or his phone number? BTW, you sent the request to my yahoo, not hotmail, I never check yahoo, and thats why I never got it;).

Anyway back to football, how about those Patriots, sick huh? Peterson seems to be a real steal and looks to be a top 5 pick next year if people can overcome the big names left on the board, ok, I gotta crash so goodnight ednecks...

The league rules had an overriding motto to keep it simple. We draft only 10 roster spots - which is still decent depth considering there are 18 teams - and from the 10 you will start 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR/TE, 1 K and 3 flex-RB/WR/TE each week.

Basically we look at your team after the week is over and see what would have been your best lineup and that's the points you get. So if your team is deep and all 10 players are playing then you have a better chance to post a good score. If you have 7 guys who start for their NFL team and 3 who are backups the you need your stars to play better every week to hang around. If you can draft 10 solid consistent players then you should go far. If you draft guys like the Corey Dillon of old who would get 35 points 1 week then 3 points, then 29, then 4 then you can see that on his bad weeks you could be hurting.

The weekly top scoring owner each week will gain immunity for the next week but it will only last through NFL season 15. Week 16 and 17 their will be no immunity and teams will face off for two weeks with the highest combined score the winner and 2nd highest gets second.

Tie breakers for any given week are TOTAL TD's scored by your team (whole roster), then total TD's scored by your lineup (your actually lineup) then rushing TD's, recieving TDs and finally passing TD's. It will probably never even get to a tiebreaker but you never know.

And no transactions after the draft, you get what you draft to last you all 17 weeks! You can trade during the draft but the max # of players you can have is 10. All trades must be for even number players or picks ie 1 for 1, 2 for 2, 3 for 3 etc.

Scoring
Rules for QB Event Range (Low-High) Points
Passing Yards 25-999 1 point for every 25
Passing Yards 300-999 3
Rushing Yards 10-999 1 point for every 10
Rushing Yards 100-999 3

Rules for QB, RB, WR, TE, PK Event Range (Low-High) Points
Number of Passing TDs 1-99 6 points each
Pass Interceptions Thrown 1-99 -2 points each
Passing 2 Pointers 1-99 2 points each
Number of Rushing TDs 1-99 6 points each
Rushing 2 Pointers 1-99 2 points each
Number of Receiving TDs 1-99 6 points each
Receiving 2 Pointers 1-99 2 points each
Number of Field Goals Made 1-99 3 points each
Extra Points 1-99 1 point each
Fumbles Lost (to Opponent) 1-99 -2 points each

Rules for RB, WR Event Range (Low-High) Points
Rushing Yards 10-999 1 point for every 10
Rushing Yards 100-999 3
Receiving Yards 10-999 1 point for every 10
Receiving Yards 100-999 3
Receptions 1-99 0.5 points each

Rules for TE Event Range (Low-High) Points
Rushing Yards 10-999 1 point for every 10
Rushing Yards 100-999 3
Receiving Yards 10-999 1 point for every 10
Receiving Yards 75-999 3
Receptions 1-99 1.0 point each

TE's are treated as Wr's in this league just so you know.

Draft
The draft is serpentine with a twist in 2005. As usual we will roll them bones. All 18 owners will roll and I will verify all rolls, my roll will be verified by Shak/Clyde. This season we will actually run two leagues simultaneously which also means two drafts simultaneously. This is the idea, we sort out from the bone rolls who picks 1st through 18 (100 is the best, 1 is the lowest) and more bone rolling instructions will come. Owner #1 will pick what draft position he wants in draft #1. Owner #2 will pick his slot and so forth and down to owner #18. In mirror league the owner with #18 will select what draft pick he wants first in draft #2, owner #17 will pick next and so forth down to owner #1. Does that make sense? I'll clarify in another post if it appears to be too complicated, which it is not.

2006 payouts are as follows ($50 entry fee)
Survivor in each league gets $210
Runner up in each league gets $75
Highest total score for all 17 weeks gets $50 in each league.
Owner who survives the most weeks combined between two leagues gets $180.
Score Keepers get a $25 discount

That adds up to $900 which is the entry fee in full, no site to payout, you get IT ALL BACK
