#1 pick

1.01 Ladainian TOmlinson, RB, SD

I took the first pick because I woudl be assured of getting AP or LT. AP is much improved this year but still has Chester in his way. LT doesn't even have Turner behind him anymore (like that relaly mattered in the first place).

Also was worried about LT's decline last year. Freakin Norv...but from everything I read, LT is as good as ever and the offense really is built around him. As long as Rivers can get the passing game going, LT will open it up even more. Heck, some of those passes will also go to LT and if Rivers doens't get it going--LT hsa ben known to throw a few too.

I'm hoping this year mark the return to LT dominance. I hate the long delay to get back to me, but I know I should get two nice WRs b2b if there isn't a top flight RB left at 2.14.

Draft pick was #7, the best I could do. I do like the middle
though -- less stress while waiting to pick. And then Toral and
B7 and I did all that rearranging. We'll compare stats at the end
of the season and see who "won out".

1.02 Brian Westbrook RB PHL

I did a pretty complicated three way trade with B7 and Toral to
get to this position. Although I thought I could get a very good
RB at #7, I really wanted Westbrook -- and apparently it was not
a secret -- thanks to Toral’s post! If he stays injury free, he
should put up some good numbers. I wanted him over the other
RB so that I could watch him play here in Philly. (This might be
a girl thing.)

I gave up my 4th round pick, have 2 in round 5, gave up my 6th
round pick and have 2 in round 7. This progression definitely
will influence how I plan rounds 2 and 3.

1.03 Adrian Peterson, RB, MINMy other consideration was Steven Jackson, but he had not gone to camp yet. I had to have a player here that was going to perform because it was a lot of picks before I picked again. If Jackson holds out longer and/or gets dinged then my season is over before it starts.

4th Pick - If I had thought about it more, I would've taken the 5th or 6th pick. I didn't want to chance Barber not being there. I expect huge things for him this year. I had target Barber and Maroney for my first two picks and that's what I got so it all worked out.1.04 Marion Barber, RB, DALMarion, "The Barbarian" Barber has the ability to be a workhouse. With the departure of Julius Jones, he now has the reins. I expect him to take full advantage of that. Splitting time with Jones last year, he still finished as a Top 10 back. A new Jones is now in the fold, but I think we'll see quite a bit of both of them and Felix will complement Barber nicely. More about him later...

1.05 Joseph Addai, RB, IND

I had the 3rd choice and took the 2nd slot. I then traded that for the 5th slot and upgrades in rounds 2 and 6. Others consdidered were S. Jackson, and Brady. I didn't want to trade beyond the 5th pick, because I showed a dropoff there. So Judy dragged Toral into the deal, and the rest is history. If Adrian Peterson has a big season, this was probably a bad move.

#6 pick
It seems like I have continually been drafting in the 10-12 range in my last several drafts wether it be football, baseball, or basketball so I definitely wanted to pick as high as possible. I am discovering that I like picking closer to the ends however because I can try to plan two picks at once. #6 is just close enough to the end that I think I can plan two picks but can't actually do it due to the queue running out.

1.06 Steven Jackson, RB, StL
I did not want to take Brady this early because I dont think he will have quite as spectacular of a year as he did last year. So I spent the first 5 picks hoping for someone to take Brady so that one of the top 5 would fall to me. When Pete took Barber it opened up the chance for me to grab whoever was left of the top 5 which ended up being Jackson. I would have preferred Addai and tried to make a last minute trade to get him. I think Jackson has a higher upside than Addai but I didn't necessarily want to risk a first round pick on someone who is still not in camp.
I have talked myself into Jackson more and more since I drafted him. As long as he shows up I think he will rebound from an injury plagued season and the entire Rams offense will rebound.

5th Draft Choice/Trade to 7th in First Round

At the time I was selecting a draft choice, I had 5 players in my top tier (counting LT, who really has his own tier) and so the #5 pick in the first round was a perfect choice.

After some further consideration, I had added 2 players to my top 5 -- Joseph Addai (who should have been there originally) and Tom Brady, making a #7 position ideal. So when Judy contacted me about a trade to #7, it was relatively easy to work out a fair exchange. I have a friend with a fancy analyzer of value of draft choices, and the choices Judy was willing to offer turned out almost exactly even in worth to those I was giving up. The guy I has originally hoped would still be around at #5, Steven Jackson, was still there then, so this could prove to be a costly decision.

1.07 Frank Gore, RB, SF
(choice obtained by trade from Building7 via Judy)

I don't think anyone doubts Gore's talent; the questions are how he will fit in with Mike Martz's offence and how the uncertainty at QB will affect him. On consideration, I expect him to do fine. He can be expected to have fewer carries and rushing yards, but this should be offset by a gain in passing yards. And Martz likes to switch and go to the run at the goal line; the Lions last year were last in rushing attempts but above average in rushing TDs. He's as good a bet as any RB after LT, basically, as I see it.

pick #8 My top group of RBs goes 8 deep, and the plan was to make sure I get one of them. I also generaly prefer to pick towards the middle in order to avoid getting burned by big position runs and have a better feel for the draft. 1.08 Marshawn Lynch, RB, BUF Like I expected, out of my top 8 backs only one is still out there, and I'm more then happy that it's Lynch as I have him ranked #6. He is an every-down back with no competition for touches of any kind on a run first team. With the legal problems behind him and no injuries on the radar, Lynch is about as sure thing as it gets for +300 carries, and with his kind of talent that many touches should translate into great numbers.

1.09 Tom Brady, QB, NE Choosing a QB in the 1st round is something that I have not previously done, but I felt that Brady's value was significantly better than the remaining RBs. I also thought that I would be able to get a decent RB at 2.06.

Actually, I could not have planned it any better for my pick. From the very first day I started my research. I wanted the tenth spot. And amazingly enough, I was targeting Clinton Portis. Hoping for a top tier back in the first round and a top tier WR on the rebound.

1.10Clinton Portis, RB, WASH and I are old friends. He’s the president and CEO of the “Players I’m never drafting again” club. His injury wracked 2006 season destroyed my AA team in that year. Well, I’m selecting him in round one yet again on the premise that good fantasy managers need to have short memories and even shorter biases. He’s got no direct challengers as far as his playing time goes and he won’t be part of a RBBC. His new coach is installing a pseudo-west coast offense, but I expect him to be a large part of that passing game. Plus, he’ll need lots of carries for the Skins to be competitive in the NL East. Last year a lot of fantasy owners discounted Portis' fantasy potential because of his knee tendonitis, and that proved to be a huge mistake.

Plan B was LJ, Lynch or Grant, but Portis was THE guy I wanted. Had Portis been taken, my pick would have been delayed while I decided. A QB or WR is not a viable option IMO in this format in the first round. Stud RBs rule.

0.11 Pick #11
I am not a friend of picking at the end of a draft. in a 14 team league I prefer #5 to #10, so #11 is as close as it can get with the options left (11-14)

1.11 Randy Moss, WR, NE
a few picks ago I was thinking about Brady, Portis, Lynch and Moss (in that order). Only Moss survived. Even if his production is down by 30 percent to last season he will still be the #1 receiver. Compared to the remaining RBs ( if healthy, Jones-Drew, Grant), the point production (200pts) isn't much different. it could be possible that one of these RB will make it back to me with QBs and WRs taken earlier this year.

#12 pick There wasn't much decision to be made w/ only the 12th and 13th available. I wanted to stay as far off the end as I could get.

1.12 Larry Johnson, RB KC Similar to youngroman, after the 7th pick I was hoping one of Lynch, Brady, Portis, and Moss would be left at #12. So, I'm not thrilled with LJ here, but I do have faith that the former top 2-3 pick can produce. Everything I've heard says he's healthy, but that will only be half the battle with his questionable line and QB. Grant was my other consideration here.

#14 Apparently a poor choice. My thought was that by #11 the top backs I wanted would all be gone and a higher round two compensate. Especially after last year when I picked at #11 and took Jones-Drew and Benson in the first two rounds.

1.14 Terrell Owens, WR Dal I wanted a solid contributor in the first round and I felt like the RB's available(Jones-Drew, Jacobs, Lewis) were not first round material and had risk. Not that TO doesn't have risk but I proved to myself last year that overdrafting RB's was not a good strategy for me. Maybe I'll do RB by committee like half the NFL.

2.1 Peyton Manning, QB Ind Again the RB's were not worth this high of pick to me. Manning I think will be ready when the season starts and again I expext solid numbers with the always present potential to blow the roof off. Also I can be more patient in drafting a backup which should help me later.

2.03 Reggie Wayne, WR, IND

My queue setup for Rd 2 started with Wayne, TO, and Peyton, in that order. MJD was next on my list, but I was hoping to not get a second RB. I felt that there would be some acceptable RBs available at 3.12, so I wanted to get a different position out of the way. I had Wayne on my team last year and he put up good numbers for me. I'm hoping for more of the same (and hopefully more!)

2.04 Maurice Jones-Drew, RB, JAC

with 3 picks to go I entered MJD, Fitzgerald and Wayne into my queue for this pick. I expect all of them to get me equal production, but MJD was worth the most because I went with Moss in round 1. this gives me WR-RB instead of WR-WR and a worry which reliable RBs may be left in the next 2 or more rounds. MJD is a (undrafted) injury away of being the starter or lone back in Jacksonville. I think this will happen sooner than later. add that he will see more touches in the passing game and may do some kick returns too. sum all that up and you have a 1st rounder with potential. good to see such a guy fall to me at 2.04.

2.05Braylon Edwards, WR, CLE

I usually go RB, RB in this format, but it looks like the next tier RB will hold out for a bit, so I went for WR1. I gambled that the top 2 QBs would fall before my second pick and they did.So that left me a top tier WR. With one pick before me, I had Maurice Jones-Drew and Edwards left in my queue. YR made my choice final when he picked Jones-Drew. Other wide outs considered were taken just before Edwards: TO, Reggie Wayne, and Fitz.

2.06 Brandon Jacobs RB, NYG

After taking Brady in the 1st round there was no option other than taking a RB with my 2nd pick. I am a Giants fan and have been watching Jacobs since his rookie year when he took TDs away from Tiki Barber. He improved last year even though he was hampered by injuries. I am hoping for a breakout season in 2008.

2.07 Jonathan Stewart, RB, CAR
What a mess... I left a 4 man que for this pick, and all 4 of them were taken within the last 5 picks infront of me... I wan't online all day monday, and only when I finaly came home at night I saw that the draft passed me by a couple of rounds.

Stewart was the guy I marked for my 3rd pick, but unfortunaly I was forced into making him my 2nd roudner. There are no questions about his terific talent and skills, but he is still a rookie and has some health problems going into the season. Sooner or later he is going to be the clear #1 in Carolina, and I really need it to be more sooner the later.

2.08 Jamal Lewis, RB, CLE

I moved from pick #27 to #22 with the Westbrook trade. I was hoping to get this guy. Not sure I could have with #27. Other candidates were A. Johnson, and Romo.
Jamal is the starter, had a good season last year, had a good 2nd half, plus I'm a Browns fan. I have 2 good RB's to start my draft, and now I'll have to fill out the rest of my roster.

2.09 Tony Romo

I am usually a proponent of RB-RB in the first two rounds but I felt Romo had too much value at this pick. I have him porjected as easily the #2 QB this year, close to Brady. And I had a few RBs left in my next tier so I thought that one would slip to me in the third round. That combination made me forget my former strategy and pick up a QB in round two.

2.10 Andre Johnson, WR, Hou

On a per game basis, Johnson outscored every WR not named Moss last year. The knee is a concern, of course. Jamey Eisenberg, picking him in the CBS/PFW mock, summed it up by saying that Andre will be the #1 WR in football this year -- if healthy. 1300 yards and 12 TDs seems to be a consensus projection.

2.11 Laurence Maroney, RB, NEWith my first two picks, I have two horses in the backfield. I enjoy both Maroney and Barber's running style. I always prefer a runningback who'd rather run you over then try to run around you. Maroney is a bowling ball and I expect him to strike through many defenders. If the playoffs are any indication, Maroney will have a much bigger role this year. I expect more consistency and good numbers with him running for an explosive offensive unit.

2.12 Drew Brees, QB, NO I wanted a quality QB this year as last year I had QB's from SF and TB. I knew I had a good RB, and three of the best 4 QB's were already gone. I saw a drop off in QB quality and a lot of great WR were gone. I also liked the NO OL.

2.13 Marques Colston WR NO

This was 5 away from my original pick (due to my trades), and my goal was to pick a top tiered
QB or WR , whichever seemed to rank higher in their respective positions. I decided to take
Brees, but then Dave snatched him away from me in the pick before! So it made my choice a
top WR and I took Colston. With Brees throwing to him, he should be the top WR on his team
throughout the season. He has been strong since his rookie season and I expect that success
to continue.

2.14 Michael Turner RB ATL

I was prepared to go WR/WR here if there wasn't a top RB since there were so many top WRs I liked this year. But there sat Turner. I've loved this guy in SD as a backup but now he gets the reigns in ATL where the coach loves what he can do. He has great burst, can trun the corner and has breakaway speed. Pretty happy this guy was still there. Just hope the passing game can do something so the Ds don't key on the run every play.

3.01 T.J. Houshmandzadeh WR CIN

This was a tough call--only because so many nice WRs to choose from. I love TJ, but I think he has even more value when CJ is healthy and on the field to avoid the double teams. I had Colston just a smidge ahead of him because of their schedules, but not unahppy to wind up with TJ at all. As long as he's healthy, this guy is a stud with low risk. That's what I want from my #1 WR

3.03 Thomas Jones RB NYJ 3 more WR went right before this pick. I thought with the recent signing of Brett and the changes in the NYJ OL that he was ranked a little low. I like players from the AFC East and AFC West as their schedule is easier than some other divisions.

3.04 Roy Williams WR DET Time for a WR at this point. Roy Williams has been one of my favorite players, going back to his days at UT. He's a big, physical, and fast man on a mission this year. 3.05 Willis McGahee RB BALT Willis is, uh, one of my least favourite players. I took a strong dislike to him when he played for my Bills and he hasn't done anything to move up in my estimation since. However, lazy as he is, and despite the knee, he is still well ahead of any other RB by my rankings, a #2RB who could be a #1 if he decides to be. I expect him to put up his 1100 yards and 6 TD. Steve Smith was the other guy I considered here, but there seems to be enough talent remaining at WR to pass on him.

3.06 Willie Parker RB PGH I was really targeting McGahee here as I thought he was a top 20 player I could get in the third round. When he went the pick before me I was flummoxed and trying to decide between a wide receiver or a running back. I decided I definitely wanted a quality running back here because I had no idea who might make it all the way back around to me in the fourth. Willie Parker was one of the leading rushers last year, he just didn't hit the end zone very often. I expect that his TD total last year was a fluke low and will rebound to a respectable number this season. I am expecting 1400 rushing yards and 6- 8 TDs out of this spot.

This is back to my normal position. Because I do not have a pick in Round 4, and there will be 26
players pulled off the list until I pick next, I decided it was time for a QB, so that I could get a
“good” one. I chose Donovan McNabb for three reasons: 1) he was one of the top ranked one left, 2) I believe that he is fully recovered from his injuries, and, of course, 3) I can watch him play every

3.09 Plaxico Burress, WR, NYG

Burress can be an elite WR this season if his ankle is fully healed (I think it is.), and if he does not have lackadaisical games as his had on occasions in 2006. If Randy Moss and T.O. can put in 100% effort, so can Burress. Winning the Super Bowl aside, Manning showed significant improvement last year and I think his continued growth can only benefit Burress.

I kind of agonized here looking for RB2. Bush has certainly not lived up to his hype, but maybe 3rd year is a charm. Perhaps a tick more upside than the others who were considered. not many true starting RBs left: Graham, James, thats it. I better grab one here than in the next 2 rounds. 2nd tier WRs will still be available next round.

Graham will be starting for Tampa. They don't have a reliable QB, so they may run a lot. Dunn is in the mix, but I see him more as a short-yardage RB or receiver (like the now 4th RB in NE). he should net me around 1200 rushing yards with a TD in every other game. with a bit of receiving that adds up to 180pts. I'm not asking for more here.

3.12 Edgerrin James, RB, ARI

When I came to the 3-4 turn, I knew I wanted another RB and WR with my next two picks. Based on eserel and Eville having picked only 1 RB at that point, I thought it would be best to go for the RB in Rd 3. My original thoughts for this Rd were that I'd be able to pick up a guy like Willie Parker or Thomas Jones at this spot, or even Earnest Graham. As Rd 3 progressed, Jones and Parker were quickly taken, which left we with Graham and Bush (who had fallen unexpectedly, and I really didn't expect to fall that far). Once my turn was up and those guys were all gone, I decided to pass up McFadden's potential for the consistency of Edge.

value, so I pass on them. WR I liked here: Wes Welker and Anquan Boldin or the top TE Jason Witten.
Welker was taken in front of me so it was either Witten or Boldin. A healthy Boldin should produce
slightly more than Witten, but he is not healthy, at least not now. Boldin also has problems with his
cheap contract and you never know where this ends. he may not give 100 percent for the cheap
money.
on the other side is Jason Witten. he has no known injury, the same top-QB, the same top RB and WR
on his side, so opponents will not know whom to cover, which means if they are covering any of the
other threats he will be open for the short or medium pass. he will come close to 1000 yards again,
with a TD in every other game. good enough for a 4th round pick.
I also hope that the others jump on the TE-train and select a few more TEs (Winslow, Gates, Gonzalez,
maybe even (undrafted) and (undrafted)) until the draft makes it back to me to give me more valuable
options at WR.

4.05 Ben Roethlisberger, QB, PIT

Again I struggled a little with my pick here. But it’s a long time before I pick again and I was afraid
of being stuck with a questionable or poor QB, so while I had many choices, I figured I’d grab one.
Looked at either my WR2 or RB3, but felt there was still plenty of talent left in those choices. Also
considered-Palmer, undrafted, and Gerrard.

4.06 Jericho Cotchery, WR, NYJ

In the early rounds I want to build the core of my offense. There were no RBs left that I thought
were terrific and it was too early for a TE. The WR receiver position offerred the best value.
Cotchery is NYs #1 WR and with Favre throwing down field to him I am hoping for a big season.
The NY press is reporting that Cotchery and Favre are developing a rapport which should translate
into yards and TDs.

4.07 Calvin Johnson WR DET Johnson is a pyshical freak and was hyped as one of the top WR prospects of the decade last year, hopefully this year he will start to live up to those expectations. With a year of experience uder his belt, I'm looking for a monster year from him.

4.08 Anquan Boldin, WR, Ari
Pick acquired from Judy by trade

This pick was acquired in the trade with Judy in which I moved down in the first round. Boldin was
the top player on my list by a good margin at this point. Fitzgerald and Boldin seem to alternate
having the better years, and with Fitzgerald having a contract extension and Boldin looking for a new
contract, it's quite possible that they could reverse positions again with Boldin having the better year.
He should be recovered from his toe and hip injuries this year. Mart Leinart's productivity is the main
question mark here; I'm glad that Warner is around to step in if necessary

The question in my mind when I made the trade was moving up 11 spaces in this round, at the
expense of losing a first-rounder, would be worth possibly losing out on Steven Jackson. In the 4th
round I was able to acquire Boldin and Marshall. For the most part I view that as a worthwhile
upgrade on the player combos I would have been able to get with my original picks -- except that
Selvin Young (5.08), who I consider a comparable player. So whether the deal was worth it or not is
to me still uncertain.

4.09 Antonio Gates TE SD

Was targeting the WR/TE spot here and decided to go for one of the top tight ends rather than a second
or third tier wideout. Gates has been a top tight end producer for years and should have another
excellent year this year. Rivers is one yera more mature and Gates was one of the top red zone targets in
the league and I expect that to remain the same. He is no longer worthy of a second round pick but I felt
he gave excellent value in the fourth round.

4.10 Brandon Marshall, WR, Den

This was a tough decision, unlike my pick of Boldin two rounds earlier. I am not particularly
concerned by his three-game suspension (which will probably be reduced to two). I'm more
interested in whether players will be around at the end of the season than the beginning. But his
various brushes with the law, along with his odd arm injury, raise the question of whether he is
going to prove an incurable head case. Still -- I was very weak at WR last year, picking two RBs,
Gates, and a QB early, and it was no fun. The idea of owning three of the top 15 WRs was appealing
enough that I couldn't turn it down.

Other players I seriously considered here were Kellen Winslow (4.14), Selvin Young (5.08) and
LenDale White (5.14)

4.11 Marvin Harrison, WR, IND

Harrison's career is slowly coming to an end. However, this isn't a keeper league and I still see Starvin
Marvin as a solid number 2 this year. I believe he slid some due to age and Manning being hurt. I'll take
my chances. Harrison is a model of consistency when healthy.

4.14 Kellen Winslow TE CLE

Had no plans to get a TE here. But no WRs stood out. Think I can wait until 6.14 to find someone
in same tier. Winslow is a top tier TE and I can forget about the slot now. DA loves him.

5.01 Derek Anderson QB CLE

Didnt know if I could wait two rds to get a top QB and waiting on a WR, it seemed like QB was the
way to go. Thought about Palmer--but Cleveland loves to pass and DA is the reason. Hoping he's
100% obviously. Also pairs up my KW combo.

Not too excited about this pick, but I am not sure what will be left for my next pick. Really considered
Patrick Willis (SF) here. Also R. White and Lendale White.
It now looks like not many QB's were selected in next two rounds. So, too early with this one. But, he
should be good for 4000 yards. Some TD's. They'll ususally be playing from behind, so lots of passing.

5. 05 Ricky Williams RB MIA

I got this one in my trade -- from Toral/B7. I decided to take the top RB or WR while also looking for a
starter. I chose Ricky Williams because I believe that he will have a “break out” year if he stays healthy.
He is pushing R Brown for the starting job and I think he will get a lot of carries regardless. I think that
Parcells likes him and there is no doubt that he has talent. Not having a round 4 pick was hard to sit
through.

5.07 Santana Moss WR WASH

This is my pick. Since I chose a RB at 5.05, I chose a starting WR here. I lost out on the top tier ones
who were snatched away (again) in the picks ahead of me! I think that Santana can have a really good
season. His QB is poised for a solid year and if Moss remains the primary target, I’ll be all set! If not,
well...

I now have 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, all of whom should be starters. It is not too bad, but not as good as some
of you.

I do not have a pick in round 6, so I will be waiting while 23 more players come off the board. I have
two picks in round 7 and then I am back to normal. I have no idea who will be left and how I will be
picking. I haven’t even made a preferred list yet! I do hope there are some players left!

5.09 Matt Forte, RB, CHI
I was still concentrating on offense and wanted to pick another RB while some decent starters remained.
It was between Selvyn Young, Matt Forte and Fred Taylor. Young was chosen right before me, so I had to
choose between a rookie with good upside potential and the veteran with many carries and hits over the
years. Forte apparently won the starting job, and I usually will go with youth; therefore I picked Forte.

5.10 Dallas Clark, TE, IND

I was looking at pass catchers for this set of picks. Clark, Cooley, and Ward were my main interest.
It was more of a matter of who might make it back to me. Decided Clark, mainly because of his end
zone looks. I think I read somewhere that he lead the league, last year. His production of just under
700 yards should not be hard to duplicate. Matching last year's 11 TDs might be asking too much.

5.11 Lee Evans, WR, BUF

With the starting slots at RB and TE filled, this was either QB (too many choices still out there),
WR (the current tier is thin), D (too early) or IDP (too early). This leaves me with my decision at
WR: Evans, Curtis, Burleson, Chambers, Ward are draftable here. I don't expect Evans to make it
back to me so I picked him. I believe that most of the others will make it back and I will have to
do the hard decision then.

I expect Evans to get 1000 yds and 6 TD, which adds to 136 pts. that is more than most of the
other available WRs, but with less risk.

5.12 Kevin Smith RB DET

I'm not even sure if this guys the starter at the beginning of the season, but I'm betting at some point he
will be. I drafted the two-headed Lions MONSTER (undrafted and undrafted) last year and got only spot
starts out of them. If LJ and Edge stay healthy that's all I'll need from Smith out of this pick. In a best-
case scenario all three of them are healthy and productive starters, and they can be interchangeable. If
one or more go south, it could be a long year.

I wanted a 3rd RB, given the uncertainty of my first two, and I wanted to get him on this side of the 3-4
turn, as Eville had no RBs and I was again expecting him to take a couple. I had considered both Brown
and White with this pick, but ultimately got scared away from both of them.

6.03 Patrick Willis, LB SFO

I had offered up this pick for trade. I was feeling that no matter what I did here, I would be reaching. I
wanted to start concentrating on IDP, but it seemed too early. There was nothing standing out at 6.03
that I didn't feel would still be there nearer the end of the 6th.

Among the guys I was considering around this time were Willis, McGee, Cooley, and even Ted Ginn. I
figured the biggest impact player of these is Willis (McGee a close second). I'm more inclined to choose
LBs when it's close, given their higher point totals overall, so Willis was the pick. Other LBs started
going in the 7th, so I wasn't way too early.

6.04 Nate Burleson, WR, SEA

I was wondering that he wasn't taken earlier. I wanted him one round earlier, but thought I could
pass on him because he will make it back. And he did. With the injury to Engram he is again the #1
receiver (like last year) and he is still projected to be their primary returner which adds to his value.
with receiving alone he is worth 120pts. add all those returning yards and he will be worth much
more.

he is the 1st recurring member on my team. I never had any of my first five picks before. welcome
back Nate, and keep it going.

post-draft note: just hours after I drafted him it was decided that he will not return punts this year.

I do like having a tandem QB and WR on the same team. A TD pass between them can really rock your
score. While a finish as WR31 in 2007 certainly dampens any enthusiasm about selecting Ward this season,
it is important to take note of the fact that Hines Ward has been a top-10 fantasy receiver in 3 of the last 4
seasons in which he has played at least 15 games.

6.08 Terrence McGee, DB, BUF

If he returns kickoffs again, this should work out well. I look for a gap between the top guy at
a position, and the next guy. The DB position indicated a 20-30 point gap. The DL position
also had a nice gap between Jared Allen and the next guy. Ditto with Patrick Willis. I was
hoping Allen would make it back to me, but he didn't even come close. This pick was from
Judy and allowed me to move up 8 spots. I didn't do much with it, as I probably could have got
him 8 spots later.
I've always wanted this guy in an IDP league. He's the LT of DB's. I'm hoping he keeps it up. He
also lead the league in PD's. I think that means they pick on him a lot, and the other CB is
better. This is a good thing in fantasy football.

I originally thought this was a value pick. getting a normally solid starter with an injury bug in the sixth

getting playing time in the final preseason game. Hopefully i dont run into RB injuries because I am
really thin at that position. That being said, last season I had Ronnie Brown, rudi johnson, and Deuce

playoff run so maybe RB depth is overrated.

With six possible RB3s going off the board in the previous round, my remaining tier of possible
RB3s was thinning out, and Julius Jones was at the top of it. There are problems with him. He
has a challenge to his job in Maurice Morris, and his 3.6 AVG last year was, well, bad. I am
hoping that he can fend Morris off and that his weak performance last year was partly due to
dissatisfaction at his small role.

I also considered Rashad Mendenhall (7.03) here but had too much doubt about how the

Not gonna lie, this is a bit of a homer pick (I am a diehard Cowboys fan). With that said, this pick also gives me
insurance on my number 1 pick. There has been plenty of talk of having a backfield of both Jones and Barber. This
will only increase his value. He should be a solid 3rd down back and a factor in the return game. If the season goes
