I have set up a CBS pick the winners pool (weighted picks) for the AAA1/2 managers. If you want to join us, shoot me an email and I will send you an invitation.
No money involved, just pride!
Russelld if you start a new thread can you put this in it?

Sandwich Statics- Rheo Vampire Slayer- Jseth333 Fighting Amish- PermDude Miss State Bullfrogs (game 2 only)- Dreamin' Master of my Domain- VP
Is the Fanball site terribly slow for everyone else? This is pretty ridiculous how slow it is.

I never got a response from Russell on why we still can't pick up Free Agents. I thought the players were supposed to be free to acquire after Wednesday at noon, but I am still unable to add players. Because of this I don't have a kicker still, and was not able to set my lineup in time for today's game.
And yeah the slowness of Fanball only adds to my frustration.
Ok, I'm set now, thanks. Am I out of luck as far as getting Jacobs game this week? I can start White instead, but I don't think it should be hard for anyone to believe I had intended to start Jacobs.
If we're able to change it, I'm fine with swapping Jacobs for White. If he wasn't able to set his lineup due to lacking a kicker, that's a good enough reason. Plus, yeah, Jacobs would be starting over White normally.
If no one has an objection I'll fix it (assuming I can). If you have an objection email it to me asap. I'll also run it by guru to get his take on it.

Obviously he wasn't able to set his lineup without a kicker, and since he was unable to pick up a kicker I think it should be alright that he can name who he wants in his lineup. And since Jacobs was his 3rd round pick and he's healthy it would only make sense that he'd start him over Lendale.
yah, meant to post this morning... if it was a case of he had a full lineup, I would say no, you had all week... but since his lineup was not set because of a glitch? then np with me...
Yeah, White only put up points because Johnson came out of the game, heh.
I'm just glad my team is injury free so far this week after seeing multiple injuries, mostly knees, including Brady likely being done for the season. And to think I had him targeted at 1.07. Glad he went early.
all players are locked until wed when waivers are processed. You could have picked anyone up until 5 minutes before their kickoffs. You can check the main RIFC thread and the rules are posted there.

Just a heads up: this is from the RIFC thread and it happens to affect me :-/
Ref: "Looks like Fanball just changed Suggs from a DL to a LB. I have him in AAA1, but even though it's calling him a LB, he is still in the DL slot and thus far s still showing my lineup as legal. Haven't looked to see if they've done the same thing with Justin Smith or not. Hopefully, it won't matter as I'd have never drafted Suggs if he was listed as a LB."
Guru: "Suggs. Ugh.
Our past policy on position changes is that a player may continue to be used at the position he was listed at in the draft. So, Suggs may continue to be used as a DL.
Unfortunately, this requires some messiness. Fanball does not allow me to adjust a player's position eligibility. So, I will have to change the stated rules to allow no DL, and administer this manually. Each team will still be required to start at least one DL (with Suggs considered a DL), even though the site will not disallow a lineup with no DL. I'll just have to make sure everyone complies."
Russell, I thought I'd let you know that I'd like to continue to use Suggs as a DL so you'll have to change the league settings so that it allows for 0 DL to be started and 5 LBs. We'll also have to monitor every team each week, to make sure that everyone has a DL started (unless it's Suggs, or any other player who might change positions).
Sorry to cause this messiness, I was kind of hoping Fanball would keep him DL all year even though he's really a LB. Should I also mention that I have Justin Smith too, a DL who played some LB yesterday...
Oh yah, and Burleson is now out for the year. Great, Hasselbeck is looking worse and worse.
my #56 greg ellis is listed as dl. i always thought the nfl had jersey number requirements.also RUSSELL do you mean 5 minutes before thur nite. kickoff or before a sunday game at 100. in other word if a player plays sun, then i can pick him up sat. nite?
5 minutes before the kickoff of the game they are playing in, not the first overall game.

Well Promize, I doubt you want to go without a kicker this week and Vinatieri is on bye. You have one on the bench so I am pretty sure that Russell could set your lineup and put in Prater.
Just in case you can't get in and you want to set your lineup here's what you've go going this week.
QB D. McNabb, PHI RB L. Tomlinson, SD RB J. Stewart, CAR WR M. Jones, JAC WR L. Fitzgerald, ARI WR L. Coles, NYJ ARI TE R. McMichael, STL PK A. Vinatieri, IND (BYE) Def Jaguars DL K. Vanden Bosch, TEN LB D. Jackson, CLE LB D. Ryans, HOU LB L. Fletcher, WAS LB M. Peterson, JAC DB R. Barber, TB
Bench Players QB A. Rodgers, GB QB M. Ryan, ATL RB D. Sproles, SD RB C. Perry, CIN WR D. Avery, STL WR M. Colston, NO PK M. Prater, DEN Def Redskins DB R. Harrison, NE (BYE)
I'll see what I can do to send you a new invite or something along those lines. In the meantime, if you need any lineup changes let me know and I can make them for you. This is the first year I've used Fanball and I've been pretty disappointed with it also.
Should rename my team to The Chokers. Two losses by a combined total of less than 3 points it looks like.

Miss State Bullfrogs doesn't have a starting defense which is an illegal roster. I'm not 100% positive, but I am pretty sure you can't win, or score points, with an illegal roster. I may be confusing my leagues, but I think you have to adjust his score to a 0. It sucks because it hurts my PA, but in the long run it doesn't matter.

Just checked Fanball before heading to bed to see that Winfield all of a sudden doesn't have credit for his TD off the FG block. If that doesn't get restored on their end, it's going to need to be changed manually.
I also find it funny that Gurudan started 2 different lineups this week. I beat one and lost to the other. Lucky for him he started the right one in my game.

Wow, Bush is far surpassing anything I thought he would do. That really makes up for the bust McGahee was. Going into tonight I thought 1-1 was a possibility, and after Shiancoe caught that TD I turned off the game, since Bush had done nothing. Turn on SportsCenter and see that he has 250 all purpose yards, and I nearly fell out of my chair. I'll go 0-2 next week though, it's the way my team is...

I emailed guru and his suggestion was to leave it as just a zero for that slot, considering he had a DEF on the bench that scored points. Had his bench DEF scored negative then I would have inserted them. If he had no bench DEF, then I would have given him a zero for the whole week.

GUH!!! So many bad choices this week. Let's count them...
1. Thinking a banged up Reggie Bush would do better than a slumping McGahee. Cost me 12.2 points
2. Dominik Hixon/Andre Davis over Josh Cribbs. I though San Fran would allow more passing yards. Cost me 10.7 points.
3. Starting Justin Smith over Terrell Suggs. Again I thought San Fran would allow more passing yards. I thought the Giants would throw the ball and allow Smith to get to Eli at least once. Cost me 16.5 points.
I'm going to lose one game by tenths of a point so any one of those will cost me the win and if I make all the right choices then I win both games since I would have score 34.9 more points... :(

Yeah Kyle, Portis has had a solid year. It kind of bugs me, because I had him targetted as my realistic pick at #7. I also had Brady and any of the top 5 RBs in mind, in case they fell. Ended up with S. Jackson, who's been missing time, and Portis would be a pretty nice upgrade over him. But I can't really complain, since I also could have ended up with the Brady disaster.
And Slizz, no problem. I think I may reconsider my offer anyways, after this weekend's games.

Not sure why, but Green Bay hasn't been credited for a fumbled returned for a TD (no points for fumble or TD). I saw it on the highlights but noticed it wasn't there on the scoring. It's in the NFL Gamebook as well, which is official.

Sitting in 6th place in the league and 7th in points is an uneasy feeling, but at least right now I have the ability to control my own playoff fate. If I make it into the tourney though it will not be on the back of my stellar WRs. My #2 and #3 WR have been a whos-who of underachievers and backup scrubs. Yeah, I hear ya. I never have much luck here myself. The one year I played in the main league I just didn't have a good year. Didn't help that Javon Walker, my 3rd round pick, played 1 game that season. The following year I took Portis in the first round, and he started 7 games. The year after that (last year) I took Maroney in the 1st round, who turned out to be a big bust on top of missing 3 games. I also took Walker again in the 3rd (a whole 5 games started) and Ladell Betts in the 4th thinking Portis would be injury plagued. Now this year S. Jackson has started a whole 6 games.
Despite my setbacks this year, I can say this is the strongest team I've fielded the last 3 years and am confident going into the playoffs. As long as I don't have any key injuries, I think I have a good shot at making the championship game.
Even my keeper league team, which was by far the worst last year, is still in the playoff hunt. It's nice to be able to enjoy fantasy football a little more than I have the past few years.

Yah, unless I win this week in the Auction League I am done (which sucks because my team is just now getting healthy, and I feel I could make some noise in the playoffs) and my friends league is inexplicably in 2nd place (my top 4 draft picks missed at least 2 game, and Mewelde Moore has carried my team). Also, going to paste this from one of TD's posts for another RIFC league:
The Championship bracket will not be reseeded each round. Single elimination.
For the Consolation bracket, the losing team with the best score in round 1 will advance, along with the three winners. Matchups will shift only if necessary to prevent a duplicate pairing in the second week.
Players at the primary skill positions (QB, RB, WR) and team defenses may not be added for any reason during the playoffs. Free agents at these positions will be locked out after the final regular season game. You may drop a player at one of these positions, but once dropped, that player cannot be added later.
Players at the other positions (TE, PK, IDP) may be added or dropped according to normal regular season guidelines, subject to playoff claiming priorities, if applicable.
If a playoff game ends in a tie score, the team with the better seed shall advance.
Teams which are not still active in the Championship playoffs may not make any transactions - adds or drops - even if they are still competing in the Consolation bracket.
All add/drop restrictions musty be administered manually, so please pay attention!
Claims and waivers will operate normally for teams eligible to make moves. Priorities will initally be reset based on playoff seed, with the top seed getting the top priority. Thereafter, throughout the playoffs, priorities will again adjust only when a claim is awarded.

Why did Richard Seymour get dropped. I picked him up earlier this week and when I went to check my roster this morning he was dropped yesterday? Did the commish do this for me?
I was under the impression that IDP's can be added and dropped during the playoffs.

I did that by accident Jaydog. I'll fix it for you. Sorry

2 minor things: Apparently I set up the consolation bracket differently than RIFC rules. We have 6 teams so I gave a bye to the top two. Its supposed to be 3 games with the all 3 winners and the highest scoring loser all advancing. I'll try to get that fixed prior to the start of games today but I don't have much time. Second, Dreamin's team (miss state), keeps adding and dropping players despite the rule against it and despite my attempts to put things back. I'll move the players back asap but I'm not sure I will have that done prior to opening kickoff. If this has any effect on your roster, please email me right away so we have some record of it. I don think it will effect anyone and I'll have it worked out before claims get processed this week. Sorry for the mistakes.

GG Bonka...I could never get that RB thing right :/
Talk about getting lucky with Gates putting up 0 and still getting a "W"!

Yeah, after Williams ran his 2nd TD in I said I sure was lucky you didn't play the right RBs. Gates and Ward combined for .2 points. The Cardinal's D stepped up huge.
All but 1 of the top 4 seeds got knocked off.

Yea...it was a problem of mine all season. I would've thought Lynch vs the Dolphins and I'm surprised how little Hightower did vs that crappy STL defense!
Even so...you gotta give Gates at least 10-15 points b/c for him not to get a catch is an anomaly. Ward? not so much.
Hines is either really awesome, or really crappy...as i'm sure you've experienced all year. There is no in between.
Good luck in the semi's.

Good game, vampireslayer. You put up a pretty awesome week to beat me. I was hoping for Portis to do something special for me, but that wasn't going to happen. I think I get to be called back up to AAA though so the season wasn't a complete failure. Now last year was a COMPLETE failure...

Thanks Kyle...I was worried heading into the Monday game but must admit that I was enjoying all the yards and points Carolina was running up.
why don't we playoff for positions 5 to 8th. when i'm questioned next year in what place i finished in AA, whats my answer?

Well, looks the championship is all but over. I'd like to thank all of my guys for showing up during the biggest week. Wasn't really expecting this kind of scoring output. Hopefully the 2nd time around in the main league goes a little better.

your offensive power was wayyyyyyyyyyy too much...especially combined with the game when the pittsburgh defense does not show up -
