Guru saved the RIFC league Fanball rules page in pdf format. If you have time, please compare it to our rules and let me know if I made any mistakes.

A little too late to redo the draft.

I think you were in a league with me a two years ago and you selected Shaun Alexander as a top 3 selection, and he ended up injured most of the season.

Not much luck with 1st round picks.

Yes....two seasons ago it was Alexander.

Next season I am traing my first pick for future draft picks.

According to ESPN, the Ravens @ Houston might not be played this Monday night. Here is the current
newsflash.

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3585348

It will only affect you if you have Baltimore or Houston players in your line up. The decision could be made
this afternoon -- Look for it.

Given the number of Texans on my team, the game getting moved to later in the season really hurts me this week.

As a result, I'm looking to trade a QB or RB for help at WR or IDP. Anybody want Hasselbeck for a #3 WR or respectable IDP? If you have no interest in Hasselbeck, I would trade Cassel as well. Beyond the QBs, any non-LDT RB is on the block, though I would want a #2 receiver or so for one of those.

Any and all offers are encouraged; if there is at least one semi-decent offer on the table by tomorrow morning, I will take it.

Hope to hear from you soon!

Given the late postponement of the Balt./Hous. game, I will waive the following rule if a trade involves a Baltimore or Houston player, and approve it very quickly if the trade looks reasonable to me.

From our custom rules:

After the draft, trades will be subject to a review period. For the first 24 hours following a trade, managers may protest a trade by posting a message at the RotoGuru forum, or by sending an email to the Commissioner. If at least 3 managers protest a trade within 24 hours of its announcement, then all managers will be polled within the next 24 hours. If seven or more managers vote to veto a trade, then it will not be approved. If a proposed trade is announced less than 24 hours before the earliest freeze for any player involved, then the entire trade will not be processed until the following week.

If a trade does not receive at least 3 protests, then it will be effective 24 hours after it is announced. If a trade receives at least 3 protests but the protests are not upheld in a full league vote, then the trade will be processed 48 hours after it is announced.

I need 21 points from McNabb, Cole and Zach Thomas tonight to overtake Beezer-
I think the odds are slightly in my favor to do it but not substantially so-
Anyone else have a thought on the proposition?

I think you'll get that many from those 3. As long as Dallas wins, I'm ok with that.

If I lose by 6 to Cliff because Westbrook gets a TD that should have been Jackson's, I'm putting a contract out on that rookie showboat.

The key is to have McNabb, Westbrook, Jackson and Smith (and Akers) -- then it won't matter!!!

Gah, unless Eli has a good game tonight I'm going to go 1-1. I could have gone 2-0 if I had started Rivers instead. Oh well, here's to Eli lighting it up!

This place is dead. That's one thing about Fanball that I don't like is that you can't really communicate easily with people in the league. 7 of the 8 teams seem to be set in stone as far as I can tell. Next week just a matter of setting up the seeding.

From Frick -- posted in the AAA#1 thread

I'm assuming the commish will set up the league 2 play-offs? It appears to be a train wreck after the top
3.
In
1. BMD (23-3) 3883.40
2. Wiggs (18-8) 3671.20
3. Frick (16-10 3460.64
4. Culdeus (13-3) 3581.60
5. twilson (13-3) 3252.64
6. Goatlocker (13-3) 3179.12
7. Pancho Villa (10-16) 3453.36
8. TD Dragons (10-16) 3215.92

Spots 7-8 are based on total points for. So Valyrie and Beezer are both out since we had a 5-way tie for
spots 4-6 and the 2nd tie breaker is only for a 2way tie. The 3rd tie breaker is total points for.

Doug misses the play-offs by 5.6 points, so if there are scoring adjustments please speak up! Taxman
misses by 8.32 so again, speak up if there are scoring adjustments.

If someone wants to double check me I wouldn't be offended. I think I read the rules correctly, but I could
be wrong.

The Championship bracket will not be reseeded each round. Single elimination.

For the Consolation bracket, the losing team with the best score in round 1 will advance, along with
the three winners. Matchups will shift only if necessary to prevent a duplicate pairing in the second
week.

Players at the primary skill positions (QB, RB, WR) and team defenses may not be added for any reason
during the playoffs. Free agents at these positions will be locked out after the final regular season
game. You may drop a player at one of these positions, but once dropped, that player cannot be
added later.

Players at the other positions (TE, PK, IDP) may be added or dropped according to normal regular
season guidelines, subject to playoff claiming priorities, if applicable.

If a playoff game ends in a tie score, the team with the better seed shall advance.

Teams which are not still active in the Championship playoffs may not make any transactions -
adds or drops - even if they are still competing in the Consolation bracket.

All add/drop restrictions musty be administered manually, so please pay attention!

Claims and waivers will operate normally for teams eligible to make moves. Priorities will initally be
reset based on playoff seed, with the top seed getting the top priority. Thereafter, throughout the
playoffs, priorities will again adjust only when a claim is awarded.

I am going to manually reverse wiggs pickup of QB M. Schuab. Apparently wiggs was not aware of this rule stated in post 27.

Players at the primary skill positions (QB, RB, WR) and team defenses may not be added for any reason during the playoffs. Free agents at these positions will be locked out after the final regular season game. You may drop a player at one of these positions, but once dropped, that player cannot be added later.

Please read the rules in post 27 before picking up any players.

I reversed wiggs pickup of Schuab. I also moved wiggs back up to 2nd on the Claims/Waiver priority list.

damn, had some error last night when picking up ogounelyelee tried to submit the lineup. I'm trying to do this on a hotel wifi and it's super slow and hangs up a lot on things like that. I just came back to print out final rosters for today and he isn't started. So I'm going without a DL/DE unless he's manually added for me. Maybe it won't matter.

It is going to be close in the match-up between GoatLocker and myself.

I'd like to applaud my move of picking up Polamalu, to bad I didn't start him. Sadly, it looks like that might be a deciding factor in our match.

Good Luck Goatlocker, it gives me a reason to watch the game tonight.
