If you aren't open to "outsiders" that's cool, and I'll stick to the RIFC leagues.

      Tue, Aug 11, 2009, 08:56 		Here are the rules as used from last year. Not sure what changes were discussed for this year, but I know the .5 for catches was to be changed to either 1 point for each catch or 1 point for every 2 catches. Glanced through it and think it is up to date:

The league rules had an overriding motto to keep it simple. We draft only 10 roster spots - which is still decent depth considering there are 18 teams - and from the 10 you will start 1 QB, 1 RB, 1 WR/TE, 1 K and 3 flex-RB/WR/TE each week.

Basically we look at your team after the week is over and see what would have been your best lineup and that's the points you get. So if your team is deep and all 10 players are playing then you have a better chance to post a good score. If you have 7 guys who start for their NFL team and 3 who are backups the you need your stars to play better every week to hang around. If you can draft 10 solid consistent players then you should go far. If you draft guys like the Corey Dillon of old who would get 35 points 1 week then 3 points, then 29, then 4 then you can see that on his bad weeks you could be hurting.

The weekly top scoring owner each week will gain immunity for the next week but it will only last through NFL season 15. Week 16 and 17 their will be no immunity and teams will face off for two weeks with the highest combined score the winner and 2nd highest gets second.

Tie breakers for any given week are TOTAL TD's scored by your team (whole roster), then total TD's scored by your lineup (your actually lineup) then rushing TD's, recieving TDs and finally passing TD's. It will probably never even get to a tiebreaker but you never know.

And no transactions after the draft, you get what you draft to last you all 17 weeks! You can trade during the draft but the max # of players you can have is 10. All trades must be for even number players or picks ie 1 for 1, 2 for 2, 3 for 3 etc.

Passing Yards 300-999 3
Rushing Yards 10-999 1 point for every 10
Rushing Yards 100-999 3

Rules for QB, RB, WR, TE, PK Event Range (Low-High) Points
Number of Passing TDs 1-99 6 points each
Pass Interceptions Thrown 1-99 -2 points each
Passing 2 Pointers 1-99 2 points each
Number of Rushing TDs 1-99 6 points each
Rushing 2 Pointers 1-99 2 points each
Number of Receiving TDs 1-99 6 points each
Receiving 2 Pointers 1-99 2 points each
Number of Field Goals Made 1-99 3 points each
Extra Points 1-99 1 point each
Fumbles Lost (to Opponent) 1-99 -2 points each

Rules for RB, WR Event Range (Low-High) Points
Rushing Yards 10-999 1 point for every 10
Rushing Yards 100-999 3
Receiving Yards 10-999 1 point for every 10
Receiving Yards 100-999 3
Receptions 1-99 0.5 points each

Rules for TE Event Range (Low-High) Points
Rushing Yards 10-999 1 point for every 10
Rushing Yards 100-999 3
Receiving Yards 10-999 1 point for every 10
Receiving Yards 75-999 3
Receptions 1-99 1.0 point each

TE's are treated as Wr's in this league just so you know.

Draft
The draft is serpentine with a twist. As usual we will roll them bones. All 18 owners will roll and I will verify all rolls, my roll will be verified by Trash/Clyde. We will run two leagues simultaneously which also means two drafts simultaneously. This is the idea, we sort out from the bone rolls who picks 1st through 18 (100 is the best, 1 is the lowest) and more bone rolling instructions will come. Owner #1 will pick what draft position he wants in draft #1. Owner #2 will pick his slot and so forth and down to owner #18. In mirror league the owner with #18 will select what draft pick he wants first in draft #2, owner #17 will pick next and so forth down to owner #1. Does that make sense? I'll clarify in another post if it appears to be too complicated, which it is not.

2009 payouts are as follows ($50 entry fee)
Survivor in each league gets $210
Runner up in each league gets $75
Highest total score for all 17 weeks gets $50 in each league.
Owner who survives the most weeks combined between two leagues gets $180.
Score Keepers get a $25 discount

I think it took it's toll on the Gurupies, although from what I see they are still pretty active in the league.

Cant remember how many flex points you start off with for free. Or refer friends like you for flex points;) IF you want to slow build your player then you dont have to worry about anything at all money wise, and can still be pretty good in the lower leagues. I pay cause I have 8 players and a crappy rep to uphold.

NOW KEEP YOUR MOUTH SHUT, you are not making any friends here with your nonsense.

I was the same way. I wanted to have the best of the best players, and I must say my builds were pretty good, especially my ability to make killer left tackles.

It's a lot of fun as I said, and I recommend it to anyone if they want.

Im joe, Im from NJ, joined the army, got out of the army. Married, divorced. Met JHHH in Kosovo who tricked me into joining this league. I tricked Monkey man into joining;) I Left Kosovo, moved to florida. Lost all my money, joined the AF. In texas now. This league use to bring out the arsehole in me (things change), but Im really a nice guy in the real world. Wouldnt harm a crab on Monkey Mans balls in real life....

In one league the highest number will choose first and in the other the lowest number will choose first. So, if you have the highest or lowest number, you will pick draft position first in one league and you'll get the whatever is left in the other.

If there's a website that can accomodate an 18 team draft that works better for you (and is free), let me know and we'll go with it. Otherwise, it's back to the same one.

Instead of randomly determining draft position, we decided to let owners have a say in where they draft. So, if you end up with the lowest number, you'll select where you want to draft: 1-18. Then in the other league, you'll get whatever is left over - probably one of the last 3 positions.

We have two leagues, mainly because it would suck to get kicked out in the first week. This way, you have a second chance. The other big reason is you get to draft from two different positions.

Also, not sure how we're doing the draft, as I've seen it done on here, but wouldn't Kafenatid work just as well for doing the draft since we'd be able to set up queues and designated pickers? It seems to me that would be the best way to do it. (I believe someone asked for advice on where we should draft... If not disregard this post)

      Wed, Aug 26, 2009, 20:52 		Scotty, now that I'm moving out of the desert, I'm looking to buy new irons. My Ping S59s are over 5 years old now and they have been beaten up pretty good. I have always had Pings and I'm thinking about getting either the I10s or Rapture. I may take a look at the AP2s. What's the handicap at? I'm at a 7, but will be playing a lot of golf over the next couple of weeks, so maybe I can drop it down a stroke or two.

      Wed, Aug 26, 2009, 23:15 		I'd reccomend going to Edwin Watts or the like and getting fitted. I've had Ping Eye 2's since 1994 and didn't think I could ever change but it was time and I looked at all of the new Ping's and just didn't like the look. No established handicap at the moment but I usually post scores in high 70's to low 80's. I'm probably a legit 8.
