Are we using this for Draft Rationale as well?

FYI - I am out of pocket on the weekends, so I will try and utilize a queue.

I'm not going to have the flexibility I've had in the past.
Will check when I can, but might be better to use others.
Of course, if I am listed and on, will make the pick.
Just won't be able to verify anything on the forum from work anymore.

I set up the 2 people before me and the 2 people after as DPs, they and the commish can pick when my Q is set up and I don't say "don't use my q for round ___"

Isn't that what the RIFC runs with? I see no problem with running the same as RIFC, unless we have a bunch of west coasters in the league.

I looked it up and RIFC uses a 1am-7am EDT clock stoppage, so maybe we should run with that instead... It's only 2 hours, but over the course of a 2 week draft that's a full day.

My suggestion is 3 am to 9 am eastern time.
That is midnight to 6 am pacific time.
A late close for the east and an early start for the west- equally inconvenient for both coasts.
No one on either coast can be timed out before 9 am.

I'm with you on Ocho...my heart wanted me to take him, but he just wasn't a "Value" pick at 3.03 :/ He's worth it for his "tweets" alone and I hope to get him in at least one of my leagues!

Based on the first four rounds, the season I am most interested in following is Frick's. Rarely do I see any owner neglect the RB position in the first two rounds. I am positive Frick had in mind, pre-draft, that he was going to take Sproles & DMC in rounds 3 & 4 regardless. While its a total crapshoot, Sproles will net him some points considering he is KR/PR and SD's franchise player while DMC is supposedly getting a expanded role. At 4.4 YPC in Oakland with a bum toe, he will only get better.

What Frick did do was lockup the best WR in the game (sorry Fitz owners, but Fitz' fantasy glory came without Boldin in the lineup and playoffs included a banged up Boldin...he'll still dominate but won't give you AJ #'s) and one of the best fantasy QB's in Brees.

Guys, if your spot in the rationale thread already has a placeholder, please post your rationale here, instead of in the rationale thread. Otherwise, the thread gets out of order and people stop posting. A moderator will move your post over to the correct spot in the thread.

3.07 – Dwayne Bowe, WR, KC

I had just talked myself into picking Boldin when he went 2 picks ahead of me. Since I went RB/WR to start, I had flexibility to go anywhere here. Felt like the HUGE QB run meant absolutely no need to get a QB, and I’ve been burned when I’ve gone too high with TE in the past. I pawed through the RB pile and saw a bunch of markdowns and damaged goods, so I’ll wait for a bigger discount next round.

WRs looked good, and I went back and forth between Ochocinco and Bowe. I ultimately decided to go for the bigger upside with the younger player. With Gonzalez out of KC, all those passes that used to head his way have to go somewhere. It’s hard to see him doing much worse than his being the 11th WR off the board if he stays healthy, so for a WR2 that fills the bill perfectly.

Good analysis Beezer! I think you'll enjoy what looks to be 80-85 receptions, 1200 yards, and 10 TDs from Mr. Bowe!

1.03 - Matt Forte, RB, CHI

When the lottery was ran and I found out that I had the 8th overall selection for draft position, I was slightly disappointed as I didn't think the opportunity to pick in the top 3 would present itself to me. Of course, picking in the top 7 is where you want to be if you're going to get a elite RB (AP, MJD, Forte, Jackson, LT, Turner, D'Angelo). Truth be told, picking 7th is the best spot as you get the leftovers of the above, and get first pickings on the snake for a top WR or solid backup RB.

Anyhow, this was a total homer pick. There aren't many times when you can get an elite player in fantasy football on the Bears, and Forte gives me just that. I can only hope that he lives up to his lofty projections and doesn't fall into the sophomore slump that most Bears backs are accustomed to (Salaam, Enis, Thomas, etc.)

Sorry, I should have posted that my q was good for round 5 last night. I need some time to decide what I'm going to do in round 6, so if Valkyrie is picking as we speak then I'll probably be about 1/2 hour. If he waits any longer I'll probably be able to make my pick as soon as he does.

Here's some Rationales I missed yesterday. I try to type them up as I make the pick so I have all the way to the 6th round done.

2.03 Clinton Portis, RB, WAS
I needed a RB, I could go through the year without a RB in the top 2 picks. Portis has averaged 1300 yards and 10 TDs the past 2 years, and he has never been a big injury guy. As I say this he's probably tearing ever ligament in both knees. Since RIFC started using Kafenatid I've had Portis 2 out of the 3 years. Does it coincide with me making the playoffs? Maybe, or maybe it's just good luck. Portis is my horse, and until they turn him into glue, I'll keep betting on him.

3.12 Knowshon Moreno, RB, DEN
If he wasn't hurt, I feel he may have been a second round pick. I'm not going to let a tweak scare me away from the potential this guy has shown. He has soft hands, and is a pretty powerful back. Those are two things that usually translate well into the NFL. With (undrafted player) at QB this year, I feel there will be a lot more check downs and more running than Josh McDaniels will like. I could see 1200 rushing 200 receiving and 9 or 10 TDs making him one of the better backs in the league. If he hits 1000 yards I'll be happy with him as my #2 RB. Along the lines of Moss, I've never drafted a rookie RB so high in the draft before.

3.09 Wes Welker, WR, NE

I had never seen a QB run in the third round of a draft until this year. From my 2nd pick, 12 of the next 16 picks were either WR or QB. That didn't leave me with much of value at 3rd, and I didn't want to go 3 RB's. I thought about COC or Marshall but there was too much risk there, so I went with the less risky (and least flashy) pick I could think of, and that is Wes Welker. Possesion receiver extarordinaire who can also get you a few points in the return game.

Nerf, I have Beason in my friends league and I'm not worried about him. From Rotowire: "Unless the diagnosis changes, Beason should have a chance of playing in the season opener against the Eagles."

Just for funsies I decided to see how much time has been taken by each player in the league. I like stats, it's a little hobby of mine... This is through the 5th round.

Manager Time (D:HH:MM) Time (Minutes)
Kyle321N 0:00:49 49 min
The Beezer 0:01:04 64 min
Tree 0:01:09 69 min

valkyrie 0:05:11 311 min
wolfer 0:05:16 316 min
jaysherby 0:06:06 366 min
jaydoghall 0:08:58 538 min
vampireweekend 0:09:07 547 min

A little analysis: I've only picked 2 of my own players, the rest were queued selections, hence my super short time. Tree is on the end of the draft, so he's getting 1/2 the amount of time (same for Frick). Wolfer timed out but still hasn't use much clock for his other 4 picks (66 minutes) had he not timed out I'm guessing he'd be up with myself, The Beezer, and Tree. Vampireweekend has 2 picks under 30 minutes and 2 picks over 3 hours. Jaydoghall has yet to make a pick under half an hour. Them being back to back gives a little logjam, but neither has timed out. Queues are your friends buddies! :)

I may do this at the halfway point and the end of the draft. Expect my time to go up a little as I'm going on vacation this weekend an will only be able to set my queues at morning and night. Maybe that will keep it down since they'll all be queued selections?

shoot. i didn't need your chart to tell me who takes the longest between picks. i could have told you the last three listed were taking the longest - and unfortunately, all three are nearly picking consecutively, so it just makes it seem all the longer.

i was in another draft that just did 170 picks in 4 days. a draft shouldn't take much longer than that.

I like our UFC draft, just long enough to be a long draft, but not short enough to do it all in one night.

I might start lobbying for that type of draft in my other leagues. 4-5 days is a perfect amount of time for a draft.

Hey, I'd like to point out that of my 113 minutes 82 of them were last night after midnight. ;)

I will use queues more in the future, but my plans were pretty fluid for few rounds and non conducive to queues when you make back-to-back picks and don't pick again for 26 picks.

Will anyone be available to take queues for tomorrow morning? I'm going to be getting my wisdom teeth removed (yeah).

Draft Rationales:

1.01 Adrian Peterson, RB, MIN

This was almost a no-brainer for me, but I'll admit to nearly wavering and selecting MJD, who i really like.

AP is the reason i went with the #1 pick. Simply put, he's already the best running back in the league, and if he can start catching some passes, the sky's the limit.

Like Frick- I think almost all of my time is early morning PDT time before 8 am although I guess I had some time waiting on Kyle yesterday-
What with the early QB run and RB's left on the board this has been a very different draft making a lot of queueing very hard esp. when you are at the end of the snake with a double pick and won't see a pick again for 24 turns.

4.08 – Derrick Ward, RB, TB

I had pretty much decided to take Ochocinco at this slot until he went 2 picks ahead of me (definitely a theme in these leagues!) so I had to re-evaluate at that time. Looking behind me, it looks like a lot of WRs are set to go off the board, along with maybe a couple of RBs.

So why the RB pick? My next tier at RB was only a couple deep, while my next WR tier is pretty deep – likely until round 6. My other thought was to grab Witten since no TEs had gone off yet but the RB scarcity trumps everything. Ward was a battering ram in NY last season and I’m in agreement with those who say the Bucs didn’t sign him to that contract to sit on the bench behind the incumbent. I’m hoping this pick works out as well as my 4th round pick of Frank Gore did in 2006 when I won the RIFC (just had to work that in here somewhere).

The rationales are supposed to be in the other thread and made at the time you make your pick with a 2 round delay. The majority of people aren't writing them, I propose we just scrap it, it isn't worth the hassle for the few of us who are doing it. If you want to make one, include it here.

I'm hoping that it makes it back to me before tomorrow morning, but I don't see it happening. So is any one willing to be a DP for me?

5.07 – Antonio Gates, TE, SD

Frankly, this is the first league I’ve ever drafted in that started taking TEs too late. Usually you have the top guy or 2 off in round 3, and the rest of the top 6 or 7 are already gone by now. I didn’t even look at other options with my projected #1 TE on the board. He looked healthy in his last game and this is the easiest pick I’ve made in a long time.

3.11 Matt Ryan, QB, Atlanta

I wanted to go with any quarterback in this spot. I went with Ryan based on what he did as a rookie. Also it does not help that he has another weapon to throw to this year. He could go into the second group of fantasy qb's this year.

4.03 Thomas Jones, RB, NYJ

I wanted to pick a RB2 at this spot all along. I went with Jones because of the other ones that I had targeted in this spot had less of an upside than he does. My other choices in this spot were Lynch, who is suspended, and Ward, who is going to Tampa.

to me, he was the best WR on the board, and i did not want to get stuck without a solid #1WR before the draft turned back around, and it was again 25+ picks until mine.

There is a lack of WR1s, so i felt the need to get one.

3.01 Tony Romo QB DAL
This was a tough call, and this i the pick i feel will make or break this league for me. I was torn between a QB1 and an RB2, and quite frankly, i didn't like the RBs left on the board at this slot.

By the same token, i didn't want to have to choose between Matt Ryan and Matt Schaub to be my main guy under center, so i wrestled between Romo and Rodgers. I went with Romo because I had already drafted Jennings, and I felt that if one of Jennings/Rodgers struggled, they both would, and i didn't want that either.

4.14 DeSean Jackson WR PHI
Same dilemma i faced before. I simply don't like the running backs that were left on the board. And with this league using 2 RBs but four receivers (including the TE and WR/TE flex), i felt that receivers would be even more scarce.

I'm going to lose a lot of points with my RB2 slot, but i feel i'll more than make up for it with AP and the 3 WRs i have drafted.

5.01 Lee Evans WR BUF

2.07 Ronnie Brown, RB, MIA
I'm actually looking at a pretty good season from him.
This was a real tough pick, but knew I had to take an RB.
Was torn between Brown and another WR, but just couldn't see going WR/WR.
Only time will tell.
Looking for 1000+ yards and 12 TDs.
Also 30+ passes for 300+ yards.

3.08 Kevin Smith, RB, DET
Really think he showed more in the second half of last season of what to expect.
Hoping for 8-10 TDs and 1100-1200 yards.
A couple of wins could sure help his numbers out a lot also.
Seems like a weird draft for me so far, but we shall see.

4.07 Marshawn Lynch, RB, BUF
My riskiest pick so far, but we will just have to see.
Back to my old ways and stacking up the RBs.
Should have known the first pick was too good to hold up.
Sure seems more like feast or famine for right now.

5.08 Antonio Bryant, WR, TB
Actually felt real good about this pick at this point in the draft.
Not sure he will quite get to the numbers he did last year, but feel he can get pretty dang close.
So, only time will tell once again.

2.12 – Peyton Manning, QB, IND - I always try and maximize value on each pick I have regardless of draft. My blueprint in most drafts is to take RB’s in the first two rounds. To take Peyton Manning here is definitely an outlier based on my draft history. But to get a guy like Manning this late in a 14 team draft presented tremendous value for me. Like Tree mentioned above, I didn’t see any runningbacks distinguishing themselves to me at that point in the draft and I get Fantasy Footballs’ safest play.

Had Pierre Thomas been there, I likely would have went with him 

3.03 – Marques Colston, WR, NO - After I went with Manning, I had a short queue of Colston, Boldin, & Jennings (much to my chagrin). Fortunately, I got my first choice of the remaining WR’s. You really couldn’t go wrong with any of the three aforementioned above b/c they are all locks for 1100+ (barring injuries) and 8+ TD’s a piece.

The kicker - Colston had 22 catches for 306 yards and four touchdowns in his final three games, a sign that he was back to his regular role as the Saints’ top possession target.

4.12 – Vincent Jackson, WR, SD - I am convinced that Philip Rivers is going to be a MVP contender and will only improve on last years #’s, which is saying a lot. If you look down the stretch at when San Diego was making that playoff run, Jackson was the beneficiary of at least 1 Rivers TD pass per game. Do I expect a TD every game? No. But I do expect plenty of 4 receptions, 70 yards plus and a TD type games. Realistic expectation: 70 receptions, 1000-1100 yards, 10 TD’s.

Food for thought for your other drafts:

Of the 116 guys in NFL history who have averaged more than 18 yards a catch in a season, Jackson compares most-favorably to Derrick Alexander (Chiefs). He spent the twilight of his career as a second fiddle to an elite TE (Tony Gonzalez), and in 2000 he produced a season of 78 catches, 1391 yards, and 10 TD’s. I can only hope that Jackson mirrors this as he will have a MVP caliber QB at the helm.

5.03 – Felix Jones, RB, Dallas – This about sums up my rationale: Felix Jones - Roto Arcade

As an added bonus, Jones is also Dallas’ kick returner. If he can produce a season like Yahoo! Projects, combined with his KR goodness, you’re looking at a guy who will generate value comparable to a 2nd round pick.

4.06 Chad Johnson, WR CIN

I almost took OC in the third round but I felt the risk was too great there. He had such a poor season last year with poor QB play. If his QB is healthy again he should be back to his normal self, or at east that's the thought. 1200 yards and 7 TD in the 4th round would be great.

5.09 Reggie Bush, RB, NO

I wasn't sure where to go with this pick and after perusing the list of available players I was shocked to still see Bush sitting there. I have never drafted a 3rd RB this early but considering how explosive Bush can be, I had to take him here. He could easily put up 1500 total yards between runnning, receiving and returns, so I felt it was a no-brainer pick.

6.06 Jon Beason, LB, CAR

Lack of strong IDP is what got me in AAA this year, so I was not going to neglect it again. Unfortunately the man I picked is currently injured, and I did not think to check before I drafted him. If he can get healthy in time for the regular season, he is going to put up alot of tackles, and that is all it takes to score well at IDP.

despite the faux pas in drafting Beason that early, your team is definitely shaping up to be one of the better ones.

Welker, Ocho, & Hines Ward should all top 1000 yards and you have some back flexibility.

I think it was a great pick, I was thinking about taking him, but before I realized he was already gone. I had marked you down as taking a different player, oops. I don't think the injury is anything that will slow him down once the season starts. He should put up good numbers.

6.08 – Devin Hester, WR, CHI

I was strongly considering taking Ruud if he made it this far, but Frick took care of that. No one else on D excited me, TE is fixed, every team behind me has a QB so no need to draft that until next round at the earliest, and the RB pool is deep enough that I don’t see value picking there until probably round 8. By process of elimination, WR is the pick.

I went back and forth between Hester and Santana Moss and decided on Hester because his bye week doesn’t duplicate any other receivers, and I think he has the most upside here with Cutler in town and Forte’s emergence at RB. He’ll be inconsistent but as a WR3 he could decide some games on his own this season (and as culdeus always says, this is really a points league more than it is a H2H league).

6.12 – Leon Washington, RB, NYJ - In Football 101, Leon Washington scored the same amount of total points as Steve Smith (Carolina) last year (230). This is, in large part, due to his dominance on special teams. As we all know, Leon is one of the best, if not the best, return men and since he’s getting taken off punt return duty, one can only anticipate that he will be getting more touches on offense. Given the success he’s had the past few years in leagues that reward KR/PR, I figure this is a low-risk investment to shore up my backfield.

Football outsiders sums it up best: “Leon Washington is Reggie Bush without the oversized contract and the racy GQ photo spreads with Kim Kardashian.”

7.03 – Percy Harvin, WR, MIN - I admit it, this pick was a total reach, but I didn’t want to chance him not coming back to me in the 8th round. Could I have played it safe and went with Torry Holt? Yes. But after reading countless articles on how good he has looked in training camp and the expected impact he is slated to have, I couldn’t pass it up! Given the fact he will be returning kicks and that he is the teams #2 option, I figure why not?

Rotoworld sums it up best: “The easy choice as the rookie with biggest impact, Harvin's playmaking talent is undeniable. The only questions revolved around his offensive role and how often Brad Childress and Darrell Bevell were willing to put the ball in his hands. The answers: Harvin will start immediately, playing in both the slot and the backfield. Chilly has made it clear that the rookie will be force-fed the ball on a weekly basis as the team's second-most important offensive weapon. It's fair to expect 45-50 catches and at least many rushing attempts while Harvin establishes himself as a weekly option for fantasy leaguers.”

5.11 Donnie Avery, WR, Rams

I went with Avery because of his season last year. He had the second most catches with the Rams. He should get more this year, since he is now the primary weapon with Torry Holt in Jacksonville. The only drawback to this pick is the stress fracture that may linger.

6.04 Tony Gonzalez, TE Atl

I wanted to adress the only position that I have yet to address here. Tony should have a much bigger season than last, since he will not be the focus of opposing defenses like he was last year in KC.

7.12 Julius Jones, RB, SEA
He was the best RB left on the board, and one of the highest ranked players on my list. I was surprised that a potential 1000 yard back was on the board, and even though he won't get many TDs, he'll get the ball a lot. He'll be a great bye week fill in until I saw he has the same bye as Knowshon, but if either of my backs go down for a little while, then I'll have a solid backup to stand in for them.

8.03 Greg Olsen, TE, CHI
I love Olsen's potential with Cutler at the helm. I'm a big fan of pairing my QB with their #1 receiver and Olsen is just that. He'll have a great opportunity to get redzone passes, since the Bears don't have a go to WR and he could have a Tony Gonzalez like season. 800 yards and 6 TDs are my expectations, but my dream is 1000 yards and 10 TDs.

9.12 Donald Driver, WR, GNB
He's the #2 WR in GB, but really I see him as 1B. They could very well put up nearly identical numbers and I could see 900-1000 yards. 6 or 7 TDs are my expectation, but who knows since Grant really doesn't have the ability to put the ball in the endzone.

1.02 MJD
Well, with AP being took on first pick it came down to Turner / MJD. I think both will have huge years, but with Taylor gone in Jax might be time for MJD to blow up and shine. Curious though if the RIFC jinx will continue being in the 1 or 2 spot of picking. Going to try one more year!

2.13 Ryan Grant
First two rounds RB get sucked up so quick so I felt I needed to grab another one. Tree having two back to back picks wasn't sure what he would go after. Grant on a good offensive team and should put some solid numbers up.

3.02 Aaron Rodgers
Was so happy that Tree picked Romo. I've dealt with Romo and something always seems to distract him from putting big numbers. Rodgers is on fire in pre-season, so lets hope it continues throughout the year.

4.13 Braylon Edwards
I'm banking on a good solid year of the return of Dereck Anderson. Ok even if Quinn ends up starter, at least he has some time under his belt now to do some damage. Still no running game in Cleveland should equal a lot of passing.

5.02 Anthony Gonzales
Perhaps I'm missing something, but I keep seeing this guy get overlooked in every draft. Lets be honest, he is still being passed to from one of the greatest if not the greatest QB's ever. I think it is a good choice.

6.13 James Harrison
At some point, you gotta get some IDP's on your team and why not shoot for the best. I like grabbing some of the high end IDP's when I can.

7.02 Santana Moss
Who knows which WR he will be, but not many options down in Skins country other then him. Good solid #3 for me.

8.13 Earnest Graham
Eh, not many options left on the board at this point that might have some playing time this year. RIBC is going to suck. Lets hope the Grant and MJD stay healthy and I only have to use him on bye weeks.

9.02 Adrian Wilson
See above about IDP's. He is a tackling machine usually. Hopefully this year he stays healthy, I've had him in the past and injuries killed me occasionally.

10.13 Jared Allen
Like those good IDPs as stated before :)

11.02 Trent Edwards
Started getting a bit worried here about relying on just one QB for the whole year. Trent has a couple fine WR's now to throw to, Evans and T.O. Lets all hope that TO doesn't ruin another lockeroom of the NFL. Ooops, did I just wish that? Damn, can I pick over?

5.14 Dallas Clark, TE, IND
This could be a huge pick or one that I look back at and wish I had gone a different direction. With the departure of , I can see Clark getting a lot of targets while Manning gets comfortable with whomever becomes the Colts 3rd WR. Regardless Clark is a top tier TE and getting a homer pick made it worth it.

6.01 Barret Ruud, LB, TB Looking back I should have gone a different direction with this pick. I think Ruud is going to put up huge numbers in TB's system, but I was surprised by the lack of LB drafting so far. There are plenty of LBs who can put up points every week, but like QBs there are some elite LBs who put up big numbers every week. Unlike QBs the LBs aren't as well known and can change quickly from year to year. Here's hoping I get lucky with Ruud.

7.14 Jerious Norwood RB, ATL
Norwood's value with rely on Michael Turner, but with Turner having to deal with the curse of 370, I hope Norwood gets plenty of touches, plus he will also be returning kicks when he is RB2 for the Falcons.

8.01 Ted Ginn WR, MIA
Ginn is entering his 3rd year and after a decent first 2 years, I hope for him to have a break-out 3rd year. He's not a top tier WR, but is good enough to be a WR2 for my team.

9.14 Josh Wilson DB, SEA
I picked Wilson for his kick returning more than his DB points. He was one of the top IDPs last year when you add in return points. He got an additional boost due to getting some starts in the Seattle backfield last year, which he won't get this year, but he should be the NDB. Plus DB is one of the hardest spots to get consistent points from, so I'm happy with Wilson as my starting DB, provided he keeps the KR job.

10.01 Josh Cribbs WR, CLE
Another player picked for his KR skills, noticing a trend yet? Rumors are that the Browns want to get Cribbs more involved in the offense, which could really increase his value, or could detract from his return points. We'll see.

7.09 Hines Ward, WR, PIT

The 7th round in this league is always that transition round where you can go in very many different way. I needed a WR 3 and Hines Ward really can't get much better at that spot. He's slowing down a little bit but he's still a favorite target and will get his yards and TD's.

8.06 Demarcus Ware, LB, DAL

I wanted another LB here and I wasn't too pleased with the names until I saw Ware available. He is a special player and maybe wont get as many sacks, but should improve all other aspects of his game. It's an idea that you draft the talent and hope the numbers will follow.

9.09 Chad Pennington, QB, MIA

It was time finally to pick a QB. I wanted one in the 4th or 5th but they were all taken amazingly early, so I waited. And waited. But I could not pass up on Chad here, as he is as good as it gets and seems to be fully healthy this year. I suspect he will put up similar numbers to last year, in which he was a top 5 QB.

10.06 Yeremiah Bell, DB, MIA

Bell was a tackle machine last year and that is what I like to see out of a DB. He will have a similar position this year and will have an opportunity to make plays.

RE 102: Thanks, but now I'm kind of wishing it wasn't changed :P I had a pretty good trade in the works.

Q's still only good for 13. I'll reload it a little later tonight.

Draft Rationales:

10.03 Oshiomogho Atogwe, DB, STL
I made this pick while walking through a downtown Boston marketplace. Imagine the frustration I had trying to spell his name on my phone. As I said I love tackle machines, and without much of a LB crew or a runstopping DT, OJ could have a monster 120 tackle season from the DB spot. Throw in 6 or 7 INTs, a potential TD and you've got yourself a NICE season.

11.12 San Diego Chargers, DEF, SDG
There was a run of team defenses and it always comes before I expect it. This was the 4th defense on my board and the 6th off the board. I fully expect them to produce up to '07 numbers now that Merriman is back. They really didn't lose anything so this should be a solid group again. Honestly, a defense is a defense, and I'm kind of thinking I should have waited, but I like to get the best on the board when a runs going, and this didn't seem like to horrible of a reach for me.

FYI, Kyle's last note is that his queue was only good for 14, not 15. Hopefully he'll be around to make his pick soon.

Well Valkyrie must have just made me a DP for his last pick, because it's the first time since Saturday that I got an e-mail about his pick. I made the pick then noticed it was his 3rd DB in a row. Not sure if it's a new strategy that he's trying with 3 DBs for the IDP flex, but I hope I didn't make a mistake.

I'm also wondering about wolfer's queue. It would be back to back DL, but there's no instructions for it...

Can we start leaving instructions for DPs so I don't worry about making picks for you... :)

We've moved pretty quick so I really need to consult my files if my queue empties before my pick. I doubt it will get to me but if it does, it will be after 6pm ET before I pick again.

I am in the same boat. I don't think it will get back to me, but if it does, I won't be checking in after 8pm CT.

Just out of curiosity, why does our draft say it's 25 rounds when it should be 24? Can we get that fixed on Kafenatid.

If we had kept the extra round, I think we should have agreed to draft the funniest player we could find.

I just realized a huge mistake...

Wes Welker, Hines Ward, and Chad 85 all have the same bye week!

I didn't really plan it but I have two Week 7 RBs and two Week 8 RBs.

It's looking like my byes are fairly spread out, but I have holes in week 5, 8 and 9.

I'm not picking another Kicker for PV, so we'll have to wait for him to show up and make his pick.

Kyle- PV is lucky to have someone so attentive looking out for him- but for your post I probably would have just clicked his queue and given him the second kicker w/o realizing it.

Interesting thing I noticed today while looking at Byes. They changed byes this year dramatically. Instead of having 4 teams per week from week 3 through week 10, they now have byes from week 4 to week 10 but they are bunched in the middle:

weeks 4-6 have 4 teams on bye
weeks 7-9 have 6 teams on bye
week 10 has two teams on bye

7-9 are going to be brutal for teams trying to find enough players to play. Ive got all three of my WR on bye in week 8 and I bet there's alot of other teams around the leagues that are going to be in for a shock come week 7.

Did PV pick the kicker or did someone else do it for him? It would be nice to confirm this before we move on.

It's not that big a deal this late in a draft that seems endless.

If wolfer would switch Brown to Quentin Jammer, that would be cool.

I must say this draft is probably the best I've liked my late-late round selections in RIFC. I feel like this might be the deepest that solid players are still available. Or maybe I'm just really hyped up on EVERY player.

sorry about taking my last pick so late. the clock somehow timed out quicker than i expected, and i have barely been around a computer this week to do even a modicum of research,

Gaines Adams, DL, TB

thanks for patience...

The best I've been able to find is the standings page - the schedule for the week is at the bottom of the page and each team is clickable for their lineups.

BTW for everyone, you should only have your starting lineup players set to "Active". Your 9 bench players should be set to "Reserve".

I found the schedule under miscellaneous ???
Hardly intuitive there but still have to look at each individual lineup to see opponent's lineup- I assume this means we will not be able to set different lineups for each half of the double header- which with my plethora of medicre WR's and IDP's makes each decision twice as important?
But at least it is free.

That is correct. We are not able to set a different lineup for each half.
