We need to do at least a round a day. The goal is two rounds a day, which will mean we'll be done in five days!

Who's pulling the trigger on QBs in round 1?

With all these timezones...2 rounds a day is definitely asking a lot.
I'll be happy with at least one round a day.

So what happened to Jeff and the replacement pick and Trash and the replacement pick? Just curious.

Random observations...

Brady goes 1.1 and not selected yet through 1.11.

Larry Fitz goes 1.2 and 1.14.

I have LT in both leagues, that didn't happen on purpose. If I had pre-selected I would have picked Larry Fitz in the second league just to change things up.

Addai goes at 1.4, much higher than projected.

Just checking in to see how my picks are going and I'm happy to see Turner in the Eddie Division. Slaton in the Ednecks division is a little higher than most projected, but I really like him

Jeff picked the wrong Adrian Peterson and paid a heavy price. Buddy selected the wrong player and immediately asked me to correct it.

Ted- I put peterson on the list, chose the wrong one by accident. When I pre-draft i just go in order just in case, usually keeps me in line but not this time.

interesting draft so far. Hard to guess who will be left on the board once your turn comes around. Addai goes 4th in one league and 37th in the other.

i just pre drafted in both leagues. Hey, not being an arse or anything, just some advice. If you are 4th in line, you can still predraft, just pick th e4 players that you would most like to have. And then you will get one of them. You dont have to wait until its your turn. Waiting wont help your chances of getting a certain player. 4 was just an example, you can do the same thing 5,6,7,8,9,10 etc turns out. You might feel like its a waste of time, but its not, there are only a handful of players that you will want anyway, so pick them and see who is left when it gets to you. Its easy, and it really speeds things up for everyone. However, if you have two picks back to back like I do, then you might want to wait to see who you got with the first pick before you make the second pick. Otherwise you may get stuck with position/bye week problems. Just some advice.

Sorry for holding up the draft so many times, but I am with the Godfather. I don't predraft usually more than 4 picks out. Too much can happen before that.

What is wrong with Marshall? I know he screams Ochocinco syndrome, but he should be fine this season.

Now that the Eddie Division draft is done, if you are bored check
out the Draft Recap. Where you normally see the "Draft Report" just
change the format to "Draft Recap." I've never seen it in previous
years. It like Shak's draft the most in the Eddie.

Primates

Coach Gerry had a rotten draft in the recent 2009 2009 Survivor - Eddie Division draft.

They said rotten!

Its fun to read but dont really mean crap based on the way we play.

Who had the best pick in th eentire draft?

rotten

"Coach Kyle had a exemplary draft in the recent 2009 2009 Survivor - Eddie Division draft.
Coach Kyle had a horrible draft in the recent 2009 2009 Survivor - Ednecks Division draft."

:( Realistically if you take out the horrible ADP ratings of Cassel and Kevin Jones my Ednecks team doesn't look at bad...

It's funny, I like my depth better in the 'necks division, but I do think Eddie has a better chance of going the distance.

thats how it was in the past, but we may have changed it to both stay until the next week, and the lowest of the two next weeks gets kicked off, as well as the other person with the lowest score. I am certain it was changed due to the fact that some believed that one stat alone should not mean the end of the season for one owner...

Doesn't look too good for me in the 'necks division. Looking at the defenses my players face this week my RBs see the Titans, the Giants and the Vikings, Pennington faces Indy (who doesn't allow passing TDs), 85 goes against Green Bay, and my TEs see New England and Chicago. My only hope is Cassel coming back and having a big game against Oakland or Lance Moore having a good one against Philly... I'd like to stay on the rock a couple more weeks with this weaker team, I think once injuries start taking a toll I could do some damage! :\

My mind isn't working this morning so I have to type this out to make sure I have it right.

Ednecks:
Week 1:
Eliminated: Spanish Churros
Immunity: Trashhaulers

Week 2:
Eliminated: Fat Ba$tards
Immunity: Trashhaulers (again)

Eddie:
Week 1:
Eliminated: Tie (Tugg Speedman loses tie breaker to Godfather)
Immunity: Spanish Churros

Week 2:
Eliminated: Shak (Tugg is eliminated by the tie break so his score doesn't count, and Spanish Churros is saved by immunity)
Immunity: JD

---------------------------
I think this is right... Even if we did the tie break based on total TDs and not the next weeks score Tugg still would have lost in the first week of Eddie causing Shak to lose in week 2. That's some rough stuff...

Bye weeks are here and immunity is VERY important!!

Ednecks Division

Week three saw the Spanish Churros achieve a high score of 121, but unfortunately for him, he was eliminated in week one! JHHH has the immunity for week 4 with a score of 116.

The eliminated team for the week was Joe with a score of 54.

Eddie Division

Week three saw the Spanish Churros get immunity in this division as well, but he hasn't been eliminated here. In fact, this is his second week of high score, but his week inbetween was just barely survivable.

Fat Bastards took the hit with a miserable 34 points. This isn't his fault, having Westbrook, Bowe, and Lewis out will kill a team.

Anyway, I must say, this website has come a long way since the beginning. I see they have added a blog area on the players page to get the latest news about them. I found out about Gore here before I saw anything on CBS. Pretty cool.

Have a great week.

Per Clydes' comment: "Week three saw the Spanish Churros get
immunity in this division as well, but he hasn't been eliminated
here. In fact, this is his second week of high score, but his week
inbetween was just barely survivable." Actually Churros 2nd week
was only survived because he did have immunity. Otherwise he
was done! His immunity in Week 2 cost Shak a premature exit.

I have Brady Quinn as backup QB in both leagues like a dummy, looks like I may squeak by though with Matt Ryan on bye in Eddie. Cutler is on bye next week so that could be my demise in Ednecks. Noe the less my pucker factor is high right now

Looking at my teams I'm starting to like how things are shaping up. My Eddie team (or as I call "The Good Team") faces it's rough bye week in week 7, but that's only Knowshon and Julius Jones missing. I'm not sure if missing Roddy and Turner this week is considered "rougher" compared to missing the week 7 pair.

My Ednecks team (or the Super Sh*ttacular Team") will struggle to get to week 8, but once it gets there I'm pretty sure that's going to be a game over, put that team to bed week. No QB (Cassel bye, Pennington dead) and my top 2 receivers (OchoCinco and Heath Miller) are all out that week. Here's hoping to Dustin Keller having 10 catches, 150 yards and 2 TDs that week to keep me afloat! :)

Week 4's Rock departees/immunity are:

Ednecks Division

30 points - Les Grossman (TT)
114.5 points - STB

Eddie Division

46.5 - Tednecks
110.5 - Pocket Hercules

The bye weeks are moving ahead and the competition keeps getting smaller. I have seen most methods of managing bye weeks. Try for most in the early bye weeks with most of the competition still around or spread it as evenly as possible over the weeks. It really all comes down to luck with injuries and hoping your team can step up on bye weeks. The diamond in the rough is a great find as well and can make someone's season.

Good luck to me!!!

Looks like Chitown Primates is out in the 'necks and Jumpmasters in Eddie.

Looks like I get immunity in Eddie (pending no one gets a huge game from someone) since Fat Ba$tards was eliminated. Donater has Edneck's Immunity sealed up since he's at 133 and no one's over 100.

Another week that decided before Monday night...

Yeah I was careful to say unless someone has a huge game. When you have 2 unpredictable teams going out there (rookie QB vs. Wildcat) you could get one of those 6-3 games where no one puts up fantasy points or you could get what you had last night where there were a few big nights. Luckily Thomas Jones decided to stop at only 2 TDs and didn't decide he wanted 4 or 5. He sure made my pulse quicken early though.

Gee, I feel bad for you Jon...not really. J/K

I'll go ahead and jinx myself and breakdown my teams.

Edneck

I did exeptionally well last week with 4 players on a bye. None this week, so I can only hope for immunity.

Should be a shoot out in the G-men/Saints game. I am hoping that benching Manning isn't a season long tactic. Marshall is turning out fine and will probably only improve. Forte should find some sucess against Atlanta.

Eddie

I narrowly escaped elimination last week. 44 points with only two on byes isn't good. Gore is my only player on a bye this week, but I haven't seen him since week 2 anyway. Schaub has been a pleasant surprise. Cooley, Mason and Jackson have been my bread winners and should be again this week. On a side note, J. Russell who still has a bye week ahead of him has 15 points this season. How much longer until they take him to the back forty and put a bullet in his head? He is terrible.

Not looking to be eliminated in either league this week, but this is Survivor so who knows.

My chances this week are fair in the Ednecks division. Only Brandon Marshall and Julius Jones off this week. I really need S. Smith, the not scoring one, to step it up this week. I think that if E. Manning has a game like the rest, except last week, I stand a 70/30 chance of survival.

Eddie Division sees F. Gore back!! I really need him as well. Derrick Mason is my only bye week person this week, so if Shaub is even having an average game, I will do just fine. I think this one is a 90/10 survival chance.

Anyone else?

Joe, I don't think you can drop players either, but why would you anyway? It is funny to see the picks people have made that didn't work out.

Anyway in the Edneck division it appears that Jumpmasters will be off the rock this week with a paltry 43 points this week. That could change with some negative numbers on Monday night's performances.

Immunity looks like it will go to the TrashHaulers. This is his third week of immunity and could be a winner of the entire game, but it is Survivor so one bad week can end a season.

In the Eddie division, Money makers will be tossed off of the rock. They have been floating near the bottom of most weeks and natural selection has finally taken place. STB does have the lowest score with two to play, but he also has immunity from last week. He probably won't need it with Campbell and Portis to play, but you never know.

High score and immunity goes to the league leader Joe. He is averaging the best among all of us and this is his first week to garner the top score.

Yes, I am on leave this week, so that is why you all get the breakdown.

I was talking about my future HOF Raider QB. I Have him in ednecks, and he seems to get negative points more then positive (except when he plays the eagles?) Just joking, I know that I cant drop him, and I know it dont matter cause Im out anyways. Sweet Karma ednecks ;)

Week 8 in Survivor is looking ok for me in the Ednecks division. Only K. Winslow on a bye this week, so barring any injuries or just pathetic scores, I should advance. I will give myself a 75% chance of making it.

Eddie division, where Joe only has one immunity week Shak had last week's immunity, I took a huge loss last week. My diamond in the rough, C. Cooley broke his ankle last week. He would have had a bye this week anyway, but I can't see him making it back in time. Again, I will give myself a 75% chance of making it.

Once we get a few more teams eliminated, hopefully not mine, I will try to take a look at the remaining teams and predict who will leave the rock and why.

Early results from week 8 are in. In the Ednecks division, Unmanned Aircraft will exit unless Elam puts up 4 or more points, then Kyle will be off the rock. JD is the new immunity winner for the week with a score of 102.

The Eddie division has The Godfather, who escaped the tie for being tossed off the rock in week 1, shipped to a colder climate. Immunity goes again to JD with 140.5. Is there a possibility of a double winner? Ednecks came close one year, but I don't think it has been done since the inception of the two leagues.

One half of the way through and it has been interesting so far. Here is a breakdown of who is out for each league. The number in parentheses is their draft position.

Ednecks

Out

Spanish Churros (16)
Fat Ba$tards (1)
Joe (8)
Les Grossman (TT) (2)
Chitown Primates (11)
Moneymakers (17)
Jumpmasters (9)
Kyle (13)

Eddie

Out

Tug Speedman (TT) (13)
Spanish Churros (3)
Fat Ba$tards (15)
Tedneck (1)
Jumpmasters (9)
JHHH (5)
Moneymakers (4)
The Godfather (7)

The teams with both still in both leagues.

JD
Superclydes
STB
Shak Attack
TrashHaulers
Pocket Hercules/A Donator
Unmanned Aircraft

Those with both teams gone.

Spanish Churros
Fat Ba$tards
Les Grossman/Tug Speedman (TT)
Moneymakers
Jumpmasters

I can't be positive and please correct me if I am wrong, but the owners with both teams out are the rookies correct? I will admit Churros did get a royal screwing getting knocked out in week 2, but that is Survivor!!

Ednecks division as it stands is Unmanned Aircraft with 35 points and Big Ben to play. He needs >12 points to beat the Godfather who has no players left.

Immunity goes to ME!! Churros actually have the high score, but were previously eliminated.

Eddie division has Shak Attack low man on the totem pole with 40.5, but 2 left to play. Next on the chopping block is Chitown Primates with 44.5 and one left to play. IF they both score incredibly well, STB at 67 with no one left play.

Immunity goes to JD again this week. This guy could be trouble!!

You are right, it will get interesting with bye weeks gone and higher scores being eliminated. Gone are the days when you score 60 or so and are safe.

Injuries will be key at this stage. An injury to a key player, even for one week, could mean the difference to staying or going.

There are still a few teams around with two teams. Could it be luck in the draft? Skilled drafting of bye week players? Draft position? Drafted a diamond in the rough?

In Ednecks it is between Buddy at 64.5 points for the week and myself 61 points with Colston and Carney yet to play. I feel fairly confident here. Immunity looks to be going to Shak Attack.

In Eddie, Kyle is sitting with 65 points and Gostkowski yet to play and TrashHaulers with 74.5 and Welker yet to play. Immunity will be going to JD once again. This guy needs some injuries.

Sorry to not get on here sooner guys, I completely forgot about this place...being a rookie and all!!

Looks like some of you might be a little scared of my efforts (Superpony) but there is a lot of game left and I'm taking nothing for granted. The competition is getting tough, scores weren't so high this past week and if you're not bringing 100 to the table you get no love!!

So what are the chances of a double winner??

Watch out JHHH and Joe...the Mighty Gerbils are gnawing at your heels!!!!!

Immunity rears it's ugly head for Unmanned Aircraft this week in the Ednecks. Jim has low score, 53 with 36 of those coming from Romo alone, but still has Jennings left to play tonight. Unmanned Aircraft still have a few playing right now, but have low score with 56.5 all played. See ya!

Eddie would have JD on the chopping block with 44.5 points and Rogers left to play, but again immunity steps in and saves him either way. Next in line is myself with 63 points, but have Jennings and Mason left to play tonight. That leaves Churros with 64.5, coincidentally 36 from Romo as well, and Flacco left to play. With Romo's points pretty safe, I think Churros should start packing!!

Immunity in Ednecks should go to JD once again and in Eddie it will be between Joe and STB with players left to play for both of them.

Per the rules from Shak himself:

The weekly top scoring owner each week will gain immunity for the next week but it will only last through NFL season 15. Week 16 and 17 their will be no immunity and teams will face off for two weeks with the highest combined score the winner and 2nd highest gets second.

Only two more weeks of immunity!! They are VERY precious right now.

Well, well, well. There were some surprises this week. A few players decided that it was time to put their name in the books. Joe with a 93.5 first half and Marshall had 20, yes 20, receptions in their game against Indy. Oh, the scores you say?

Shak Attack was attacked this week in Ednecks. He will be escorted from the island with nice parting gifts though. Immunity will go to ME!! I needed that!!

In Eddie, Trash was trashed. He will be escorted from the island with a swift kick...just kidding. Immunity will go to Joe, who could only muster another 24.5 points after his spectacular 1st half. Yeah, I wish I had that problem!!

I have the lead right now, but I have no dogs in the game monday night. While JD is only 2.5 behind me with hightower to go, he will need more then 8 points from his stud RB to surpass TO and actually matter, here is hoping that doesnt happen. I Cant believe how poor my players did in the second half, and these 99 yard games are killing me. II think this is the third week ina row that I had a player that got 99 or 299 yards. One more yard is worth 4 points! OH well...

Yeah, it would have been nice to have double immunity this week. At least I can say I made it to the finals in one league!! I can't believe there is a 3-way chance to have a double winner...amazing.

Joe and myself are in the final three teams with our immunity this week. Here is just a little reminder of what we are all playing for.

2009 payouts are as follows ($50 entry fee)
Survivor in each league gets $210
Runner up in each league gets $75
Highest total score for all 17 weeks gets $50 in each league.
Owner who survives the most weeks combined between two leagues gets $180.
Score Keepers get a $25 discount

Gonna be another nail biting week. I am not pleased with losing a kicker who is usually good for six points at least each week. Playoff time is when the good get rested, so it could be very cruicial to owners who have players on teams that have clinched playoff spots, ie Colts and Saints.

I see there are no real big surprises from tonight's game. Manning, MJD, Clark and Wayne all had great games again. No surpise as well, the remaining teams owned a majority of the players as well.

This performance doesn't look good for a team to squeak by this week. Most of the owners of those players already have 30 points and you don't make it this far without having a good supporting cast as well. Looks to be a high scoring week, I hope my team can pull it off.

In the Ednecks league, it appears that STB, one of the three two-teamers, will exit the island. I bet he is still in shock that he made it this far with that team.

The Eddie divsion will see STB leave again as well if Campbell doesn't have a miracle game.

With that being said, myself and JD have two teams left going into the playoffs where the next two weeks decide the overall winner. We could use some clarification on who would win the most weeks. I am sure it was never thought that two teams would actually make it this far. Does it mean that since we add both weeks up to determine the overall winner, we just look to see who would have advanced? I'll have to send Shak an e-mail.

Great question about the surviving most weeks. My take is if one
of you wins both then that person is obviously the Ultimate
Survivor and wins everything. If you split then I say you split the
"wins most weeks" 50/50. If one wins one division and the other
wins nothing then again a no-brainer. My 2 cents...

Great accomplishment to get two teams through in both divisions!

I concur with JHHH, but I'll take it a step further. If one wins a first and a second and the other wins a first and a third, we have a winner. If they both win a first and second, then they will split. Make sense?

Well in Eddie, I am lagging being, but still have Forte to go and JD isn't fairing much better, but still has Favre to play as well. JHHH is sitting nice with 97 points in week 16.

In Ednecks, JD is going to have a poor week with 72.5 all done. Joe is runner up so far with 89 points all in and I racked up 122.5 with E. Bennett left to play, who hasn't been big all year.

True, I did get them mixed up, but it really doesn't matter at this point.

Totals before MNF:

Eddie

JHHH - 97 points with Longwell to play
JD - 79.5 points with Favre to play
Superclydes - 66.5 points with Forte to play

Ednecks

Superclydes - 122.5 points with Bennett to play
Joe - 89 points all done
JD - 72.5 points all done

This next week will prove very critical on starters. P. Manning, Favre (who will start due to the record), and the others who have already clinched playoff spots, will probably not play the entire game this week to protect/rest them.

That being said, Shaub isn't in the playoffs yet, but plays the Pats who have already clinched and might slack off. Eli isn't in the playoff picture, but after last week he will look to turn it around to save face...I hope. There are a lot of hopes out there for all, but I do like my chances. Peyton and Rogers are clinchers, so they might ride the pine early.

Week 16 final scores. Some points didn't matter from MNF as we had other players score higher.

Ednecks

JHHH - 103
JD - 98
Superclydes - 67

Eddie

Superclydes - 122.5
Joe - 89
JD - 72.5

Survivor in each league gets $210 - Still up in the air
Runner up in each league gets $75 - Still up in the air
Highest total score for all 17 weeks gets $50 in each league - Ednecks is between JD and JHHH.
Eddie Joe has it pretty much wrapped up, but JD has an outside chance.

Owner who survives the most weeks combined between two leagues gets $180 - Still up in the air

Unless I get some outstanding numbers from my players who aren't injured in Ednecks, it is a wrap there. I can only hope to make a decent showing. Losing S. Smith hurt me and not having a kicker is not doing me any good either. I have a slew of other players with (Q)'s next to their name as well.

Eddie is another story though. I am looking good there, but who knows who is going to be rested or only play a limited role. I hope to cling to that lead to win this division, but I will still need a good week to keep everyone else at bay.

Now would be a good week for my Ednecks players to end the season on a high note!!

I see my Edneck wish isn't getting any help with Marshall getting benched. I could really have used his points tomorrow. I guess I still should be proud that I made it this far. I can't see a double win for me this year though.

So glad to see my players either hurt or benched and reading that the Titans are going to give CJ a chance to break Dickerson's single season rushing record. The scary part is that he could possibly do it against Seattle!!

It's been an interesting night of football so far. My boy Farve with 4 TDs..woohoo!!! I'm thinking I could be looking at a first and second place finish...we'll see what happens with the late games.

Happy 2010 to all still reading!! Any word on a playoff challenge???

We'll call it a tie Joe!!! All I'm hoping for is an extra 17 points over you...Superpony has it wrapped up in Eddie (which is well deserved with the performance of his team when it counted!!)

screw that! I have bills to pay :)

Seriously, we should consider changing the format for this and end it a week earlier

We might have to consider ending it 2 weeks early, players started getting benched last week. You still have Jones to play so I pretty much consider my chances done for a 2nd in Eddie. Great job for you getting the high score overall for the league!!

The results are in!! Well for the most part.

Edneck totals from week 16 and 17

JD - 186.5
JHHH - 176.5
Superclydes - 112

Eddie totals from week 16 and 17

Superclydes - 199
Joe - 158 and T. Jones still playing
JD - 157

As it stands right now, payout are as follows (with Shak's approval of course!):

Ednecks

League Champ - JD - $210
Runner Up - JHHH - $75
High Score - JD - $50

Eddie

League Champ - Superclydes - $210
Runner Up - Joe - $75
High Score - Joe - $50

Most weeks survived from both leagues is a tie betweek JD and Superclydes. I assume they will split the pot at $90 a piece.

The extra $25 for scorers fee is up in the air. I'll let Jim decide that.

Overall a fantastic season. We had a few anomolies this year that should be addressed for next season.

Consider shortening the season by one week. Sure players were benched last week, but that usually isn't the norm. Week 17 is when you expect to see high profile players not in the lineup or in limited roles.

Have specifics spelled out for Survivors who take two teams all of the way. It worked out as a tie this year, but what about a finish of 1st and 3rd for one team and two seconds for the other? Just needs some clarification.

Have a safe and wonderful 2010 and hope to see you back next year!! Now who is running the playoff game???

I think that for next year, we should have one less team, and play one less week. Its not like there is as much as a demand or activity in this league anymore. And it will make the ending a little better IMHO.

I agree, that and clarification of two-team owners in the playoffs.

Great fun!!

Snail mail as well for me. Jon, I will send you an e-mail with my address once I get your address.

Hey Guys, sorry about not being more active this year, but starting a new career has kept me pretty busy. I concur with the results and the payouts. I'm really not concerned about the $25 for scorekeeper.

Anyone up for playoff challenge?

Not sure where to send payment, but I'm down for a playoff matchup. Just let me know who's e-mail address the Paypal transfer should go to.

I bet I'm going to be the first to put down their roster, but here's mine.
For week one I'll go with a Three Wide formation:
1 QB, 1 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 DEF/ST

QB: Aaron Rodgers, GBP
RB: Thomas Jones, NYJ
WR: Donald Driver, GBP
WR: DeSean Jackson, PHI
WR: Randy Moss, NWE
TE: Jason Witten, DAL
K: Jay Feely, NYJ
D/ST: Green Bay Packers

Wow, I had a hard time filling this out. There wasn't another RB I really trusted to go out there, the WRs that were going against premier pass defenses weren't going to be picked. Hopefully this is a high scoring group!

Hey Kyle, next time just email your picks to Shak, we all should not see who you pick. If we do see, then we can base our picks based off you and your score. In the first round it is not so important. But lets say it is the last round. I am in first and you are in second place, and we have a comfortable lead over eveyone else. If I see who you pick, I will pick the same dang players you have which would guarantee my victory. Get it?

True, and thanks for the suggestion. I'm just letting you know that these will be the top scoring players this week, so you might as well pick them :)
