Tuesday, September 1st, I will be away from phone and computer until @ noonish EST. Hopefully the draft will not reach me before I return. No queue left because it is the first picking round in this draft and I need to see what will benefit my team before pulling yje trigger.

Have set a longer queue.
for queue-takers:
Take the top player for round 10.
Take a player at a different position for round 11, if one if possible.
If no players are left, take the highest DEF or K.
take no more than one DEF or PK.

Did some DP make that pick for Taxman by mistake? He specified that his queue not be used for round 10, and that pick gives him two defences.

Looking at the pick times if Taxman's queue wasn't used (per his instructions)he would still be on the clock and no other picks would/could have been made. I don't know if draft can be rolled back till that point, but it seems the fairest thing to do. Unless he actually times out which would occur around 9 minutes after noon eastern.

I gave the option to reset those picks and he could take whoever he wanted, but knowing you wanted them so bad might have factored in the decision to keep them! :)
BTW I take the blame for not rechecking this thread last night before making the pick. I had just gotten home and saw the e-mail for making a DP so went on and made it. I will check here first from now on.

Shouldn't they be placed on Waiver on Sept 6 or 7th -- assuming we finish the draft by then. There

Note to all
The commish has Yahoo set up so that you can add your players
to your team. This will allow everyone to see who is left as we
fill the remaining holes on our rosters.
I'm still using my cheat sheets, but after 4 drafts they are a
mess. All curled up, coffee stained, and smudged with muli
colored ink and unintelligable notations in the margins.
Looks like a bad flashback from a sixties acid trip.

I was debating changing the clock to 2 hours per pick after this round so we might finish before the weekend. Of course, we don't have to finish until next wed since the league is active and you can place any players for Thurs game into your lineup as you take them. I don't have a weekend draft pause set, so hopefully everyone will have access at some point and can set up queues. I will be around most of the weekend checking, so can make picks or trades if necessary.
The waivers will not be turned on for all players until Sunday at 1pm each week. You can still pick up players after Thurs or Sat games have started, you just cannot put them in your lineup if they have already played obviously.

So I guess Yahoo finally put in a real waiver system, huh? I can't remember how we've set waiver wire priority in the past. Is it reverse of draft order or same as draft order (to help out us non-playoff squads)?

re 31 Yahoo's default is reverse of last round of draft; don't know if its adjustable.
re 28 I know about coffe stains, colored inks,flashbacks and the sixties, but what are cheat sheets?

ranking sources and printed out. I usually make several coptes,
but this year I only made one and used different colored ink to
keep track of each draft.
Don't leave home without it.
If everyone picks up their player after they draft him, there are
multiple ways to sort through who's still available on the Yahoo
game site.

Wow, I haven't been to this site in probably 5 years. It still looks the same. Brings back some great memories.
Anyway, I'm headed out to the wilderness for the weekend. I set up my queue, but if it empties just grab me the best available K and DEF. You can use the Yahoo rankings.

Everyone should have their drafted players now. Check to make sure I didn't make mistakes on the adds I did. FBCM is short two players, but can make pick ups now. Everyone else is free to make add/drops now as well since the draft is over.
RE:waivers - weekly waivers runs Sun thru Tues for all players. Yes, Yahoo finally got this added for non-plus leagues! Players dropped outside this time period are on waivers for 1 day only.
Initial waiver priority is reverse of draft like it has always been for these leagues. The non-snake draft is intended to help teams with poor records get better already, so do not see a reason to change the priority.
