Great -- Ward is now part of a RBBC in TB and N Washington is out several weeks with his
hammie...I was joking when I said that Caddy was a handcuff for Ward -- I guess not.

Judy, it depends on your point of view. As long as Earnest Graham
is part of that committee, I think the TB coach is right on target.
When can we start making free agent moves so that I can correct
some of m draft mistakes? Thanks,

Thoughts about dropped players sitting out 1 day, 2 days (current) or available
immediately?
Big boys looking at 1 for sure and maybe no delay.

I think you need some sort of delay. There is strategy involved
in dropping a player late on Friday (knowing that he can't be
used by another team that week), yet hoping that the guy you
want will still be available.

Plus, with no dely, what's to keep me from emailing another
manager to let him know that I'm dropping player X. (not that
anyone in this league would do that.)

No delay is definiely a disadvantage for anyone with limited
internet access throughout the day.

One day sounds good to me.

You can probably set it up to receive an email when someone is dropped.

In baseball it seems to take a long time. In fact, I forget about the guy by the time he comes off waivers. I think it's two days in our AAA league.

In past seasons the waiver order was reset for the 1st few weeks before having the claiming team go to the end. Is this the policy for this year, and if so, for how many weeks?

It goes by weekly finish, worst to first for 6 weeks and then it just rolls after that ( use the waiver, go to the
bottom). At least that is what Guru and I think we have set up. Until the first week is over, it goes reverse of
the draft (custom).

"locked" players but are not sure how to do it just yet. I think they unlock at 3 am EDT -- we
cannot change that...

QUESTION ABOUT TACKLE/ASSIST POINTS

We (RIFC and us) have chosen this option, however, it applies only to IDP's in our league.

This is the total number of tackles in a game by a player. It includes tackles by an offensive player after a fumble
or interception, and it includes miscellaneous tackles on special teams.

This is the other option -- which is what I think we used last year.

This is the number of tackles in a game by a defensive player. It does not include tackles by offensive players
after a fumble recovery or an interception. It also does not include tackles by players on special teams, such as on a
punt or kickoff return.

Which one do we want?  If we choose the first one I do not believe we will be able to verify it as I do not think ST
tackles are recorded in the stats.

Please let me know.

In RIFC, I recall getting points form my kicker and WR tackles in the past. Some times these mystery points would decide the loser or winner on Monday or Tuesday. So, I disagree on your thinking of past RIFC scoring rules for these tackles, and I think points were awarded.

I'll clarify:

OPTION #1) (We set it to apply only to IDPs.)
This is the total number of tackles in a game by a player. It includes tackles by an offensive player
after a fumble or interception, and it includes miscellaneous tackles on special teams.

OPTION #2)
This is the number of tackles in a game by a defensive player. It does not include tackles by
offensive players after a fumble recovery or an interception. It also does not include tackles by players
on special teams, such as on a punt or kickoff return.

Please pick a number!

#1 is the one that has always been used. If we choose option #2, you will not be able to look at the gamebook as reported on any prominent website (such as nfl.com) and be able to determine the number of tackles that your IDP records, as ST tackles are included in tackle totals as a matter of convention. Instead, you will have to go to the play-by-play and manually discount all tackles made on special teams. Option #2 will make it much harder to confirm that MFL has correctly scored our IDPs. Additionally, I think we should mimic RIFC when they have clearly established a policy, and this seems to be such a situation. I see no persuasive reason to change the status quo, and thus am very strongly in favor of #1.

I have NEVER seen option 1 used and am adamently opposed to an offensive player getting IDP points (like tackle) unless he plays on defense. IF any of my iFC leagues have ever used #1 in the past, I certianly didn't notice it. ST isn't IDP, it's Special teams. Offense isn't IDP simply because the O fumbled or threw a pick. I am in fvor of IDP losing pts for fumbling the ball back to the Offense on a turnover play though. Why should he be erwarded with the INT/FR points just to give teh ball back. Might seem paradoxical to some, but feels right to me. ;)

Ref, no offensive players would get IDP points under option #1. As Judy specified in her clarification post, this rule would apply only to IDPs regardless of what we choose.

Option 1 and apply it to everybody, the same as it has always been. If you're going to change any rules, it should have been done before the draft.

So #1 is how it has always been? Why fix if it ain't broke? But it seems to me that it never counted the tackles of an offensive player after a fumble. But ST tackles were counted if I remember. I change to #1 after getting things clarified.

OK, so how would a WR ever score points by tackling then? He will never be a IDP. My thing is that this is an Individual DEFENSIVE position scoring. Not ISTP. Not IOP. I get it, if a WR plays at DB, then he should get points for both. If a DL plays on Off and catches a pass, he should get those points. But on offense or ST tackles--that's not defense to me. JMO.

With the Iggles D doing all the work, McNabb getting injured, and no need to jeopardize Westie's

Why don't they just put red jerseys on QB's during the game if you can't do anything to them. The Wilfork hit was clean, yet they call a penality for going low on the QB, when he gets him at the waist. The second be Thomas was questionable, but the crowd was loud, and couldn't hear the whistle probably. Did they throw a flag when the guy jumped on McNabb after he jumped on him 20 minutes or so after he scored the TD? What about yesterday, Rodgers was getting hit hard, yet no calls at all. And it seems to be that when a lineman hits a guy at his feet from the side, almost behind, when he is rushing the QB is not clean, no?

Bad call against the Raiders -- catch it high, bring it down, secure it in one arm, take
two steps, twist your body still in control and ball comes loose on ground = TD!

Aside from Adrian Peterson my team was at best mediocre, and if he did not have a game worthy of a #1 pick, I would have lost both games. Peterson will not play like that every week, and I know that the season has just begun, but if my other players do not wake up, the season will be very long.

I am VERY happy with the accuracy of MFL's live scoring system. Fanball would NEVER be the same the next morning. I gotta tell ya though I was hoping I'd get that point back from mjd somehow. If history is any indication, I will lose a few close games and finish about 4th in the standings again and then go nuts in the playoffs only to lose the championship.

It's my own fault though. I am still surprised on how poorly some of my higher picks did. I guess I shouldn't be as it seems to happen like this every year.

I thought I started Cribbs. Must not have hit the submit button. Then Breaston goes from probable to out in the afternoon game. So on Sunday afternoon, I tried to cut a guy playing Monday for another guy playing Monday. I think I could do it, but it was effective for week 2. So, I had to take a zero for Breaston. Luckily, Brees was out of his mind, and I won anyways.

Waiver requests sre on the for owners pull down at the top --
waivers
it gives the time for the processing-- l think it is noon weds
then FA pick ups begin at 3 pm
the league home page has the waiver order -- you can add it
to you home page by customizing -- I think one of the options
is to match the commish page

let me know if you need more info -- I am not at home tonight

Judy, Bryant not playing was a known thing (what with the team leaving him at home), so I don't really see how the time his team played is relevant. I would've obviously switched him out had MFL allowed me to make the switch. The other problem is that I couldn't see my team's lineup to know what switches I would've wanted to make, and I'm in enough leagues this year that I don't know off the top of my head which players I have on which team. Bess plays tomorrow night, which is why I figured he could be switched in. I totally understand about Burleson not being allowed to be added in.

I had manningham set to start last night in place of lance moore, then after checking some weekly cheatsheets and seeing L.Moore ranked pretty highly and manningham nowhere to be found, I stupidly switched them back. Can't believe I did that. I knew Moore was a bad play and I had a pretty strong feeling that manningham would be useful for the Giants.

So disgusted with myself. Serious lapse in judgement. I know some of these fantasy experts completely half-ass their rankings and I still allowed them to influence my decision. [insert primal scream here]

In another league, I grabbed two IDP's and started the one who got 0 points and sat the one who got 9.5.
Would won the game. Also the illegal trip took Tuck out of the game and that hurt him and me!

I am thinking that it is time to abandon Westie as a reliable FFballerand that is a difficult statement for me
to make. And they absolutely misused him yesterday -- before he was hurt. I thought the Eagles game
plan was a sorry mess of this and that, what's with asking Kolb to throw 51 times?? We probably would
have lost anyway, but to play junk and crappy football is inexcusable.

RE Jone's temple -- How can you count fans if all they get to see are the large screens set up
outside the stadium proper without any view of the field itself? Kinda like the big screen outside
Wimbledon and those college BBall games where they show the away game inside the school's gym.
Should not count! You are not "at the game" unless you can see the field on a regular basis! You are at a
PARTY not a FB game!

What is the TV feed for those screens -- is it the regular TV feed that we home viewers get?

Fanball is apparently a mess this year. They made some serious changes that are not
working...

MFL is really not that bad from a commish point of view. Their live scoring needs some
appearance tweeking, but it is accurate and quick.

The PD stat. Does the IDP have to actually touch the ball to get a credit?
Or what?

there are various ways to run windows programs on macs. might not be worth messing with just for gameday though.

My interpretation is that the defender has to actually knock a ball down to get a PD.

Shaping up to be a long season for me and as I feared my WR picks suck. A grand total of 1.8 (no not 18 ;that's 1 POINT 8)for my 2nd and 4th round picks is not going to get me many wins.
Not to mention my Packers looked pretty bad Sunday.

RE: 176
The PD stat is based on the scorekeeper at the game. While there are probably 15 different variations of what a PD is there is some statistical evidence that some scorekeepers will call more than others. I remember reading somewhere 2 years ago that the scorekeeper in New England calls a lot more than any other in the league.

I just attempted to add Kevin Kolb for Leonard Weaver and MFL
shows that I added Mike Anderson and dropped Jake Delhomme.

Mike Anderson is not even on a team and despite Delhomme's
poor start, I had no intention of dropping him. Not sure what
happened, but Delhomme should still be on my roster and
Leonard should be gone.

Hey Judy, my parents are moving, and gave me a bunch of my crap that I had there. Most of the stuff is things I had as a kid, and I found a figurine of a Phillie with the name Rawley, a left handed pitcher by the looks of it. Just wondering if the name or player rings a bell.

Rawley Eastwick, RP in the 1970's.

Eastwick was a rookie sensation in 1975, tying for the NL
lead with 22 saves, with a 2.60 ERA. He then won three and
saved two in post-season play as the Reds became the '75
World Champions. The 6'3" fireballer saved a league-high 26 in
1976, which, with his 11 relief wins, earned him the NL Fireman
of the Year award. After being traded to St. Louis during a 1977
salary dispute, Eastwick parlayed free agency into a $1.1 million
five-year pact in 1978 with the Yankees. They shipped him to
the Phillies that June 14. Eastwick set a NL fielding record for
pitchers by going 274 consecutive errorless games.

tackles scoring is very frustrating! I dunno how many times I've celebrated a tackle only to find that it was never credited. I'd really like to know what the guidelines are. Like, if a guy runs out of bounds because he was obviously going to be tackled, does the idp who caused it to happen get a tackle? I'd guess no, but they should, imo.

I agree with that. I was glad for the rain today as that pretty much guaranteed that Westie

Jack's groin is fine. The Eagles schedule is really soft until the NYG and Cowboy games. I

#214 I reviewed all the scores for the first 3 weeks and believe that I had the 4th or 5th highest score of this year on this week, and I lost by 10 points. I firmly believe that league record is at least 25% luck. You always lose when you play the high scorer - no matter how good your team is. You always win when you play the low scorer. So schedule has a lot to do with luck.

As far as I can tell, he's been in on only about 5 plays? Shady not at all. I think the Iggles are treating this as

NYG 41-Oak 7

Early whistle by the refs cost the Giant defense, and my team, about 24.5 fantasy points. It negated the forced fumble, fumble recovery, the 95 yard return for a TD, and allowed Oakland to avoid a shut out. OUCH!!

I think that things are starting to take shape now. There are a lot of bad teams, could be quite the race for the first overall pick. Broncos look like they could be for real. 49ers got a wakeup call, nice way to go into the bye week. What the heck is up with Ray Lewis. Stupid, stupid, stupid play that cost them a first down and 15yds. Nice win for the Bengles though, good feel good story. I can't wait for the Eagles to start playing some real competition with the players healthy, week 8 against the Giants.

Let's see -- to win 2, D Brown has to outpoint P Manning -- Hey -- Peyton -- hmm how
about some D Brown running TD's instead of passing it around?

Did you see how cold the Broncos/Pats looked in Denver? The Phillies don't play there for
another 2.5 hours. What is MBL trying to do with this scheduling? What kid can stay up that
late from the East coast? I am hoping I don't fall asleep -- will set my watch count down

Slow -- if KC could tackle... Austin would have been a nothing...on both long plays the

offensive players using slippery stuff on their shoes and socks?

Re: 274-The Oakland ball carrier was stood up and stripped of the ball. The Giants defender recovered the fumble and returned it 95 yards for a TD. The replay showed that the whistle which should not have been blown in the 1st place was blown way after this occurred. The Raiders retained possession and scored their only TD. Only needed something like 6.3 points from my 1st rd pick Chris Johnson to pull out a win against DaBomb. He scored a whole 4.3. The Titans suck so hard. I hate them, and I feel sorry for their fans.

The benching of Sims-Walker right before game-time hurt too. I'm lucky I even became aware of it. I quickly benched him and started Holt, but right before kickoff I picked up Mike Thomas and subbed him for Holt. Of course Holt put up 9.5 to Thomas' 4.9.

What can I say about my loss to Slowhand? He started Boss and Galloway who didn't even play, got 4 pts from D. Williams and still stomped me.

A week I'd like to forget. Wouldn't be surprised if Cotchery puts up 20 pts tomorrow. I had to bench him due to him being listed as questionable. Not much you can do about Monday night Q's.

#285 I am not sure anyone tracks how many yards would have been gained on a return without dirty hands. The penalty yards are tracked, but I never noticed if penalty yards or "spot of the foul" are subtracted from the return yards. I always assumed that position of the ball after the penalty walkoff vs the the location of catching the ball was the recorded return yards. I assume that negative return yards due to penalty are recorded as zero return yards. But I do not know, and never checked return yards in the official box score. I would have to watch an actual game and tally as they go for each returner. This might be a good question for Guru.

Here is the play that I am talking about:

0-0-MIA 30D.Carpenter kicks 70 yards from MIA 30 to NYJ 0. L.Washington to NYJ 28 for 28 yards (R.Torbor). PENALTY on NYJ-S.Greene, Offensive Holding, 10 yards, enforced at NYJ 28

On the stat sheet, Washington is credited for 28 yds, when inreality, it is 18 net after the penalty. I know that it is peanut points, but I find it strange that they give credit for yards that are taken away. Maybe I should write a letter to the NFL;)

Davepyro and Electro #2 -- send it in to one of the SI writer guys. The return guy probably
got all those yards because of the penalty! So, maybe they should be deducted! Good
point.

Miami is light years ahead of every other team with the wildcat. On the winning drive they used three different QB's. They used it a lot.

Don't decide the game on a dubious pass interference call.

I think he gets the yardage up to the spot of the foul....28 yards. And then there is 10 penalty yards. Plus Washington is on one of my teams.

The MFL site is OK. It happens to be same software as another league of mine uses for first time. I agree with comment above, but I miss being able to do separate lineups for each game each week. Also, last year I was able to access Fanball at work. Do not know if I could have accessed Fanball this year under new restrictions, but it was convenient last year.
Is there a message thread we can see discussions from other leagues about RIFC stuff in general?
My other league has done weekly manual free agent drafts since 1983, and last week was the first week we all agreed to do it online!! But it was a real pain for our league commissioner, and it takes a lot of time. It has been much easier after we started using email.

Watching the Giants-Saints game, and people have to stop saying that Eli is as good or better than his brother. He is not!!! He is under a lot of pressure and there have been some drops. We also have no running
game. They are shredding our DL and LB and our OL cannot protect McNabb. Akers missed
2 FG. The offense is totally out of synch and there is no running game to settle it down.
Oak is playing inspired as I think they see that they CAN win this one. We also have a
coupla injuries - S Peters early on and Abiamiri just went down.

We could very easily lose this. Lots of 3 and outs. No rhythm at all. And seemingly no plan.

I led the RIFC in points against the 2 previous seasons. fortunately still made the playoffs both times. may as well go for 3 years in a row.

That's brutal holt. At least the last two playoff teams are decided by points scored. And you can make the playoffs in RIFC and still get booted down to AAA? What's with that?

After next week's games, the waiver order will be decided by..... what? Worst record or roll forward from this week?

B7 it rolls, but we need to figure something out. Right now FA drop/adds are
treated in transactions as waivers, which drops you to the bottom if you make a
change... That is not good. We are exploring the options. It is probably a calendar
command...WIll keep you posted.

HOLT -- I've LOST out on the 8th place playoff slots two years in a row because of
lower total points, so I am currently not in sympathy with you!! AND, in playoffs, I
generally get the top or near the top points for both reg and conso playoffs -- go
figure!

Check out {251} from davepyro for more weirdness:
Four weeks into the season and only 4 teams have winning records. I guess that
everyone is still in it.
I score 161 points and lose a game, and I score 111 points the next week and win 2
games. Go figure.

yeah B7 there is a lot of turnover in the rifc. I think maybe the top 4 in the standings stay, and also any other team if they make it to the championship game. so 8-10 of this years rifc teams will be back in AAA next year.

After an absolutely terrible week, the Titans of NY are still in 2nd place only 1 game out of 1st. 2nd place is not a problem as the Titans plan on running the table.

As per running the table, Judy and Electro you have no chance as my Dodgers are winning the next 3 against Phillie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

1. Is the issue discussed in posts 339 and 342 resolved?

2. Where can I see the new order of claims priority listed? I've

1) We (RIFC and us) are working on it! We need to add FA add drops via the calendar. It will be
ready for next week.

2) Go to customize page and add the waiver wire listing to your home page to see it. I will probably
have to set the new one for next week by hand after today's claims.

Will keep you posted.

#339 It has truely been a strange season and this is only week #7.
I have not figured out the FAD at all. I was supposed to pick 7th so I had 7 picks setup. Including that I have to have another RB to start this week. So I grab every RB I can find and the one QB taken just in front of me. I copied all those RB's to the 2nd round in case I got the QB. Then I end up with second pick and all those others are still there in 2nd round. So I get 2 RBs (one I don't need) yet I still got my #2 LB in 3rd round and my #2 DB in 4th round. Is it just because everyone is waiting until after the FAD and doing straight waivers? My Inbox is totally full with waiver moves.
#347 I had to make some serious changes this week so I made a lot of them. I figured it would hurt me next week if I had any injuries, but if what mjd said is right, then there is something smelly in Boston.

You were the only one who went 4 rounds with waivers. Anything after 3 pm is a free

Props to the Phillies for beating the Dodgers. My Mom hates the Dodgers going back to their days in Brooklyn so she's really happy. (She can't stand the Yankees since George Steinbrenner bought them so go Phillies!) lol

I was watching an E Special with my lady last night on baseball wives and they profiled Cole Hamels's wife "Heidi Strobel" who was on Survivor's Season 6's "Amazon" show. Heidi & Cole
Heidi's buddy in stripping for Oreos & peanut butter, Jenna, ended up winning Season 6 and began a relationship with the winner of the Africa show (Season 3)- A couple of million dollar winners hanging out. Unfortunately, I think Ethan Zahn is extremely ill now.

To clarify a difference from last year:

There is no waiver request for locked players after the Weds noon waiver awards. To get a locked
player, you need to find out when he will be unlocked and sit by your computer to grab him.

Any player picked up after the noon waiver awards does not have any effect on the waiver wire order.

Waivers (beginning in week 7) are now rolling -- get a pick, go to the bottom.

The difference maker in the NLCS was Manny's inability to hit. He was never the same after his 50 game suspension.

DS-Most Brooklyn fans became Mets fans. A few remained Dodger fans(I did), none became Yankee fans (and if they did, they were not truly Dodger fans),but this is the first time I have heard of one switching to the Phillies. Is your mom a Phillies fan or just a Dodger hater?

loki - In the beginning (late 30's), she was a Yankees fan listening to games on the radio with her Dad who began booing the Dodgers for all their battles in the 40's & 50's. (Duke Snyder in 55 WS?) She's been to Chavez Ravine and booed the Dodgers in person so she does love to watch baseball. lol

In middle age, she disliked the way Steinbrenner "bought" the Yankee teams starting in the 70's and how it changed baseball. Any team playing against either of those 2 is worth rooting for in her opinion. She's followed the Astro's since they were the Colt 45's back in the early 60's and the the Rangers when they moved to D/FW in 1972. We've spent a lot of days roasting in the old Ranger Stadium.

To explain her complicated hiearchial cheering formula, I'd need access to the BCS CPUs to print out the actual code.

Her baseball hero is Joe Dimaggio and everyone other player falls somewhere down below him. At 79, she remembers more stuff from the summer of '49 that 2009. I barely know any of the people she talking about anymore.

Of course I can't remember what I had to eat for lunch yesterday. ;)

McNabb -- 156 passing yards with 69 to D Jack? Where is this WC offense that spreads the ball
around? 15/25 with 2 to D jack, 5 @ to Maclin/McCoy, 3 to Celek, 1 to Weaver.

Campbell had 284, 29/43, and found free receivers and without that goal line fumble, they might
have won the game.

No anger or trophy envy, just a little annoyed with all these so called experts. They are so flavor of the week. One week, Dallas needs a new QB, and are in trouble. One game, and Romo is back, and has clicked, and Dallas is on its way. And they are hating on Philly, one moron was saying, take away the big plays with D-Jax, and they lose. I say to that, take away the stadium, and you are playing in an empty lot. Sorry, I love the Eagles, and sometimes when you talk against them, it is like you are attacking my child. hey judy, do you know if our league has stat corrections applied each week? I wouldn't mind having the extra points from the Vikings' stat correction. I know the rifc runs corrections because it changed the outcome of a game this week.

I have not been doing them and I would be leery to start now... Last year I only did them when
owners notified me of errors/corrections -- it was odd things like IDP's scoring offense TD's (like
the fridge did). I have not heard any concerns this year so I have not done anything. I am using
what MFL gives us rather doing (weekly) micro changes later on.
We can look into it for next season...?

I doubled checked the waivers processed and the MFL set up gives the correct order for next
week and I agree with it (after a manual check up).

It is:

SLOW, DH, DS, Ref, B7, TW, NYT, GW, mjd, TD, EE, DBS, TB, Holt

For some reason it is not listing accurately on my home page (I chose the option to display the
waiver wire order). I've asked the help people what's up and hope to hear from them. However,
in the mean time I am confident that waivers will run just fine for next week!

Does anyone else have the waiver wire order displayed as part of their home page? If so, what
order do you have? It is sometimes confusing to be both the manager and commish when
flipping back and forth, although both of my pages agree -- they are not correct!

great - My RB are going down fast. D Brown is OUT, Westie should NOT play for his own good,
Snelling whom I just picked up is OUT, and Caddy is on a BYE.

That leaves Shady to carry the load. Good luck my man!

I noticed that I had the 14th pick in waivers this week, yet I am sure I did not pick first last week. It really does not matter. I just wanted to know why.
I could use a QB2 if someone was interested. I have not been able to get one the last 2 weeks.

Waiver order is now corrected on home page.

Davepyro, you are #13 for this week.

Remember that each time you are awarded a Weds waiver wire pick, you go to the bottom of the
list. When you have more than one round of waivers, you keep going to the bottom with each
reward. I think you got 3 or 4 rounds of waiver awards last week while no one else had that many.
That's why you ended up at the bottom -- you got the last awarded player.

This week, HOLT had the most rounds awarded so that is why HE is at the bottom. The top 7 guys
had no waiver requests.

There is no waiver wire change for any drop/adds after Wednesdays waiver run.

Does that answer help?

Judy, I just logged in and the WW order on my homepage shows:

1. Slowhand
2. Donkey Hunters
3. deepsnapper's Cowboys
4. Ref
5. Building 7
6. twilson's Milchian Magicians
7. NY Titans
8. GhostWood
9. mjd
10. TD Dragons
11. Electro Eagles
12. Da Bomb Squad
13. Thunder Bunnies
14. HOLT

Not sure if that means anything if you've set the order.

Electroman - no problemo. I've been having to listen to all that broadcaster sh^t since the loss to the Giants in the '07 Divisional game. Jones putting a slow growing cancer in the locker room didn't help either. And to think he resigned him for 3 years before last season was the killer! We're eating $10M in Salary Cap for a phantom player. ugh.

Not everyone knows Romo & Austin were on Parcell's '06 scout team when Bledsoe was the starting QB so they've been playing catch for a while. Truth is though, this preseason was a make it or break it 09 camp for Ausin. After 2 years on the IR and '08 on the PUP list, he was out of options unless he proved he could stay healthy. Guess he's off the cut list now. lol

Well He caught a TD last week after Finley (my guy) was injured and I read somewhere that he was
going to be the replacement this week. I also read that Scheffler's (the other decent FA TE) matchup
this week was not a good one so I decided to waiver for Havner and I got him.

What else can I say? Dumb luck! But I'll take it -- last week both my RB (Brown and Westie) went down
in the 1st Q and I lost one game by a few points.

Yeah Rice (FA pick up) and Harvin (drafted) are studly!

#423 Thanks Judy for clarification. I was assuming it was first round selections only, not who gets the last pick.
Live scoring question: Has anyone had a problem with live scoring of KO returns? I had NE for def on a bye and did NOT want to start Atlanta against New Orleans, so I picked up Miami just for the start this week. Miami had 2 KO returns and they do not show up in the preliminary live scoring. Will the points show up later?

Bad loss for the Phils -- Smart play by Damon -- In all my years I have never seen that play before.
Philly commentators did make the remark that a single/walk/HBP from Lidge always means a guy on
second because he cannot hold runners on and they do not even bother to try to throw them out...

Maybe our bats will wake up tomorrow -- that is the bigger issue... we need innings with rallies and

I do not follow the Phillies during the regular season, but during the Series, Manual has made some strange moves. He can almost get a pass on not starting Lee in game 4, but not for leaving Lee in long enough to let the Yankees get back into the game. Also why did Manual leave Ibanez in left field as better fielder would have caught that ball? The TV commentators pointed this one out.

Not sure about that defensive move and Victorino was obviously NOT HAPPY about it. His finger
was swelling by the moment and maybe they figured he could not throw? I would have left him in
center and put Francisco in left. Ibanez got to that ball, he just had his glove in the wrong place -
- it would have been an awesome play if he had caught it...I am also thinking he left Ibanez in in
case we needed his bat. Victorino has been awful at the plate...

Howard needs to step up soon... He looks lost at the plate although I have to say that he has been
the victim of more than a few high/outside third strike calls.

This series is not over yet...

rushes in his last 2 games. Ben's newest big play threat.
James Jones-#3 guy to the highest scoring QB in this

Electroman-It was painful watching the Giants' defense let Rivers drive 80 yards for the SD win. The only way that it could have been worse would be if I had gone to the game. My daughter was sick, and I did not feel like going to the game by myself (I have season tickets). Adding insult to injury the SD scoring drive cost me about 4 FPs in our league. I think that I will root for your (and Judy's) Eagles tonight as I really hate the Cowboys but have no such antipathy towards the Eagles.

Yeah -- that was a pretty boring game -- no flashes of anything anywhere. Neither team really
"won" that one.

I thought the refs stiffed the Iggles on the ball spot both times.

McNabb did not have a good game -- again, although I give Andy credit for trying to run the ball
more... Where are the deep balls and crossing patterns and screens -- I didn't even see them
called. Kolb'l be gone in FA long before McNabb gives it up.

Turnovers, that is what the difference. 10 points off. The second pick was underthrown, and the first, well Maclin should have caught it. Very close, and boring game. I'll give the Cowboy coaches credit, they did their work and noticed tendency's, Brown biting on double move, and the first have they would throw to #85 on blitz's. Very frustrating. But once again, McNabb missed too many open recievers, that could have been big plays. Westbrook not being there was big also.

There is an item in FF that I call schedule luck. It can explain a lot about how good your team is, or how unlucky you are. Obviously, if you are high scorer for week you will win, and if you are low scorer you will lose. But what about the other weeks? Here are some stats for first 9 weeks:

LOWEST WINNING SCORE BY WEEK:
#1 134.48 Ref
#2 126.74 Thunder Bunnies
#3 102.26 NY Titans
#4 99.96 Slow Hand
#5 116.14 Ghost Wood
#6 141.60 Ref
#7 122.14 Donkey Hunter
#8 122.16 NY Titans
#9 113.84 Deep Snapper

HIGHEST LOSING SCORE BY WEEK:
#1 139.74 T Wilson
#2 144.00 NY Titans
#3 160.98 Thunder Bunnies
#4 136.18 mjd (2 games)
#5 130.74 Da Bomb
#6 149.48 TD Dragons
#7 147.20 T Wilson
#8 144.48 Deep Snapper
#9 166.48 Holt WOW!!!!!

PLAYED LOWEST SCORER BY WEEK (pts)

mjd - yeah cincy was pretty servicable, though they were starting to slip at the end of the game.

what's funny (and by funny I mean that it pisses me off) is that I cut Tampa Def (20 points) for Cincy (18 pts). Couple that with me cutting TB's Greg White (7.5 pts) after trading for Andre Carter (1 pt) and I'm eating a big fantasy tampa bay sh1t sandwich special.

sometimes you just can't win. or is it, most of the time you just can't win?

TE Vernon Davis said the offense should have their way with them in Week 10. "I think we can destroy their front," Davis said. "The guys up front, I think we can destroy them. I don't see anything spectacular about their front line...Their linebackers, I think we can handle them pretty well. I like DL Adewale Ogunleye. I like the way he's playing up front. He's about the only player I like on their defensive line. I think he's doing a good job."

I wish he wouldn't talk so much. The less he talks the better off he and his fantasy owners are going to be.

Twilson-I am watching the end of the NYJ-JAX game, and if you were not following it, it ended in a very interesting fashion. JAX was on about the 9 yard line, and Gerrard handed off to MJD. In order to get the ball back with enough time to come back and score, the Jets defense tried to let MJD score. However MJD gave up the TD by taking a knee on the 1 yard line allowing JAX to kick a FG as time ran out. Smart football play but terible for his fantasy owners.

My beef with the spot it that the ref was behind the player, so it was a judgement call, he just gave him where he landed, instead of where he secured the ball, which was before he landed. But it would have been hard to move anyways.

Above is a repost from LAST Monday -- guys, this has got to stop -- don't any of my players know where the end

re: 520, post 519 is correct. If you juggle the ball you cannot be awarded forward progress. The ball gets placed where he comes to rest on the turf. The official saw the bobble and even signaled it. He saw the play. So he was in position to call the play. Everything about officiating is a judgment call. Replays confirmed that the spot of the ball was accurate. Hard to have a beef when the play is accurately adjudicated and the official got the play right based on seeing the entire play. So post 518 is inaccurate as to "geting jobbed."

Maybe my team got jobbed as I put my big play guys on the bench for this week on a hunch. I would have had over 200 points. Nah, I'll take full responsibility for my mistakes. Something I wish many others would do instead of finding someone else to blame things on like officials, teachers, principals, deans, coaches or whomever else they choose to blame when someone doesn't excel the way they wish or is penalized for breaking rules.

yeah my chances of getting in on W/L are very very slim. It's all about the points.

for the record, I think Belichick made the right call. just guessing on the %'s, I'd put Belichick's move at about 75% chance to win. if they get the 1st down they win, if not they still have a chance to hold Indy. The alternative was to punt and try to stop Manning and crew. What would the odds of that be? 40-50%? Not sure but it has to be lower than 75%.

524: No, you're an anti-Colts fan. I'm stating a rule and an OBJECTIVE POV.

527: The odds of losing if you don't go 2 yards is about 85% If it was 4th and inches that's one thing--but two yards? The odds of winning if Indy has to go 70 yards is a LOT greater than 15%. I think it was more arrogance than fear of Manning, but seeing how he just shreaded you the time before--they are both things that will get you into trouble! ;)

I am of the belief that too many coaches punt on 4th and short. The math says you will make it most of the time and more worthwhile than punting. But not making it will get you fired and that scares coaches. But 4th and 2 on your own 28 with 2:00 to go...I'm punting the ball.

Faulk touched the ball about a yard past the first down, but he bobbled it and got control about right at the first down marker in the air. And then he landed about a yard short. He was being tackled the whole time. They should use that film to train NFL referees, if they did such a thing...lq.

Up until that point, the Colts had 13 drives that resulted in 4 TD's.....31%. Plus they only had 2 minutes left. A lot of things can go wrong in a 80 yard TD drive, even for P Manning.

I can't believe #26 just intercepted a pass for a TD. This thing was over.

re: 530 That's a great site. But you should read farther down where it suddenly turns out to be the wrong call with more factors figured in. BUt still, there are so many uncontrolled facets to a NFL game that you can't really use pure NFL avgs.

I mean let's factor in that the Colts have given up the fewest point sin the NFL this year. That the Pats have given up the 3rd least. Let's talk about how Manning has 1 time out to drive, what 80-70 yds or more? The NE punter was so good that a fair catch was the likely result anyhow. Let's talk about how 3rd and 2 NFL avg is 52%. 2 pt coversions is 2 yds and is less than 45%. Pretty tough to believe 4th and 2 is actually a true 60%. How often is that because a team is down 2 TDs and are forced to go for it and the D is playing prevent D?

Manning hadn't been on his game and was woeful for much of the night but he was great in the 4th and that had to be going through Beli's mind. 'Hell we haven't stopped them the whole qtr what makes me think we could stop them now?'

But let's think about this...Even if NE makes the first down, they can't run ot the clock. They still have to punt w/o another first down--albeit with between :20-:40 left. Also, even if NE doesn't make it and Indy scores--there is still a chance that NE has enough time to get down the field and get a FG. More factors that weren't even considered into the equation. What about the home crowd? Manning/Wayne or Manning/Clark factor? Just not as much of a given as say a baseball batting average or a basketball FT%. But let's face it, if the Pats make it and win the game then he's a genius. He loses the game and he's a dunce. Comes with the territory.

The Giants' defense has been playing so poorly that I made what on paper seemed to be a smart fantasy move. I benched the NY D, picked up Detroit's D and started it against what had been the worst offense in the NFL. This resulted in a loss of 7 FPs as NY's D netted 5 FPs and Detroit's -2. Too much thinking!

FROM GURU:

This is a good time to reiterate our rules for the Playoffs, including limitation on roster moves.
You may want to begin positioning your teams for this:
Playoffs
8 teams
Top 6 W/L records are seeded 1-6
Top remaining total points are seeded 7-8
Teams with equivalent W/L records are seeded based on head-to-head first, then total points
Bracket is fixed (no reseeding after each round)

Players at the primary skill positions (QB, RB, WR) and team defenses may not be added for any
reason during the playoffs. Free agents at these positions will be locked out after the final
regular season game. You may drop a player at one of these positions, but once dropped, that
player cannot be added later.

Players at the other positions (TE, PK, IDP) may be added or dropped according to normal
regular season guidelines, subject to playoff claiming priorities, if applicable.

Following the final regular season game, priorities will be reset based on playoff seed, with the
top seed getting the top priority. Thereafter, throughout the playoffs, priorities will again adjust
only when a claim is awarded.

If a playoff game ends in a tie score, the team with the better seed shall advance.

IN ADDITION:

We will run the following championships:
1**) PLATE SPECIAL for the first round losers of the Championship bracket. Winner of that
finishes in 5th place.
2**) 3/4 PLAYOFF - for the semifinal losers
3**) REGULAR CONSOLATION for teams ranked 9-14. Three winners plus the top scoring
loser move on to a semifinal matchup.
4**) 3/4 CONSO PLAYOFF - for the conso semifinal losers

It looks like MFL has added a ton of options for playoffs, so it looks like I can set them up any way I want!!
It was fun to have a chance to be involved up to the end and to see how your team matched up with those
still in the Championship bracket.

I hope you will all want to participate.

I always thought fantasy leagues should require 1QB, 1RB, 1WR, 1TE, and 2 flex (RB, WR, or TE) in starting lineup. NFL teams do not use 2 RBs on many plays, so I don't think fantasy teams should be required to start 2 RBs.

Just finished watching the Grey Cup up here in Canada, the CFL championship. Sask. against Montreal. Sask lost the game because they had too many men on the field when Montreal missed the game winning field goal. Then they made the FG on the next try. I can't watch that league, it is such a farce.

B7-Will finish 1st unless he loses his last 2 games and NYTs win both games.

NYT-1st if wins last 2 and B7 loses last 2, based on head to head.

2nd if wins 1 game in week 13.

3rd or 4th if loses last 2 games and Ghostwood and Twilson win their last 2 , based on head to head.

TD (11-13) and HOLT (9-15) are holding onto playoff spots #7 and 8 with their total points for scores. They
are actually 3rd (TD) and 4th (HOLT) in TPF. TWilson is #2.

I am in a tie for 3rd place with my record, but 9th in TPF, so I need to win one game this weekend ( vs NYT or
mjd) to make the playoffs for sure. If I don't, then it is all dependent on what the others do -- kinda like the
Iggles last season, but I think my chances are better. I hope I get in, I am tired of being in a 7/8 slot but losing

Re: 587-I like the parameters of the draft as they stand. Requiring 2 QBs and not having flex positions, makes drafting as well as picking up FAs during the season much more difficult. This helps to eliminates parity with weaker managers and rewards managers who put in their due diligence. This may seem a little harsh, but I think that it makes the league more competitive and more enjoyable.

This is the last week to make certain changes to your rosters.

Consolation folks -- no roster changes allowed. What you have at the end of this week is what you've got!

Winner's bracket folks -- You cannot add QB, RB, WR or DST. Once you drop a player no one else can have
him.

PLAN ACCORDINGLY

The only thing that I see that I would like to possibly change in RIFC would be the QB points, 4 fo a TD. Here is why. A kicker makes a 40+ FG, and he gets 4 points for a score that counts a 3 points, then if he get 50+, it is 5 points. It is worth more for 3 than 6 points. Yes the QB's get passing yardage, but it just irks me a bit. Or you just make FG's 3 points, no matter how long.

re 588, I wish there was a way to use O-Linemen, maybe use O-Line team units, similar to Defensive team units? I'd even use punters if I had a good way to do it. would definitely be an experimental league, and i don't know of any fantasy sites that provide the stats categories needed...

as far as RIFC goes, I favor leaving it as it is, just for continuity sake. if you're only required to start 1 RB then the value of RB's is obviously devalued quite a bit. 2 rb's is pretty standard.

I don't think that there needs to be a drastic change in the way things are done here. It is pretty competitive, and you have to be on your toes all year. Everyone probably has minor issues, but we are all here every July or so when the league starts, so that is a good thing.

To be honest, the league is a little too easy. My team is not very good yet I'm still doing ok. There are very good QBs, Ks, Ds, IDPs, etc on FA wire. People load up on the harder positions because of the volume of good players at the other positions. This hurts trading as well. I'm not saying the league is bad at all. I like it. Just don't have to make many tough decisions. For some reason I always stink at WR in this league.

For McNabb, I hope he makes Avant his primary receiver but to otherwise have a QB rating of 25 or less. The Titans need one win or one loss by you or Twilson to finish in 2nd place. For RIFC I would like to see 1-QB, 1-RB, 1-WR, 1-TE and 2 Flex (but not same position). I would also then add 1 more roster spot. I would like a little more bench. I also want to include KO returns and punt returns for Def team points.
However, I would like to emphasize that I do not really want to change RIFC too much. I like the league format and scoring in general.
I would also like to try a PPR league if someone knows one.
Minor point but I would like to find a league web page that allows us to use different lineups for either game of a double header. Otherwise, I did like MF, but some people had some problems on Sunday morning.

This is the number of Defensive and Special Teams TDs scored. It includes Interception Return TDs,
Opponent Fumble Recovery TDs, Blocked Punt TDs, Blocked FG TDs, Punt Return TDs, Kickoff Return TDs,

"Saints WR Robert Meachem not only scored the tying touchdown in the final minute of regulation, he also made the game's biggest momentum-changing play at the end of the first half. Drew Brees had just thrown an interception to Kareem Moore, when Meachem came across the field, stripped Moore and returned the fumble for a touchdown to tie the game going into halftime."

None of our offensive players really lit it up. For me, I only had Colston's 1 TD; Harvin's was a
garbage time TD. Favre's INT's kinda balanced out the fact that McNabb DNP the 4th Quarter.

You never know what the GB TE's will do since they seem to use both Lee and Finley. Very surprised
that DB Hall did not have a better game vs the Lions.

I saw that Hartley pickup in the transactions -- never heard of him and then he goes and gets you 15
points!

At least we are both in the playoffs -- I think!

TPF for 7/8th.

This is what I think it looks like:
B7 20-6 or 19-17 or 18-8
TWilson 16-10
NYT 17-9 or 16-10
GW 15-11 or 14-12
TB 15-11 or 14-12 or 13-13
E'man 14-12 or 13-13
ref 14-12 or 13-13 or 12-14

Well I'm 13-11 coming into this week. I could go 2-0 with a big game from GB Def or lose them both. So 15-11, 14-12 or 13-13. I'm in 5th place coming in so looks like if I beat Elctro, I've clinched top 6. I'm behind him by 10.3 points, He has Crosby and Hawk and I have GB D. I am 23.24 behind B7 and he has no one left. My WRs failed me again.

After last week, on 3 really had a shot at the 7/8 with points, TD, Holt, and Electro Eagles.

TD and Holt pretty much have those spots locked up. Right now, TD has 3568.20 points with no players left. Holt has 3556.56 with 1 IDP left to play. My team is too far behind and 3502.96 with an IDP and K left.

The real battle is for the 5/6 spots. Me, Ref and Thunder Bunnies. One of us will be left out.

re 631, I was watching that Electroman. Looks like I managed to avoid disaster, unless something really bizarre happens tonight.

That 54 pt lead I have on you is really only a 27 pt lead. I'm expecting a good game from Ladarius Webb though; should get plenty of KO returns against GB and plenty of opportunities to make defensive plays. Wouldn't be surprised if the Ravens completely implode tonight.

I am not so sure about that. Ref and Bunnies are both 13-13 and the next criterion is H2H and Ref was
above Bunnies last week with identical 13-11 scores...I just checked -- Bunnies lost to Ref twice (once by

For Twilson and NYT, their H2H is 1-1, but TW leads in TPF so he gets second.

So for the Big Boys RIFC next year it is B7, TWilson and NYTitans, plus the winner of champs if it
is not one of those teams.

CONGRATS GUYS!

mjd is also 13-13 but he was 1-1 with both ref and bunnies but behind them in TPF, so "no"

I will set it up today and place it and the conso on the home page.

For conso it is 1 v 6, 2 v 5, 3 v 4 which gives us three winners and so we re-seed adding
the loser with the highest point total for the semi's.

Hixon is all returns but at leat we know it's sure points. Need to think things through. I usually ahv a "go for it" mentality and hope for an offensive TD but we shall see.

will be re-seeded after the first round -- three winners plus the high point loser. I think it goes
winner with highest points plays the loser.

Averaging less than 130 points per game just won't get it done in

RE {649} mjd --

Luck is such a big part of this -- remember Bunnies analysis mid season? My team only
has 0.8 average points more than your team does. Because of a one point loss to Ref, TB
finished 8th instead of 6th!

You did have quite an extended losing streak though. Remember last year when YR had
that long mid season losing streak?

I am surprised that I survived my second half collapse and made it in. Started 10-4, finished 4-8. Lost one of my RB's 3 times in the first Q, went 1-5 in those games. And lost 2 games by under 2 points combined. Like you said, luck is involved, and someone has to be unlucky I guess. Happy to be in, but I hate the matchup. BAD NEWS FOR REF; GOOD NEWS FOR BUNNIES

FROM GURU: Head-to-head should not be used when there are more than two teams tied. The
tiebreaker in that case is strictly based on points.

Bunnies = 3426.40
ref = 3396.96
mjd = 3366.88

I don't know what to think about what is about to go down. Total points seems more fair, but when you break down the difference per game, TB scored 1.13 per game, 2.26 per week more than Ref. But Ref scored 56.56 more points in the two head to head matchups, but one win was by 1.7 points. At first, I would be tempted to go TP, but when you break it down, I think the H2H might be the way to go. But put me in either situation, and the situation I would be in would seem the better one.

If you have looked at the RIFC thread, you will know that the decision is to use H2H as the
tiebreaker, so the current playoff scenario stands. As someone who lost out on playoffs for two
years due to the TPF, I can sympathize with Bunnies.

In the end, as Bunnies showed us with his midseason analysis, and as the real NFL teams show us
each week (esp this year with the missed FG and in game injuries), winning and losing can be a
matter of dumb luck.

Good luck to everyone. We have a very full playoff schedule and so you will be able to see how you
woulda, coulda, shoulda, matched up with the other teams each week.

My opinion is that it doesn't matter which we choose as the tiebreak. But if we choose to go H2H in a two-team, then it needs to be the same with three teams. If we're going pure points-for as a tie-break then forget the H2H altogether. I would have ruled the same way Guru did--even if it meant losing out on the playoffs for my team.

Now if I can just figure out which combination of players to use, I could cause some problems for my opponents. I know I put that crystal ball down somewhere...

Fantasy football is rough. My brother got knocked out of the playoffs in a money league on the final play of the Monday night game. He needed 2 teams to lose so he could get in, both were down by half a point before the last play of the game and it looked like he was in, all he needed was for Flacco to avoid a sack or int. Of course, Flacco got sacked.

He also lost a game this season in that same league on a Thursday stat correction. I guess that unless you totally dominate a league, you have to be prepared to take your lumps.

Valkyrie -- I think it won't work as we do not have rosters for your guys so there is no way to
do the points. Plus the team slots are a pull down menu, so it only lists our teams.

I saw the issue in the thread -- what happened? How could a site not have playoffs?

My first year when I did not know about live scoring, I made up a spreadsheet so I could enter
data and calculate points, but I cannot find it now. I probably tossed it. That is one possibility
but it would take a lot of work between now and tomorrow. And I was just doing my team, not
8 teams.

If I can continue my rant against the refs, they call 2 illegal contact penalties, one was very ticky tack, but they call it, against the Eagles. Then Celek has a Giant drapped over his back, and they let it go. I know that this league is run by money, and this will sound crazy, but I would not be surprised if the NFL tell refs to call Indy, Dallas, and NYG different than others. Wow, I thought that I was going to have to have a huge game from Gore, because I wasn't expecting much from the 49ers D/ST.

Also, the 7/8 teams show that those spots are well deserved by points, and that it was matchups that were the problem this year.

Congrats to TD, HOLT, Electroman and Titans for moving on.

Remember, B7, Twilson, me, and Ref, there is a plate consolation, so we will play next

Playoffs are now set again.

In the consolations, since Slow and DBS already played each other, DBS, as the high scoring loser,
has to switch brackets and play mjd.

In the Plate Special, the brackets stay the same so the top two losers play each other as do the
bottom two losers.

We will be able to rank teams from one through 12 based on playoffs so stay alert and put forth
your best lineup!

Ref-I'll tell you how to stop the player notifications, if you will tell me how to get the Giants to play defense. The game against the Eagles was painful to watch from the point of view of a Giants fan as well as an owner of their team defense. My chances of winning the playoffs are poor unless NY starts to play some defense.

Go to your team page and follow the link to contact information to change player notifications.

Entertaining game. Garrard is actually more frustrating to watch than Mcnabb, at least he throws them at the feet.

Also, Garcon has 4 good weeks, and I decide to start him in back to back weeks, and he does squat. I think he hurt his hand tonight. At least Clark is a monster.

Sorry for the pickups guys, Total confusion on my part. Initally, I didn't think I was still playing based upon the playoff rankings in #650 and no mention of a consolation bracket in later posts.

TMK, I was out after week 13. I got an email after week 14 showing I played myself, and I assumed my season was over. Judy sent me an email earlier this week saying I was playing for final consolation "seeding" which I wasn't aware of, so I went thru my roster and had a brain fart on the kicker Rackers (out) & RB Betts (out). I would've replaced Betts earlier as he went out like week 11, but I was so far gone, it didn't think it mattered.

Didn't mean to mess anything up, just didn't realize I was still playing and still can't see a matchup with anyone anywhere. I apologize for the pickups.

Christmas has also made the last few days a little busy. Good luck to everyone in the semi's.

Sorry to interrupt, but how many people set separate line-ups? I've played in RIFC for several years and I can't say I've ever used different line-ups. I guess I could if I thought I had to take some chances on injured players to beat someone with a higher expected score, but that seems fairly rare.

It's for when you can't decide between 2 guys so you play
both and hope that one if them gets you some decent points!
Otherwise you'll probably pick the guy who gets none while
the guy you left on the bench goes haywire!

I would use different lineups every week. Instead of spending time figuring out the optimum player, I would just use both. We weren't allowed to do it it this year. In past years I did bad, but this year I did good. Different lineups didn't work very well for me.

If you have Player A who consistently scores 6 points and Player B who scores anywhere from 1 to 20, I could see starting Player A against an opponent you expect to score 110 pts, and Player B against a team you think will score 160.

I would use two lineups every now and then, mostly with WR and IDP. There are a lot of true coin flip decisions, and if one guy is going to score 3 pts and the other is going to score 13, I wouldn't mind the ability to hedge my bets and start both of em so I can at least get the average points of the two.

No, I am watching my 2nd team, the NY Jets (formerly the NY Titans). In reality my team did not deserve to advance to RIFC 2010. My 3rd place finish and advancing to the playoff finals was more a function of lucky match ups than the quality of my team.

PLAYOFF LEAGUE

I set up a playoff league for RIFC folks through MFL in which each player gets used once
throughout. I've set it up with 1 QB, 2 RB, 3 WR, 1 TE, 1 PK and 1 DST. As far as I can tell,
we can have as many teams as we want. I set the scoring to match the RIFC set up.

Do we want any IDP's? I was thinking of 1 DL, 1 LB and 1 DB??? Chime in with thoughts. It
might make it too "messy".

If you want an invitation, my email is listed.

Thanks to all for a great season! Congrats to Electro and the others who are moving up. Don't remember a worse fantasy season but at least I managed to make the playoffs--even took down the league's reg. season champ for the 7th place game...oh boy. Bad breaks, bad drafting and, most importantly, bad managing doomed me.

I gotta admit that MFL site wasn't as good as I thought it would be--but it was still better than AOL IMO. I did like the program where it talked to you when someone scored. I could be on a different site and hear, "Touchdown, Adrian Peterson" or whomever else was playing against me that week. The site wasn't that intuitive either. I like the CBS site much better but for the price MFL was just fine.

Although I had a pretty poor season I really enjoy the competition and camraderie in this league.

As always I'd like to thank Judy for her outstanding work as the commissioner, It's a big part why this league is so great. It's a big job and I really appreciate the effort it takes.

Happy New Year to all; and to those of you that aren't actively kicking my butt in hoops we'll see you on the boards.
