1. What was your plan/strategy entering the draft? Were you able to execute as you had planned?

When I picked the 12th spot I wanted to try something different. It was a different type of year I felt. I figured I'd try not drafting a RB in the first round. Not being a big fan of the QBs this year I decided to go with someone who had a history of producing, with little to no end in sight (Randy Moss) and then go RB-RB-WR-QB.

I waited for a QB by a round by going after a IDP in the 5th. Well let's just say I got everyone I projected at those spots, so I REALLY like my team. If someone had fallen to me, I might have taken them, but really my first 6 picks were planned.

2. What were your favorite picks? Which do you wish you could do over?

Favorite: Round 8: Greg Olsen. I think he's going to have a monster year. A lot of experts are predicting a big year, but I think a record or 2 could be set.

Do over: Uhm, wait a round for a kicker? I might have picked someone other than Brackett and Macklin, but I think they'll have good seasons.

3. Looking over all of the teams, which ones do you like the most (other than your own)?

Everyone seems extremely balanced. Valkyrie seems to have a good team with solid RBs and good IDPs. Wolfer's team looks really good, and PV always seems to field good teams. This is going to be a very competitive league this year, and I think everyone's got a puncher's chance.

4. What surprised you most about the draft?

That all of the players I targeted fell to me, and how some of the better IDPs were available fairly late in the draft. I felt like I should have just kept drafting IDP and then try trading them for depth that I'd need.

5. If you could start over, would you do anything differently?

Simple answer: No.

Long answer: I might have gone with a RB in the first round (Slaton) and gone with a WR in the 2nd (Andre Johnson?) I doubt one of the top 3 WRs would have fallen back to me though, and that was my goal in the draft. Since that happened they way I went, I wouldn't change what I did.

Question 1 & 2 sort of combined.

To have a first round pick that actually plays the whole year. I think in past years I've had LT (who was injured most the year) and Steven Jackson (who was injured most the year). It would be nice to have a year where my main RB is healthy.

Definitely like getting A. Rodgers as QB.

Question 3 Mine of course! I think I'm solid in every position. I maybe wished I had a better RB3. Only weak position I feel is TE.

Valks team is appealing to me. Donovan has weapons and is healthy this year. Two solid RB's. Farely good WR group. Maybe a little light on IDPs?

Fricks team has potential with all the youth. One big problem is, only 3 WR and 4 QB's?

Question 4

How damn long some people took to make picks. LOL j/k Tree picking Romo over Rodgers was the only one I can currently think of. Was surprised Rodgers fell to me.

Question 5 Not really, I'm actually pretty happy with my team. Perhaps I should of jumped on the TE run, but figured WR's and RB's were more important at the time and I think there was some nice IDP's still on the board.

1. What was your plan/strategy entering the draft? Were you able to execute as you had planned?

I took the last spot knowing that I wouldn't be taking a running back with either pick. I had planned to go WR/QB or maybe WR/WR. I probably could, actually should, have gone WR/WR and accepted the fact that I might have gotten one of the 2nd tier QBs. As it was, I kept putting off the WR position and it isn't as strong as I would want.

I think fantasy owners have been slow to accept the fact that NFL teams are going more and more to the RBBC approach.

2. What were your favorite picks? Which do you wish you could do over?

None stick out.

3. Looking over all of the teams, which ones do you like the most (other than your own)?

The teams are very closely packed together, until injuries start to hurt teams, I don't see any favorites.

4. What surprised you most about the draft?
The speed and lack of queue usage.

1. What was your plan/strategy entering the draft? Were you able to execute as you had planned?

The basic strategy was to get 1 TE, 2 QBs, 3 RBs, and 4 WRs in the first 10 rounds, draft defenses and my DB late, and get value however it showed up in the draft. I think the right pick to make in each round was pretty clear-cut early except for round 4, so that made things a lot easier.

I think my team is solidly built, with work needed to get a solid RB2 after week 3. I think my WR/TE corp is a strength and will give me an advantage nearly every week.

2. What were your favorite picks? Which do you wish you could do over?

Loved getting LDT in round 1 and Gates in round 5. Got some players that could way outperform their draft pick late such as Caddy, Michael Bush, and Harper. Getting Fred Jackson in round 9 I think will by me valuable time for other situations to sort out.
I don't think Ward in round 4 was a bad pick, but it's definitely the one I'm second-guessing myself on the most.

3. Looking over all of the teams, which ones do you like the most (other than your own)?

One thing I've learned is that the only bad pick is an injured player or someone that 99.9% could have been gotten by the same manager in a later round. I didn't see hardly any wasted picks early so I think everyone's got a shot.

That said, Promize has a team that looks solid and is positioned to be a title contender. According to the FBG rate my team app, Tree, Jaydog, and Kyle's teams all look like playoff bound teams as well.

4. What surprised you most about the draft?

LOTS of surprised in this draft from my perspective.

- The early QB run that saw 9 QBs off the board by 4.02. Amazing stat: after the 4.02 pick, 9 QBs and 12 WRs had been selected (along with 23 RBs).
- As a result, top TEs slid much farther than normal. I didn't plan to take my TE until round 9 or 10 but changed based on value available.
- Drafting was still fairly RB-heavy even with the increase in RBBC. There's a disparity between teams with a solid top 2 at WRs and those that aren't, and I don't think the slight improvement from the early RB2s is sufficient to overcome this.

5. If you could start over, would you do anything differently?

- If I had known how the picks were going to shake out, I would have taken another WR in round 4 and gone with my second RB in round 6. I wouldn't make any other significant changes as I love how my team is put together.

1. What was your plan/strategy entering the draft? Were you able to execute as you had planned?
At #13 you can't have a strategy all you can do is react to what has been done. That said I certainly didn't want to go RB,RB, RB as I believe that is an old and losing strategy in today's environment but that is how it shook out for me. I also didn't plan on taking 2 QB's 4th and 6th. As a consequence I had some depth but was behind on WR's and IDP's all draft. We'll just have to see how my DB's and my 4-3 unwanted MLB's work out.

2. What were your favorite picks? Which do you wish you could do over?
I guess Slaoton was my favorite pick until he just lost his Red zone carries yesterday. After that Schaub round 6, and NTG defende #8 and maybe Shockey #11. I don't really have any picks I hate yet although I am not really ecstatic about any of my WR picks.
3. Looking over all of the teams, which ones do you like the most (other than your own)?
I think we are going to have a lot of parity but at first glance my more favorite teams are Promises, Kyle's except for QB and then maybe Tree.

4. What surprised you most about the draft?
I think Brees going round 1 and the relatively early QB run surprised me a little. I also was surprised at the depth of the draft in that I think I was still getting decent players with a chance to contribute through all the late rounds.

5. 5. If you could start over, would you do anything differently?
I don't know- maybe pull a draft pick in the top half of the draft, at 13 you don't dictate anything. The thing I like the most about my team this year is that unlike other years there is no one single player that could get injured and destroy my team, I have decent depth at QB and RB, and a plethora of equal mediocre talent at WR and IDP- ( I think my IDP's will be 5-6 th in the league and my WR's maybe 9-10th.) I expect my season to depend like everyone else's on injuries but then on my ability to select the best WR's and IDP's on a weekly basis. I feel I am strong at the peripherals, kicker (top3), TD (top 3) TE (hopefully top5?), my QB's and RB's will hold their own with anyone. I have high expectations of making the playoffs.

1. What was your plan/strategy entering the draft? Were you able to execute as you had planned?

My plan is pretty much always the same - Take a RB in the first round and best available in the next 6 rounds. I generally was able to execute the plan, though round 3 left me in a bit of a conundrum.

2. What were your favorite picks? Which do you wish you could do over?

I really like getting Chad 85 in the 4th round - seems the last few years Ive gotten great value in this round. Everything else pretty much went as planned. Beason might be a reach if he doesn't come back for week 1.

3. Looking over all of the teams, which ones do you like the most (other than your own)?

Always hard to say because it is so dependant on injuries. So far there's been no critical injuries in the preseason so everyone is pretty even going into week 1.

4. What surprised you most about the draft?

Big surprises in the draft early. Between my 2.06 and 3.09 6 QB and 6 WR went off the board, which threw off everything I felt I could do in the next three rounds. This wasn't necesarrily a bad thing as i got value at other positions, but I had never waited so long to get a QB as I did in this draft.

5. If you could start over, would you do anything differently?

I can't really say I would do anything different. I've been doing this a long time and I know what to do when the draft throws me a loop, so I figure I am solid going into the season.

1. What was your plan/strategy entering the draft? Were you able to execute as you had planned?

Believe it or not, I never have a plan going into a draft other than to maximize value on each pick. I feel I did that and did not reach on any picks sans Percy Harvin and as a result of that, I should have a solid team contending for a playoff spot come seasons end.

2. What were your favorite picks? Which do you wish you could do over?

For my team: Matt Forte @ 1.03. The rest of the picks were pretty much on par with their ADP.

What could I do over? Drafting Torry Holt instead of Percy Harvin. I salivate at his potential...but after taking a step back to look at it...Torry Holt made so much more sense. Here you have a guy who is gonna get a couple big plays and return kicks...but won't give you the consistency of 4-5 catches a game, 60-70 yards and the occasional TD, on average.

For other squads: I love Torry Holt at 8.08, Hasselbeck @ 9.09, Glen Coffee @ 20.09, & Heyward-Bey @ 24.09.

3. Looking over all of the teams, which ones do you like the most (other than your own)?

Pancho Villa - Solid Starter in Big Ben, 3 Backs who will get touches with Gore, Rice, & Benson, 2 #1 WR's and a solid TE. However, there will be a couple weeks that the Seattle offense could let him down. I question the Stewart Bradley pick (torn ACL) but finding a IDP LB is certainly doable on teh waiver wire.

gurudan - 2 solid QB's for fantasy football purposes (remember, Thigpen produced at a top 10 level when he started last season). 3 RB's who can produce, 2 every-down WR's, and odds are that 1 of his remaining 3 will produce to be a viable flex option. IDP's look to be solid.

The Beezer - Great value in Garrard. Very thin at RB. Hopefully his gamble on the Tampa Bay backfield pays off. Getting Williams that late could be the difference for his squad. Torry Holt rounds out the receiver corps and has solid IDPs.

Kyle321N - my favorite QB (Cutler - not necessarily the best in the NFL), 3 starting runningbacks, solid WR corps as I think Bradley will surprise some, a top 3 TE (yea my Bear bias is kicking in), and arguably the best IDP's.

4. What surprised you most about the draft?

Nothing ever surprises me, except when it comes to AF or PD in the G24 draft (sorry guys).

5. If you could start over, would you do anything differently?

As mentioned above, Torry Holt instead of Harvin...
