I don't like the Royal Rumble appearance bonuses. Too random for me. Maybe the elimination points could all be made positive-----just for being included----and scale upward for lasting longer.

Agree with Mike D on the elimination points - otherwise, somebody not being picked ends up better off than somebody that was.

how would being in the rumble hurt?
unless you enter 21st or later and get eliminated in the first 10 for example you can't lose points. You basically break even at worst just for entering the rumble.

Farn is right: you can't get negative points, so all in all I think it works fine. I was also thinking to add a +2 bonus for every wrestler who eliminates someone else, what do you think?

If you get +5 points for being 21st to 30th entry and -10 points for being eliminated 1st to 10th, you would get -5 points, and the wrestler that didn't make the Rumble gets 0.
Unless I'm missing something.

I "think" you are right, but I've referred the matter to PGunn.

if you enter 21st and get eliminated in the first 10 you should get negative points. Anybody that bad should be penalized.

Farn, I agree, but not more than the guy that didn't get in period. That is what my whole comment is about. Somebody not making the Rumble gets 0 points. Somebody in the Rumble should not get negative points.

nah, don't like that. because then a main event guy NOT in the rumble loses points because he's in another match....

If he enters for 21st and goes out for 10th, then he deserves to lose points! :)
What about my "elimination points" idea?

BTW, it just occurred to me how weird it is that no one gets points for winning the intercontinental title, since it doesn't exist anymore. :o( i hate VKM.

What happened to the hardcore title? I don't remember the exact name, but Mankind/Bossman owned it most of the time. Each time it was up for grabs it was a NO HOLDS BARRED match that goes all over the place. That was the best!

i saw a Mankind/Bossman Hardcore title as the Main Event on Raw one night. Worst in person Main Event I ever saw.

The hardcore title was won by RVD against Tommy Dreamer some months ago, and included in the Intercontinental Title. Same thing as the European, won by RVD against Jeff Hardy. Then RVD lost against (if I remember right) Chris Jericho, who lost it against Kane. Last, in a title vs title match, HHH unificated the World Championship with the Intercontinental.
I think that whole thing sucked, but it's just me.
Another thing: I thought it's not fair to actually have, let's say, PGunn get more points (zero) than someone who loses a match at a PPV. What can we do?

Thanks. Real happy getting Angle. He can do it all, literally. So at #5 I'm thrilled. I like Tree's pick, since Austin is supposed to be back anytime.

Angle was originally my number 2 guy, behind lesner...Batista and Steiner were also up there, so Austin eased into the spot...

Man, it wasn't a hard pick, just look at who mainevented the last 2 PPVs :) Anyway, I've always liked the REAL HBK, 96-97-98, while I really don't like the actual version. But you know what, he'll give me a lot of points :) Another choice was my favourite guy, Chris Jericho, but he loses too much on important matches to be a #1 pick. I hate seeing Angle on #5, he'll be the superstar of 2003, sure.

no, you're like my assistant at work. she loves HBK too...because he's cute... :o)
on sleep, i'm the same way. normally my gf walks the dog on the weekend and lets me sleep in, because she knows once i'm awake, i'm awake, even if i only had a few hours sleep...but, since she's ill, i took the reins, nice guy that i am.. :o)

Seems to me we'd be best served to keep it simple as possible. I have no objection to the rules you guys have been toying with, but who's gonna keep score?

It won't be hard to keep the score, there are just two shows per week and a PPV per month.

Nevermind, I was under the impression we only start 5 wrestlers and have 3 bench spots. I meant if PGunn was drafted he must remain benched until he was due for a match. That way they couldn't start PGunn (an automatic 0) instead of somebody that will probably lose a match. But it isn't that way...

i think we have 8 spots, and you can change week to week, but THREE must be on the bench, and you have to decide by noon on sunday...isn't that what we decided?

Personally, as I just said on the other thread, I think that 6-2 or 6-3 are better options.
