- The Santino Marella interview was taped so no points awarded.
- RVD's interview was taped at Backlash last night.
- Cade and Murdoch got just the 5 points total for the combo of announcing/entering the ring. That's standard as its all one promo.
- Vince got 5 for being on the platform after the match; he advanced his ECW storyline so 5 points seemed in order
- HBK only got 2 points for being laid out. Its policy not to continue to give points for a promo that is interupted by a commercial.
- Only Cena, Vince, and Coach got points for the promo involving HBK laid out.
- In the Flair/Carlito vs. Benjamin/Haas match, the referee never had the bell rung or counted anyone out. Its quite visible on the tape. That said, I gave all 4 No Contest points.

Re:Shane I see 2 for the backstage vignette, and 5 I assume for the promo hyping Umaga. Should there be another 5 for interfering? or minimum 3 "valet/appearance" points if we determine he didn't really interfere?
He didn't physically get involved, but did interact and distract the ref a couple times, to the point where the ref threatened to have him ejected. I could really go either way on that as he didn't touch RVD, but he was Umaga's manager regardless. Also hopped in the ring after to taunt RVD with Umaga, so its all part of the same deal I guess.
Turn points for Carlito?! Just kidding.

Re: Shane
Could be 5 for interfering. Honestly I had trouble paying attention last night so if he interfered plus 5. But I don't think he'd get the 3 valet points. If I read that rule right you only get those 3 if you didn't do anything else at ringside. Well, he did the intro so no 3.

Yeah, it would be 3 OR 5. One or the other. I think he certainly did more than just hang out. And caused enough distraction to where the ref threatened to eject him. He just did't physically touch RVD, so there was some debate.

I'd like to debate the Santino Marella interview interpretation. While it certainly "looked" pre-taped, the show hyped "The first live interview with Santino Marella" multiple times, including JR hyping it verbally while a graphic on one of those RAW "Skycraper" deals.
I'd say it's worth 2.
The RVD tirade had graphics showing 'from Backlash' all over it so that one seems conclusive.

I could see giving 2 for Santino/Grisham... regardless of how obvious it was they taped it before, they tried to sell it as happening right then.

that's more than fine with me. It was hyped as live even though it was obviously taped.

i disagree, a taped interview is just that. We have never made an exception to this before, i dont see how we do now.

well here's the problem wiggs..... it was advertised as a live promo and they pretended it was. as knowledgable fans we know its not live but they advertised it as is.

We have absolutely made that ruling before. Did we give points when Cena through Edge into the lake? or in the courtroom scenes where Vince was the judge? or all those stupid DX skits last year?
These were all clearly taped in advance. But obviously they are presented to the audience as being live and really, how are we to prove otherwise?
Hell, I bet half the backstage vignettes are taped in advance. I wouldn't be surprised if they filmed them earlier in the afternoon so they could have a couple takes to choose from.

Partially off-topic, but always "on topic" for me since I lust after her......
....but the funniest part of last night's RAW was at the end of the Maria/Edge segment where Edge shoves the end of the microphone into Maria's cleavage. Classic!

It's easier for the scorer if you list the new TOTAL score. Less margin for error than putting an addition and making me add it to the up top number......it's a volume thing.
