- JR jerked the curtain. He also appeared but not as a commentator so he got 5.
- Kane and Noble were originally given 2 points because their promo was backstage. When it ended up in the ringing I upgraded it to 5. They don't get both though as it was one long promo.
Wade +12 Anthony +12 (both local jobbers)

the standings chart includes the scoring of NOC, which is still being debated.

nice job of moving the belt to Punk. Let's give him a run before we move the belt to Batista or Cena.
Is Punk's night the largest total for any non PPV show ever? He gave Bobo a huge boost.
man, last night the ROH message board exploded. the ROH chat room exploded.
*my* computer nearly exploded when i literally got 25 IMs within a second or two.
it was like the IWC - specifically ROH fans - all won the WWE World Heavyweight Title. this truly was one of "ours" winning, a guy we believed in for such a long time who we watched grow up in the business and work his way up from the "low minors" into becoming not just a star, but *THE* star.

Ya know, I read that gold confetti was falling from the ceiling in a pre-show spoiler. So... do you think JBL was supposed to win it and just use Punk as a transitional champ? And they changed their minds?

and hey... maybe now they'll let the guy cut a damn promo. We've been saying since before he debuted that he was one of the best promo guys you'll ever hear, and yet they hardly let Punk talk or they script the crap they give him.

one more... How about the fact that ROH's most legendary fued is Samoa Joe vs. CM Punk 3 epic matches (two of which went to a full hour draw). And now they are the two champions of the biggest two shows in the business only a few years later. Thats pretty amazing.

dude. you want to do a champion's role call?
WWE World Heavyweight Champion: CM Punk WWE Women's Champion: Mickie James TNA World Champion: Samoa Joe TNA World Tag Team Champions: Homicide and Hotstuff Hernandez
and if you want to add to it: GHC Heavyweight Champion: Takeshi Morishima
all are former ROH wrestlers, and all played significant roles (with the exception of Hernandez, who had less than 10 matches).
In fact, Joe, Punk, Homicide, and Morishima are ALL former ROH World Champions.
whichever one of you mooks made the comment about wrestling in gyms, well those guys who wrestle in gyms now represent big time pro wrestling - so don't dismiss it.
man, it is really cool to actually say "hey, i know the WWE World Heavyweight Champion"...

Props to your boy Tree for making the big time and being THE man on THE A-Show in the business!! That is just off the hook. Maybe him and Maria had a one-nighter last night to celebrate for old time's sake. Mmmmmmmmmmmm I love Maria.
Oh crap! Maria's on Smackdown! Hey! I wonder if they moved her to SD just to keep her and Punk apart?!???
I definitely want to see some of this Punk promo magic.....but you guys talked a lot about his ability to promo as a heel. What kind of promo can he give as a face Champ though?!?

Maria has been missing for awhile, I actually even dropped her. She does playboy and then disappears. Weird.

Yeah... he's better as an angry heel. So he needs to maybe side with Y2J vs. Batista/HBK and get a little of Y2J's heel heat he's got going right now. Actually that may be the way to turn him... Batista's obviously going to want a title shot since he'll say he did all the work on Edge.

to me, while Punk is a great promo guy, he truly excelled in backstage vignettes...
here's one of my all time faves from OVW, when the Spirit Squad tried to recruit him:
here, also from OVW, Punk won't back down from Brent Albright:
and then, finally, as he cuts a backstage promo on Shad:
his ROH promos will be hard to find on a site like Youtube.
