So can everyone chime in on if you thought the ending round waiver PPV processing includes the regular season PpV finale?
I feel like I noted it that way in the Waivers thread with ***asterisks and footnote but it is not really clear so definitely open to interpretation.
The rules in the regular scoring thread are from before we had these playoff segments so needs to be clarified.

Hmmmm I'm on fence. It's not really noted clearly but that's ok in this league because we've always voted to clear up any muddy stuff.
Honestly I thought the waiver super bowl rule only worked for the playoffs. Didn't realize regular season was an option. If we are casting votes I'll vote No to regular season super bowl waiver process just due to it being unclear.

Well I'll vote ending round waiver processing included the reg season ppv because that's how I interpreted it.
Side note what's with the flurry to get this Mike (Bennett) Kanellis guy? The gimmick seems horrible and made me want to change the channel. Was he a big deal in the indies or Tna or something?

Yes, Bennett is pretty good in the ring. He was the leader of The Kingdom in ROH and skipped NXT for a reason. In the grand scheme this pickup has little impact because neither of us can likely keep him anyway and probably won't even wrestle for a good while while they promo for the summer. So this is a good thing to bring to light an unclear rule. Also, damn yeah, gimmick looking rough at the moment.
Well lets break it down and kill 2 birds with one stone.
1 - Based on the rules written (poorly :) was their a 6 PM processing for (A) regular season AND playoff rounds or (B) just the playoff rounds? 2 - For next season and beyond - (A) regular season AND playoff rounds or (B) just playoff rounds

1.) Well I thought it was only 6pm when it was a ppv week right? If that's the case, A. (Only during that short window from Saturday and Sunday leading up to the ppv. The rest of the time it's the standard 24 hour wait to clear.)
2.) A.

Bennett and Maria's gimmick seems to be a carry over from his Miracle persona in Impact but he never got over there as Maria had a more successful run in TNA/Impact as a character than Mike did.
I believed the rule to be 3 total regular season finale/semi's/finals
1) A 2) A

This doesn't make any sense. It's not 6 pm when it's a ppv. It's 6 pm when it's a ppv during playoffs. Rj's post makes no sense.

The rule was created because of “weeks” that were PPV like the one we just had. “Week 11” was just the PPV as a way to end that session and start a new week the next day.
The need for the rule was to clear up how the 1 move max rule would work between “Week 11” and the traditional Week 12 for this example.
So we picked 6 PM so that claims would finalize – and you could then could still execute a roster add/drop between 6-8 PM and add someone for Monday of the following “week”.
As Wiggs states – it is NOT for all PPVs. Just for when the PPV is all by itself. Which is only end of regular season (this debate), end of each playoff round (definitely).
But it’s definitely not perfectly clear whether its regular season AND playoffs.
I did asterisk it in the schedule as a round ending waiver processing, which I thought was pretty clear. But then it also specifically has the word Playoffs in there.
The rule below is in the opening post of the Waivers thread.
It’s also in the Scoring thread, but more specific here from Waivers thread because we didn’t have this head to head round setup when the original rule was written.
Week 10 – 6/12 RAW/SD *Week 11 – 6/18 PPV ONLY *Trade Deadline = Regular Season Finale
*Round Ending Waiver Processing 6 PM roster processing of any pending claims/trades day of this event. Playoff round ending PPV's - all pending claims will process at 6 PM before the PPV. If you want your new wrestler scored you must set a new lineup before the respective PPV's start or leave instructions on the board or via email for us to implement.
This counts as your one move per "week" aka Roster Freeze period regardless of you complete a claim earlier that same week or using the 6PM buzzer

Because it's really just poorly written and the intent was to help process all single show "week" PPVs. Seeing how everyone seems to be voting along those lines it's apparent the majority interpreted it that way as well.
So we will go with just playoff ending PPV this time and all single week PPV shows in future seasons.

It actually used to read that way. I took out the specific PPV name so I wouldn't have to remember to edit every season and forgot to make that part of it generic.
Trade Deadline = 10/28 Hell in a Cell PPV with a 7 PM roster processing of any pending claims/trades day of this event. Same for the playoff round ending PPV's - all pending claims will process at 7 PM before the PPV. If you want your new wrestler scored you must set a new lineup before the respective PPV's start or leave instructions on the board or via email for us to implement.

It doesn't really matter I don't see mike Bennett starting for either of us. This was just a situation I didn't like happening because I thought it was wrong. We can let the vote play out. Just think it should be a clear rule.
I know u said everyone interpreted it that way. Well Rj said he thought it was every ppv so he really didn't understand the rule at all

I'm gonna weigh in as one the longest tenured league members...
To me the rule makes it clear it was meant to be for the playoffs. It specifically says so. So to me it should haven't been processed at 6pm. That said the horse is already out of the barn. At this point we probably can't take him off GO's roster. So in this case we are stuck. But to be clear the rule was stated as playoffs, whether that was inadvertent or not.
People seem to be voting as though they think he goes to GO. This league has always gone with votes so that's how it'll stay.
As far as the future, I'd prefer to see the rule only be used for the final regular season PPV plus the final PPV of both playoff rounds. Nothing else.
|
44 | GO
ID: 565491620 Wed, Jun 21, 2017, 22:51

Well I don't agree we can't take him off my roster. My view is the claim isn't finalized yet while we clarify.
It really comes down to how to view this thing. If we are following the exact way its written in the current waiver thread, then he belongs to Wiggs.
But the clear from the way it was written before (post 39) that it was supposed to be for all of the single week PPVs. That got lost when I tried to change the language of the rule to make it more generic, so I didn't have to update each season. So its essentially a typo.
I do know there seems to be consensus (and the original rule) that agrees it will be used for all single week PPV's going forward. We've established that much so that is progress.

So we'll go with "way its written" for the past PPV situation.
And we'll go with the way it was intended going forward. And I'll write something more extensive for future seasons.

Congrats to Zyre, not sure there was any combo of wins i could have had last night to make up the difference after Corbin collapsed at the end of the season. Not sure whose cereal he pissed in but somebody is not happy with him.
Also he winds up 12 points short of my top scorer and causes me to lose my favorite guy Finn who I spent almost 3 years waiting on. And lose in one season.

Sorry to see Nailer go, we've had a long run of steady team ownership since Tree left.
I do have a new guy lined up to take over, so thats good news.
Farn has discussed leaving. I've asked him to stay on a season and just play without scoring and see if he has more fun. Thinking the scoring has just burned him out. Side note. Hoping to find a RAW scorer. I'm not sure it would be as easy to find a second new owner.
