Somewhat OT but is anyone planning to watch AEW when it comes out? I haven’t really followed a lot of those guys but I always liked Cody in WWE.. and Jericho and Neville are big signings. I’ll probably give at least a couple of shows a try myself.

If anyone looking ahead... and with new news KO might not return until after WM -- I have Ziggler, Lars and KO potentially for sale for people currently scoring.

Former WWE Champion Dean Ambrose officially informed World Wrestling Entertainment yesterday that he would be leaving the company when his current deal expires this Spring, PWInsider.com has confirmed.

The news that Ambrose had given notice was first broken overnight by the Pro Wrestling Torch.

PWInsider.com sources have independently confirmed that Ambrose was offered a new, five year contract worth a little over seven figures per year, but turned the deal down. The news that Ambrose had given notice had been kept very quiet during last night's Raw taping but began to spread among wrestlers after the show was over. One source categorized the move as Ambrose being able to "do what he wants" as he doesn't live an expensive lifestyle and has made great money over his WWE run.

Ambrose signed with a WWE developmental deal in 2011 and was brought up to the main roster as one-third of The Shield in 2012. He's been a featured performer his entire WWE run, but was out of action for an extended period following a triceps tear that required multiple surgeries in 2017 and 2018. Ambrose returned to WWE storylines in August 2018 and had been embroiled in a feud with Seth Rollins in recent months. We are told that last night's Raw match was designed to close the story of that feud.

While Ambrose was a popular talent who worked main events on house shows and was extremely popular, he was never a pushed star as the centerpiece of the company in the same vein as a Roman Reigns or John Cena, but held the WWE title, the WWE Intercontinental Championship, the United States title, The Raw Tag Team Championship and has been involved in a number of major angles and storylines.

PWInsider.com is told that Ambrose is currently expected to close out his WWE run in April or May, but was cautioned that the company could always attempt to come back with another offer to lock him in for more money or a shorter-term deal.

Ambrose was eliminated from the Royal Rumble over the weekend by Aleister Black to give a rub to the NXT star. WWE appeared to begin a story with Nia Jax and Ambrose last night, although whether they pull the trigger on an actual intergender match between the two, remains to be seen. If they do, Nia is surely going to be the victor.

With Ambrose expected to leave, at 33 years old, he would certainly be the most in-demand wrestler on the open market. With New Japan and AEW as possibilities, plus independent and signing dates, it's even possible Ambrose could make more than he was being offered by WWE to remain. As of today, he is heading towards the WWE exit door.

WWE announced this evening that Raw star Ember Moon suffered an elbow injury during the Women's Royal Rumble match and will be undergoing surgery.

The injury may have occurred during a spot where Alexa Bliss nailed a standing moonsault onto Bliss, driving her knees down upon her.

Moon noted that she doesn't know how long she will be out following surgery but "it will be awhile."

When scoring the Rumble this year I realized we never defined who gets the main event points. We say for Battle Royal its last 25% which is 7.5 wrestlers and too much I think to get main event PPV 20 point bonus.

Thoughts? just set it as final four of Rumble? final six maybe?

Also, we give out an extra point for Rumble elimnations, i think we should crank that up to +3... you eliminate 5 dudes, that should be like 15 extra points.

Thoughts?

I like the idea of the final four in the rumble getting main event points and I like your idea of three points for each elimination.

I give my word I have no idea how many of my guys would qualify when I say this but...

For this year we should try to make it final 25%, or maybe final 7. That way we still honor the rule that existed during Rumble.

Going forward I'd say a Final 4 absolutely makes sense. They always seem to make a big deal about the final 4 guys so it seems like a good cutoff.

And I'm in favor of upping points for eliminations too.

If anyone is interested in trading one of their female competitors in the elimination chamber that is on SmackDown let me know as I've got a second-round pick and Nikki Cross to trade for such a lady wrestler.

Also if anyone wants to trade a male competitor in the elimination chamber pay-per-view depending upon who it is I have a first-round pick or second round pick and Ethan Carter III available in trade if you want to do this before the trade deadline passes.

Should we come up with some kind of point system for “unnecessary drama”? Public breakups, cheating on spouse with another superstar, DUI, etc? We could really push scores higher and get this to become a 7 day a week league.

the drama ask fact is going to be totally subjective in most cases so we'd have to determine how something counts to be scored for instance I just read something about Corey Graves in trouble with his wife because he got busted by her having an affair with Carmela but how do we determine if that's going to count for example?

I had something I wanted us to consider for season 40 regarding the women's singles championship belts, I know I am an over-the-top supporter for the women's side of WWE but I really feel like at this point the way Lesnar has denigrated the title The women's belt that Rousey has is equally as important for the company as Lesnar's belt is so I think the women's belts raw and SmackDown should be point wise the same as the titles that Lesnar and Brian Danielson currently hold. The the way it looks like it's going is Rousey Lynch Charlotte is going to eventually headline and main event this year's WrestleMania so in many ways it's currently the most prestigious title WWE has being defended.

With the women main eventing this year, you make a good case to put the winning women’s belts at 50 and in line w/ WWE/Universal scoring (starting next season of course) I’ll second.

Samson needs to call up or cut Aliester as he’s reached the points threshold.

With preshow starting at 5 pm need to bump up the waiver line... i am thinking we should make round end processing 4PM for all PPV playoff round ending claims.

I can't imagine a preshow ever starting earlier than Wrestlemania at 5pm.

4PM for all playoff round ending claima going forward including tomorrow?
