I remember the day I saw Star Wars Episode III. It was a great movie, but the thing that sticks out the most is that it was the first time I heard about the coming release of The Chronicles Of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe, which comes out December 9th.
The Narnia books were my favorites growing up. I haven't really gotten into Harry Potter or Lord Of The Rings, but I am already looking forward to Prince Caspian, which should be the second movie (since it was the second book).
Is anyone else irrationally interested in The Chronicles of Narnia? |

Uh huh.
If they go the full 7, the order should be interesting, as I recall the stated order was not the temporal order. sequence?
And don't forget, Aslan died for your sins.
Scooter Libby should have asked "What would Aslan do?" when perjuring himself for scumbags, and saved himself some soft time.

re 1: Growing up without any hint of religion in my life, I didn't make the Christ connection until well into my teens, after reading the books multiple times.
Fantastic (in both senses) books, regardless of the Christian overtones. Lewis was a thinking Christian, not a sheep, and they are infinitely more pallatible.

I agree, bili. I remember when my pal broke it to me in High School that the Chronicles of Narnia were Christian allegory. I was devestated at first because I loved those books and was a devout Anti-Christian. Haha.
Now I don't care about that anymore. I still love the stories and intend to see the films with my daughter. If I have some time soon, I will re-read the books, too. What a refreshing and imaginative series those stories are.

A good story is a good story. Although I still haven't seen that Mel Gibson movie from a few years back...

Imagine not finding out until you read this thread. I don't remember much about the books, but do remember liking them as a kid. I doubt I watch any of the movies.
