I think I've listened to Era Vulgaris more than anything this past year. I can't stop.

Agreed---I listen to their first alum a lot----"Regular John" is an incredible rock song.

Does anyone know if UNIDA did their reunion show or not?

I love QOTSA, and saw them live last year. I have all of their albums and all of Kyuss' albums. Great to see this thread...only took me two years to find it ;-)

I just revived it! Thought we could all use a little DESERT ROCK a la QOTSA, KYUSS, UNIDA, etc thru the hot summer days!

I have a large collection of live recordings of these bands.

Nice one, AC...confirms your moniker must be about Layne. I saw AIC 3x recently, albeit without Layne (and once with....way back at a Lollapalooza in the early 90s).

An alternate version of Kyuss's Whitewater out in the desert.

The GP concept is a classic. Only wish I could have been there to see one of their desert shows! SU's Link

A little behind on this, but 3's & 7's is one of my favorite QOTSA song along with Sick, Sick, Sick. The new album is just old school rock and roll. Wailing guitars, driving drums, and vocals to kill for. Era Vulgaris really delivered for me.

That is one of the most interesting, somewhat disgusting music videos. I love it. Whenever my friends get together for Rockband and we have the select 3 or 4 songs yourself sets we always go with all QOTSA. I'm not quite as good a vocalist as Josh Homme tho.

Here's a great Kyuss interview. Talks mostly about Welcome to Sky Valley. It's really unbelievable how young they were when they made two of the greatest albums ever.
