Thought I would take initiative and open up the new forum with a hot topic right now.
Halo 2.
I am considering buying an XBox pretty much just for this game. I played it a little bit at my buddies house - but wanted to get opinions of others who have started playing already much deeper in. (though if you have it I would be willing to bet you won't see this thread because you can't pull yourself away from your tv... :)
So - those that have played it - can I get some more thorough reviews? Thanks... |

Hey great One,
I have played it on (altho the french version) It is good I enjoy it as much as the first, Although after playing the first one you could perhaps tend to feel it is more of the same .. but i guess that is why people would buy it..!!
Graphics are great, new weapons (power sword is my favourite, some weapons you are allowed in a dual fashion such as the needler, plasma rifle and the machine gun sounds bbrilliant at 3:00 in the morning throught he monster stereo have dual subs blazing away, it is also fun playing from both sides .. Master Chief and the Arbiter..
there are other good xbox games out there, just depends on wht you like. the Hitman stuff is good splinter cell etc etc ..I also use my Xbox as a DVD player ... let me know if you want more info

I thought Halo was an above average game. Not a world beater by any means, but I'd give it an 8 out of 10.
I've played Halo 2 for a total of about 2 hours (maybe a little more), and its already a 10. I don't care if this game plays like Qbert for the remainder of it, I love this game.
I just started playing as the Arbiter and running around with that giant sword is worth the price of the game by itself.
I can see why you'd want to buy a system just for one game or a genre of games because that's exactly why I own a Gamecube (wrestling games). If you're getting an XBox, Halo 2 is a must-have as is Halo: Combat Evolved and Fable.

Im getting beat up by the young players for the past week!!!
Ref is on there, Im on there!! Live is awesome!
look for me on there next week, Im a easy kill since Im just too old to get all the buttons straight ;)

Played and finished Halo but have yet to jump on the Halo 2 bandwagon. Looks like a pretty good game but i'm not sure how many more 1st person shooters i can take? After a while they all look the same.
Anyone play the newest version of Half Life?
