Just curious what kind of pets everybody has. I love my dogs as members of the family. I currently have a 4 yr old miniature pinsher and a 2 yr old Vizsla. The minpin is your typical loveable lapdog(my wife's mostly) and my vizsla is a wild little firecracker who has her junior hunter and is currently working on her versatility certificate. Oh and I also have an 80 gallon reef tank...

I'd post pics if I knew how. What kind of pets does everybody have?

I have no pets.

To post pics, set up an account on photobucket.com, then upload your pictures. You'll then be able to cut and paste HTML into this message to get your pictures to appear.

I have 3 cats.

Had a poorly bred cocker spaniel that sadly had a lot of health issues so we had to put her down....the poor thing. If I got another dog I would get a husky like Cliff had (love those dogs), a german shepherd or your basic lab.

I wholeheartedly endorse photobucket (thanks JeffG).....even I was successful in using it.

I have a 9 year old doberman that pees on the bed, has cancer, and is in liver failure. Other than that, though, she's doing fine and is as spry as ever.

2 cats, altho one is not with me at the moment and I'm afraid after 2-1/2 weeks she is so mad at me that she is no longer my cat. :-(

1 dog: Boxer-ridgeback-pit-healer-? mix. 4 years old and crazy. She was well trained when I was sole-master, I swear.

4 cats: My wife is a vet. We collect cats she's supposed to kill. My favorite is named Greg Sanders.

Pure-breeds have too many health problems, almost by definition. There is such a thing as genetic diversity, and it's a good thing. Ask Queen Victoria.

I have 2 Vizslas Nova and Ceasar. I would love to post pictures to show you, but I dont know how. I love my vizslas and would never get anything else. Where do you live? Anywhere near NY. If you can post how to put up pics I would gladly share. I think I have about 10 to 12 pics that look exactly like the one with the 2 pups.

at the very end of the image url (right before the >) type " width=300".

Make sure there is a space between the end of the url and the word "width".

Adjust the number to whatever size suits you.

Wiggs agreed, nothing but V's for me too. My wife wanted the minpin because it fits her lap better. Our first dog was a minpin we "rescued" at 4 weeks old and he was my wife's support during her breast cancer treatment. Unfortunately he died suddenly at 2.5 years old of heart condition(he was the runt). My wife had to have another minpin and I've always wanted a Vizsla, so we compromised and now have 2 dogs.

This is actually my second V. The first was hit by a bit** driving to fast in my neighborhood when she was 2.

So, Wiggs, do your vizslas do any hunting?

We've got 4 mixed breeds from shelters, although one looks to be a pure-bred pit bull. A couple of rabbits as well. No cats (even though my son loves them) because my wife is allergic to them.

BTW, my wife and I were long-time supporters of Petfinder, started in the living room of a couple of our best friends just over 10 years ago. A great place to find pets.

I currently have one cat which I live with, he kinda found my wife and I one night during a rain storm, my soft hearted, then girlfriend at the time fell instantly in love. Pretty cool as cats go, very personable and not your normal independent sterotype cat. Also I have a dog, who lives with the wifes parents, cats are ok in the apartment but not dogs. She is a pure bred austrailian cattle dog, or sometimes refered to as a blue healer. She is a little turd because she is still a puppy, but I am sure in a year or so she will grow out of all those annoying habbits.

no hunting, nova is the reigning agility champ in out town and C is a canine good citizen dog and a therapy dog. My wife takes him to the local schools for the kids to play with and read to.

Have a dog, but only part time. Its my in-laws dog but they have a dinky yard, so he's always at our place to play with the kids. "Sam Sam the dog dog dog" came from the local pound. Just some mixed mutt. Big as an ox, they said he was a mix of Bernese Mountain Dog, but he looks like a big old lab mix to me.

I think his best quality is chasing the tennis ball about 3 times then saying screw it and curling up in the way-back of the yard for a nap.

I have a five year old Golden Retriever. Loves fetch but would rather be inside following my wife and I/watching us watch TV than be outside by herself. I grew up in a cat house, and assumed I was a "cat person," until my parents broke down after my sister's griping about getting a dog and took the plunge on an australian sheperd/lab mutt. I have been a dog person, big dogs in particular, ever since.

My dog is half Siberian Husky, 1/4 Great Pyrenees, 1/4 Timber Wolf. Animals that cross the border of my backyard beware! You will join the ranks of the fallen!
