0 Subject: Going to Europe for 3+ weeks

So I'm flying into London on Sept 26th and I have to be in Florida on October 19th for a wedding. Don't really have many set plans so I'm looking for suggestions. Pretty sure I'll be in Munich for Oktoberfest the 5th-7th but other than that I'm pretty open.

I like doing outdoorsy stuff and HATE waiting in lines. I've never been to Europe but I do plan on going back. Also, would like to hit up Amsterdam for at least 2 days or so. I'm 26, single, and love beer. Help!

Needless to say Amsterdam is a very fun place...

Amsterdam is a great place to take a train to other places in Europe...I really enjoyed Brugge Belgium...if you love beer Belgium is the place.

Have a good time...Europe is really incredible...great food...mostly friendly people...some things about the cultures there that I really prefer over the US.

Agreed on Belgium and beer.

My favorite city was Venice - there really aren't any cities like it around.

I've never been to Europe myself, but my college friends went on a big trip there a couple summers ago. Apparently Interlaken in Switzerland is a great place for outdoors / adventure type stuff (rock climbing, rafting, bungee jumping, etc.) and also to meet people in their 20s (I could be wrong, but I think two of the really popular hostels there were Funny Farm and Balmers?)

I would spend at least a day in London. The Tower of London, British Museum, Parliament, Buckingham Palace are all worth a look.

Barcelona is a beautiful city if you get a chance. The old part of the town is wonderful to walk around in, and (being on the south like it is) the weather is usually very nice.

I hear the south of France is amazing--in particular the French Riviera and Nice.

When in London do the Big Bus and get the bus tour that has the live dude speaking instead the one that has the recording.
You can jump on an off the bus throughout the day...and it goes by the Hardrock cafe...Ticket is also good for 24hrs. I did the red route (which does the roundabout route that Chevy Chase did in European Vacation).

Covent Garden is stacked full of pubs and is very busy at night.
Piccadily Circus is also incredible at night. Just jammed with people.

Try to get a Curry or Vindaloo while you are there. Interesting, I went out for Indian one night and we could bring our own beer into the restaurant.

Spain is a must! Try and get off the beaten path if you can. Madrid (the Prado museum) is also another place not to miss.

London was pretty awesome. Never realized how many recognizable sites there are there. Also, Kronerberg on draft is heaven.

Just arrived in Edinburgh. City looks pretty amazing from my walk from the train station to my hostel.
