The show is going each day thia week starting M and ending this Sun, when the final winner is guaranteed a jackpot of over $1 Mil.
There are 2 interesting things about the format:
1) The sitting leader gets to choose the person who he/she will go against, one out of 3 alternatives, who have part of their life history read and make a short speech.
Obviously the incentive here when up as one of the 3 for choice is to look as dumb/irrational as possible. The Chinese-American woman last night picked 2 women to duel against. She said it was because she "wanted to see some woman go all the way and wanted to see all womern up here". Personally, I believe that she chose those 2 women because she thought them easier to beat.
2) There is strategy in that you can cover possible right answers with chips. You can challenge your duellist (giving him/her a counting-down period of time to pake the pick).
If you know an answer, (for example, the last question was "What was the state created in the Civil War", and you know the the answer "West Virginia", you put one chip on WV and challenge your opponent.
