Let's hear what you think, GO!
I almost waited on my I-phone to see how it was.

I liked it a lot. Easy to navigate, good clarity, full keyboard. I've always liked everything else Google has made, so the company has good credibility to me. They also showed me the shopping application that scans a bar code and then shows you comprable prices elsewhere. The future wifey liked this idea. And I can get it for 139.99 through my work discount... and the internet/data plan is only extra 25 bucks (limit 400 texts, but I don't text so whatever). It all comes down to breaking my Sprint deal. Negatives... didn't have a video recorder for some reason. I've read some places that is something they can add via updates on the phone. No headphone jack -- does have a mini-USB which you can use a headphone adapter, so not a breaking point by any means. There is a white version supposedly coming very soon... I'd like to hold out for that one cause its different and looks pretty cool.

Good Review One thing that seems good is the way they plan to keep adding and updating things, as long as its not a hardware issue (i.e. not having a headphone jack) then it seems they can provide updates as they go along to add a video recorder, or add Bluetooth voice dialing etc. from the article -- The G1 made calls with our mono Plantronics Voyager 520 Bluetooth headset but couldn't successfully pair with our stereo Motorola S9 headset. You get voice dialing, but you can't trigger the feature with a Bluetooth headset; you have to tap an icon on the phone.

Here's another good review.
I didn't know that the G1 was Linux-based and open sourced, which I think is genius. I'm certainly no programmer, but I've always loved the way things get created on open sourced platforms, oh, and the fact that most of these things are free.

I've got it, I love it. Its great. Done. And yes, I can set Yahoo Fantasy lineups on it. Praise the lord. Shop Savvy bar code scanner has been ridiculous... scanning stuff for days to check prices! and it still has all the sweet apps that iPhone has too (ID a song on the radio etc).

I didn't want to start a new thread, so I will just tack onto this one. I am in the market for a new cell phone and would like to stick with Verizon as my carrier. For the first time, I will be switching to a data plan.
My question: Anyone out there own the Blackberry Storm? I have read some mixed reviews online for it, but its OS has just been updated and it that seems to have helped its performance. What about the BB Curve? It is an older phone, but would cost me nothing. The last option is the BB Tour, which was just released. Anyone think the Tour is worth $150 more that the Curve? Is the touchscreen capability of the Storm worth the bugs I've been reading about?
Any input would be appreciated. Thanks.
