Looks like we're into the new season.

24 appears on track to be better than Season 6. Which is like being faster than Cecil Fielder.

Psych is as funny as always. Might be the funniest show on TV. But who the hell names a kid Dule'? Dule' Hill is the name of the actor who plays Gus. Seriously. But this is a funny show.

The Office is fine, I guess, but it's just not what it used to be. I like Andy and Dwight by themselves, but this plotline just isn't moving me.

Friday Night Lights disappointed me. I don't think they ever filmed the last few episodes of Season 2. Nevertheless, it's back, and I guess I'm excited but the first episode didn't do much.

Gary Unmarried is a great show. I really like this one; it's the best new show in a while. I hope it lasts, but the formula doesn't make that too likely.

Also awaiting the return of Chuck which is the best show on TV.

While I appreciate most of your comments, let me be clear and concise:

LOST is the best show on TV today.

Chuck is one of the best shows on TV! Saw today that Chevy Chase is going to be on the show this season. It will be interesting to see what he can add.

24 Does look like it could be a great season. They changed enough of the main part of the show with getting rid of CTU but yet keeping alot of action.

Psych is funny. Some of the best parts of the show are the added funnies at the end.

I will watch Heroes but it has lost alot of its luster since the beginning.

What will CSI be like now without Grissom? Fishburn could be a nice addition and can add alot to the storyline.

Missed the first 24 episode, but I think I'll pass. Just knowing how guys IRL are using 24 torture scenes takes the show out of the realm of entertainment for me.

I've been watching Planet Earth on Animal Planet HD (which I missed the first time around). Amazing show.

Life and Leverage are my two favorite series right now. Oh, and The Unit.

Leverage is seriously a very entertaining show. Looking forward to the return of The Closer next week. Meanwhile, Monk is still in top form although I believe this is its last season.

I just watched the Grissom Finale yesterday, it will be interesting to see how much they change with Fishburn added to the cast. By the look of this weeks ep it will be alot different.

The biggest show i'm awaiting to come back is Burn Notice on USA with Jeffrey Donovan.

I'm hoping that Heroes comes back better than before, season 2 was alright, and season 3 was ok. But neither had the draw of season 1.

Also awaiting the rest of the South Park season, so far the Fall version wasn't all that great, it had moments, but no great eps.

Nip/Tuck is finally back, that show is so conveluted.

Not sure if anyone here ever watched Eureka, but i'm also waiting for the return on Scifi, I don't think it's supposed to happen till the summer though.

Sanctuary on Scifi just ended their season, it was fairly good for a new show.

How I met your Mother, and Big Bang are still terrific. In the begining I liked HIMYM more, but i'm leaning towards Big Bang being funnier right now.

10 Items or Less is back on USA also, it doesn't get alot of coverage but it's pretty funny, in a stupid way. Plus being in the Business it's funny to see their take on things. (Like Turkey Bowling down the Aisle!)

Damn DVR has been working overtime this past season.

King of all TV
LOST. Just tell me more about the smoke monster.
Chuck. Just don't have Chase go all Fletch on us.

The old standbys
Numb3rs. Still entertaining as always.

Watched and will watch
My Own Worst Enemy. Doubt this show is long for the world, but do enjoy Christian Slater's character.
Life on Mars. I swore they had the perfect show ender on that last episode, so this show might have legs.
Fringe. Good clean crazy dad fun.
Eleventh Hours. My wife likes it, but the female lead is just crap. Not sure if its the acting, the writing or both.
Homeland Security, USA. Wife and oldest son like this one. Interesting watch into what happens at the borders.
The Mentalist. Missed first few epis, but it is an entertaining show. For me, it might fit into the next catagory.

Watched a bit but borderline on continuing
24. I've never really watched before so don't really know the background of all these characters, so not really invested.

New to the earth
Dollhouse on Fox. Its Joss Whedon, so I'll give it a shot. After Firefly, I'm Whedon's Bitch.

Thats a lot of TV...damn.

Seems like Chuck and the Psych are getting pretty good reviews. Any idea where I can find Season 1 episode 1 online? Checked a bunch of places but with no luck.

Never seen either of these shows.

I guess my favorite shows right now would be How I Met Your Mother, Criminal Minds, Cold Case, and Law and Order, granted, I don't watch a lot of tv at all.

Good list, RSF. Forgot about The Mentalist, which my wife and I watch.

My Own Worst Enemy, unfortunately, has been cancelled. A great premise and good acting and action. I thought it might go on for some time.

I agree on Firefly. Now *that* was a great show. I've got the all-too-slim Complete Firefly on my shelf.

Chuck & Heroes come back 2 weeks from today!

Chuck is definitely my favorite show...Chevy Chase probably won't hurt that!
I thought Heroes season 3 was better than 2, but not anywhere near season 1.

There's too much on Monday nights!
Big Bang Theory
How I Met Your Mother
Worst Week
Chuck
Heroes
House (never seen an episode, but I keep being told I'd love it)

And Rules of Engagement is back on March 2 I just heard. Another good Monday night'er!

SO does anyone else think SNL has kinda sucked in the two 2009 episodes? They apparently can only be funny in election years.

I am a big fan of Chuck. Also started Life last year and really like that. The main character is a bit weird, but I enjoy it. I watched Burn Notice the first two seasons and enjoy it a lot. The Closer and NCIS are my favorite shows. I DVR'ed a bunch of old NCIS episodes and think it is just a great show. NUMBRS is good also. I'm going to try Lie to Me and Trust Me when they first come out. I've watched every season of 24 and after last year thought I was done. Through the first 4 hours this year, I'm hanging in there but it still is getting a little tired for me.

Lately I've been catching up on DVDs - The Shield, How I Met Your Mother, It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia.

My DVR schedule looks like this:

Monday:
24 - so far so good
Heroes - hilariously bad but I still watch

Tuesday:
Fringe - first half was pretty good, seems like we'll finally get some more big picture information

Wednesday:
Lost - thank god it's back
Life on Mars - really liked the first half, hopefully this show will get picked up for a 2nd season, being after Lost will definitely help the ratings

Thursday:
Office - still quality
30 Rock - funniest show on television, Tracy Morgan and Baldwin kill

Friday:
Terminator - sometimes bad, sometimes good, Summer is always hot
Dollhouse - will definitely give Whedon a shot

Fantastic season finale for Life. Charlie Crews is one of my all time favorite television characters. I looked forward to this show every week and it continued to deliver. I also like Gabrielle Union's character and thought her and Crews made a great pair. I hope we continue to see her character at least in part time duty next year.

I gave up on Heroes this season. It became too painful to watch. I had to make myself watch it and after I looked and saw I had four unwatched episodes on my DVR I erased them and took the show off my list. You know when iot starts to feel like a chore, it's time to move on.

Oh yeah, I love the Mentalist too. Simon Baker
does a great job playing Patrick Jane and they have a good supporting cast.

Final note: Kanye West is a gay fish.

I'm with you TB. Life is a great show. Crews' character is one of the best.

Heroes is a chore. It seems to have found a storyline finally. Theres only so much "non-direction" that I was going to take, but they seemed to be going somewhere now. The whole "they're caught, they're not, oh...they are again...oh...they aren't" just was lame. Season one had a reason to exist...not in 2 or 3.

I enjoy the Mentalist, but I think it could be even better. I'd almost like it if Jane had a bit more of an edge to him. Its there for the taking with his backstory, but they don't play to that. Still a good show.

I know that there are those that like "Chuck"? I hear it's seriously on the ropes and probably will not be renewed. You know, NBC has really made some serious bone-headed decisions of late and I really hope they keep Chuck (or at least Sarah...yum yum).

Remember when "must-see TV" ruled the roost? It's appalling to see where they've gone from then.

Chuck is the best show on television. I heard the same thing, but I can't imagine they'll cancel this one.

In other news, Friday Night Lights has been renewed for two 13 episode seasons. This show was once in big trouble; now it's solid for two years.

I've been watching Kings which is good, but that's the only new show to speak of. Greek and Reaper are both back, but there's not much else of import.

I do like where The Office is going right now. Good to see.

TB [17] - where do you get off saying Kanye is a gay fish? He's a genius and the voice of his generation.

Back on topic, sort of, a few weeks back I got Extras, the complete series (Ricky Gervais's HBO show) from Amazon for like $20. Definitely worth a rental if you haven't seen it.

I gave up on Chuck...other than the hot girl, the show just seemed boring to me.

Only shows that are a must watch as soon as they appear on the DVR: Lost, Office, 30 Rock.

Rules of Engagement is back and love that one along with HIMYM still and Two and a Half Men. Along with Gary Unmarried, the sitcoms are still pretty much okay. Finally got tired of Christine.

Only other new show that I have watched regularly is Lie to Me. Roth irritates me at times and seems to over-act, but it's an interesting show.

My one guilty pleasure for the season was the new Knight Rider series. Talk about hot Sarah characters!! Cheesy lines at times, but so was the orignal!

For sitcoms, Big Bang Theory and HIMYM on Monday is only rivaled by The Office, 30 Rock etc on Thursdays for me.

Sarah and Ellie!

This weeks Chuck was pretty good and it did look like they are wrapping things up to end the show, but I'm guessing Chuck somehow puts the Intersec back into his head to save Sarah somehow.

Oh yeah, if I could only pick one it would be Ellie but it's pretty darn close.

They could easily have spent 5 minutes on the wedding at the end of the last episode and had that be the season finale. I would not have been disappointed - it was that good. Chevy and Bakula are both pretty great in their roles. Seriously, this is the best show on TV. I love Psych, Reaper and some other shows, but Chuck is far and away the best.
