Here are the new ones that seem interesting:

Better With You (ABC) Weds 8:30
The Defenders (CBS) Weds 10
The Event (NBC) Mon 9
Glory Daze (TBS) ???
Lone Star (Fox) Mon 9 (Tyra!)
No Ordinary Family (ABC) Tue 8
Sheet My Dad Says (CBS) Thurs 8:30 (Shatner!)

Anything caught your attention?

No Ordinary Family seems interesting to me. I would like to think that The Event had promise but I absolutely hated how NBC ended Persons Unknown, so until NBC gets their collective acts together, I'll just hold off on all NBC shows now not named Chuck.

Covert Affairs (TBS) has already started and is pretty good.

I've seen a few places that Raising Hope will be the best new comedy of 2010. Its on Tuesday 9 PM I think.

That Shatner show will be a disaster, I guarantee it. That guy is funny when he tweets one line a week. Not for half an hour.

Anyone with a review of The Event yet?

The Chuck season premiere wasn't so great. Well, except for Dolph Lundgren quoting Ivan Drago TWICE.

Lone Star isn't going to last. It's a mildly interesting concept and I count four actors who have been good in the past, but I just can't see it sticking.

Raising Hope pilot was funny as hell, I reccomened finding the pilot episode on Hulu or something so you know what the heck is going on though.

Will check that one out. Two last night:

Running Wilde was actually really good. I signed up for a season pass. At first I felt sorry for the character named "Puddle" but then I realized there was an actress on the show who used to be called "Felicity."

The Event exceeded my expectations. They weren't that high, but still... I'll stick around - I think it's better than Lone Star.

Dang it, missed the Chuck premiere...looks like it viewing it on the 'small small' screen now.

New show that I'm interested in is 'Terriers', Wednesdays 10 pm on FX.

Hawaii Five-0, Mondays at 10 on CBS. Wife loves Alex O'Loughlin (since Moonlight). I'll take Grace Park for the win, thank you. And Jin stays in Hawaii...man.

Covert Affairs was really good. It showed 12 episodes or so.

Other new shows I'm checking out:
Terriers (FX) Not bad at all.
Undercovers (NBC) Saw the Pilot--not bad.
Detroit 1-8-7 (ABC)Havne't seen it yet--rcroded
Hawaii Five-O (CBS)Wife loves it. It's just ok for me
Mike & Molly (CBS) See above
Blue Bloods (CBS) Pilot Not bad
The Glades (A&E) Pretty good
Chase (NBC) like the USA Network In Plain Sight abt US Marshalls better but this one isn't bad

I don't know about any of those shows mentioned in the original post. I've heard of a couple but didn't look interesting. The DVR can only record 4 shows at a time and it's jam packed most of the time. Finding a lot of good shows on USA Network. Many of them are on hiatus now, but don't sleep on the cable stations as they have some great shows. TNT, A/E,FX, etc. OK, I admit the wife finds most of the shows. I'm jsut along for the ride

We've been watching Covert Affairs as well. Some unevenness about it yet (the lead character seems to forget all her training at times) but it's pretty good. My wife said during one episode something to the effect of "Sometimes I'm not following along because when they show just her I'm just thinking 'She's gorgeous!'"

And its true.

The Fall Lineup:

Chuck (NBC) Still good for a few laughs.
The Event (NBC) Liking this pretty good.
The Whole Truth (ABC) Not bad. We're not big courtroom drama watchers (Law & Order, etc.) but this one intrigued. It follows the "new" non-linear storytelling style. It'll stick for a while.
Survivor (CBS) A standard.
Top Chef: Just Desserts (Bravo) A new angle with pastry chefs this season.
Community (NBC) Very stereotypical, mostly accurate, quite funny. I shouldn't laugh, but I can't help myself.
The Office (NBC) Still funny.
Outsourced (NBC) How long can they drag this out?
It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (FX) I know it's wrong, yet I can't avert my eyes.

We tried Blue Bloods (CBS) but couldn't get into it. Gave up halfway through the pilot.

Lonestar already cancelled a couple weeks ago after 2 episodes.

Nah. I've seen the last few seconds a couple times.

Really like Running Wilde. I think that's the best of the newbies. Better With You is almost as good, but it needs a better name. Gleek My Dad Says is pretty funny, but it's almost all Shatner.

Also have Big Bang Theory and Cougar Town back from last year (plus Chuck). Both are pretty enjoyable.

Fox just picked up Hope for the full year, so thats good. I don't see Running Wilde getting the same unfortunately.

The Walking Dead series on AMC is great. Superior to any zombie movie imo due to the slower pace. Very well done.

Really liking Boardwalk Empire, had trouble getting into it at first, but definitely grew on me...

tried The Event, but just couldn't get into it, same with H5O...

Still love Chuck and Criminal Minds, but missing JJ on CM...

Tuesday nights are pretty pitiful. The best thing that I could find last night was a repeat of "The Rockford Files".

What are you talking about, Tosh, Frontline is the best television show on Earth, bar none. Last night's episode, The Confessions was heart rendering!

SZ - Yeah. I considered Frontline last night. But I was just not willing to commit 90 minutes to a 'law show', when my attention span was only about 10 minutes. :-)

Has anyone checked out "The Walking Dead" on AMC?

It's the best social commentary show since "Survivor."

They seem to replay the Walking Dead a lot so it should be easy to find. There are also only 6 episodes this fall so it won't be hard to catch up.
Here are the names of the episodes so you can watch in order and make sure you got all six -- episode guide

I was forced to sit through Glee earlier this week. I wish this song was just about singing. This show was clearly not made for me, so I don't plan to watch it again.

Saw that Terriers was axed from FX's schedule. It was a great show with a great cast. May it RIP.

Dexter was freaking awesome this year. I didn't think it could get any better after the Lithgow season. It continues to be great television.

Raising Hope was picked up for Season 2 so thats awesome.

They also moved Fringe to Friday's -- so thats interesting. If you DVR it, be sure to note the new timeslot if you need to adjust.

I am most excited about Parks and Recreation starting up again next week on 1/20. That show was really starting to hit its stride and was one of the funniest shows on TV last year. Reminds me of when The Office (USA version) had a slow start but then got rolling and then hit its stride. If you like the mockumentary style like The Office, give this show a 4 episode trial run. You won't be disappointed.
