I usually use Real Player to burn MP3's to cds and its been fine - its actually really quick and easy to throw together a cd from MP3 files... whether it be a converstion from MP3 to normal audio file or an actual MP3 disc.

Regardles, Real Player has been giving me trouble lately and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good cd burning program. My friend reccomended NeroMix but I am not familiar with it and was looking for any other reccomendations.

Thanks!

I use Nero 6 Ultra and am happy with it's features. Ripping cds is a breeze, and I've been engaged in a pretty long and involved endeavor to digitize a lot of unique items I have on cassette. That's been working pretty well, too. A ton of tools, most of which I haven't even looked at. Worth checking out - test drive your friend's version...

Nero 6 Ultra user here. Does everything, and does it pretty well.

I downloaded and use Music Match JukeBox because a previous Windows Media Player version wasn't working correctly. That problem was fixed when newer versions came out, but I still use MMJB since thats where all of my media is loaded and I'm used to the format.

But I don't know of any features that MMJB or any other media players offer that you don't get with WMP. It burns CDs fine as far as I can tell. Is there some flaw or shortcoming with WMP that I'm not aware of?

MITH,
I used to use MMJB but I got tired of all the updates. The last straw was when I started getting an update message everytime I open up the program. I also found that it was slow to load large playlists. Otherwise I didn't really have a problem with it.

Also, my Nero works seamlessly with DVDShrink... :)

easily the best part of both programs is that they work together.

GO, if you need Nero let me know and I can probably wrestle up a "test" version.

Thanks for all the reccomendations. I will give Nero Ultra a shot.

My buddy showed me a program that I thought was pretty neat too - just called Media Center. I think its just a player, but it was really nice I thought just from the couple minutes I was moving around picking songs and videos. Looking into that too.
