Subject: Survivor - Season 27 - Blood vs Water

I'm not loving anything about this coming season, but here it is in a nutshell
- 20 contestants. 10 returning contestants each bring a 'loved one'. Returning contestants include two winners (Tina - Outback, Aras - Panama), others are Gervase (season 1), Rupert (again?), Tyson and Colton (for controversy or their annoyingness), Monica (and husband former NFL DT Brad Culpepper), Kat (from One World, who brings boyfriend who was Big Brother season 12 winner)
- Tribes are split returnees and newbies, and they each immedialtely go to tribal council and vote someone out on fist impessoin before alliances can form.
- Redemption Island is back (BOOO), three oustees compete in each duel, and last place is out of the game, eventually someone (or two) returns to tribes. but with a twist in that at any time someone still in the game can switch plaecs with their loved one at redemption and have that person take their place back at camp.
- Redemption Island Duel winner gets HII clue that they can give to any person from either tribe
So many decisions, there will be plenty to be second guessed. I would imagine there is no need to use the HII until redemption is over. I imagine you will not see any one voting out thier loved one post merge, because two together as a block are very strong, until the very end when they'd want the extra jury vote or if they think it will help lobbying the jury back in camp.

The new twists this season are making for some interesting strategy.
I wasnt a big fan of redemption island in other seasons but this time it is adding to the strategy to allow loved ones to switch places.
Rupert was a dumbass for switching and getting himself kicked off the island first.
Colton lasted far too long for my taste.
Once a bigot/bully...always a bigot/bully.
Bringing a quitter back was a horrible move by the producers. (Probst claims he was against it but was over ruled.)
Breaking up the 5 guy alliance and weakening your the tribe was a huge blunder.
Worrying about Candace getting back in the game at this point was a tad premature.

Was glad to see them overthrow Culpepper. That dude had a HUGE ego and needed to be taken down a few notches. Should make for a very interesting redemption island.

Really impressed with Vytas...one of the best I have seen at manipulating people. He played that group of women like a fiddle and he did it in a way where he still has their full support. Seems like it is his or his brothers game to lose at this point. I see them teaming up with Tina and her daughter post merge.

Tyson seemed the right winner. While it seems many fans did not like his play he was clearly the dominant player this season. Held the idol the entire season, pretty much orchestrated all of the blindsides and vote outs, and won challenges when it mattered.

I think any of the three deserved the win.
They all did what it takes to get to the final 3.
Gervase ruined his chances of winning by his comments at tribal council.
If anyone else had made it to the final 3 they would have won.
The turning point in the game was when Ciera decided not to go with Hayden and Caleb to blindside Tyson.
She thought she was #3 in Tyson's alliance but found out at the next tribal council she was really #4 and had to draw rocks.
Tyson's decision to draw rocks was his best move.
His only chance of winning was if he is sitting next to Gervase AND Monica.
If Monica goes to RI then he would have been next and they both couldnt get back into the game.
