Since we've got the best comedies and movies and what not. We need a radio one.
The BEST BY FAR Radio Show is... BOB AND TOM No one else even comes close to them. |

OK, Ira.
Got any particular reason why you say that? Imagine I've never heard them or of them. Not quite so hypothetical, either.

What I'm saying: what was the funniest thing they did? I've never heard of them, Punk.
I liked Opie and Anthony well enough. They had some funny gags--and they always talked about sexual stuff.
The best thing around here is Lex and Terry. They're not very good. But they do Drunk B!tch Friday, where they get a girl hammered starting at like 6 AM on the air. That's funny.

I like "The Regular Guys" but they're just on in Atlanta in the mornings on 96Rock.
They got booted for about a year for FCC violations but are back now as of 2 weeks ago or so. Its been so boring without them!

Is Punk42AE Ira? I missed that. I liked him better when he was Ira. He must be, what, 18 now?

If you have seen the Camel Toe flash song, you have heard of Bob and Tom, they created the original song.
They also had the Albert Bell A Whole milk skit many years ago that was copied by many stations.

I don't listen to a lot of radio shows, but every time I have heard the Bob & Tom Show they have been pretty funny.

I know, I almost posted, "Thanks."
And then I almost posted, "Wow, worst post ever..."
But, it is a good thread, I just wanted to hear more about these great guys Bob and Tom. There's no rating capability, but I'd give it a 4 right now if I could. Honest, Punk.

Bob and Tom post some of their bits on their website. They don't do as much original stuff as they used to when they were a local show. Now it is more comics that come into the studio. I don't listen as much now that I can't have a radio with my new job, but they had a bit recently where Paris Hilton and Nichole Richey are in Iraq. One of the lines is about Paris thinking that you can't say Shiite on the radio, and then saying she has to go take a Pee-ite.
They have released 20+ albums of their comedy, all proceeds going to charities, some of the early ones are really in demand as collectors items.

This was my first year listening to the Smackoff.
3 hours of totally intense, great and hilarious radio.
I agreed with putting Cowboy Nation/Sean from Houston first. Fabulous call. I was happy to see Rachel from Houston finish 4th, too. I really liked her call, and her guts.
"My man" Otis from Austin stunk the joint out. Should have brought his banjo.

Mr. O is one of the best. "Long time listener, first time caller."
Prison Bitch was my very first B&T song, it got me hooked then. Plus Beerrun.

I always liked the Tony Kornheiser show. For those who may not know, he's now on a local Washington station. I don't know if the show is nationally syndicated now, but you can get it over the internet: http://www.sportstalk980.com/lineup/tonykornheiser.html

Guru - Mr Tony was by far the best talk show host out there. He used to be syndicated on ESPN radio here but left about a year or so ago. IMO he was the only sports show that was listenable.

I live in Chicago and listen to Mancow every morning. Best show around here. I think he is syndicated. Anyone else listen to him?

I catch Mancow on Fox and Friends a.m Tv but can't get his radio show.
I always listened the the Mitch Albom show on WJR Detroit on Saturday afternoons but it's been a while. Mitch is one of my favorites.
Back in the Day I used to listen to a guy name Pete Franklin on WWWE Cleveland. Anyone remember him?
I also like Bruce Williams. I've learned a lot from him over the years.

surprised not one mention of Howard Stern (and only 1 for Opie and Anthony). They are the "signature faces" of Sirius and XM respectiviely now... and Stern is currently the highest rated syndicated show, nobody here listens to him? haha... maybe they are just embarrased to admit it.
I used to think he was a moron as I just assumed the kind of material he did, but the guy I sit next to at work has him on his radio and I actually rather like him now after listening for a while... and not just the stupid stuff they put on E which is all the sex stuff to get tv ratings... but a lot of political talk (especially about Bush and the crusades of the religious nuts he is affiliated with)... He is politically unbiased/unaffiliated and thats what I like about his opinions on those subjects... hates everything Bush stand for and lies about but he helped Republicans Pataki/Whitman (and Rudy) get elected as govenor's of NY/NJ and they will be the first to admit it (Whitman even named a Parkway rest stop after Stern as a thank you)... well all that and midget strippers and Amputee Beauty Pageants!
