I've noticed quite a few references to Poker Stars over the last few months in the poker threads. I propose we get a weekly/monthly game of hold em going in a private Gurupie room. Something not too exspensive, maybe $1/$2 dollar limit. I'm not sure if PS's has private rooms, worst case scenerio we could just grab an open room and fill it up.
I would be up for either weekly or monthly, during the week would work best for me.
Poker Stars does allow for private tourneys (they take the normal rake), so thats another possibility as well. Not sure how many of you guys are on Poker Stars, but I would also be up for a $10ish NL holdem tourney monthly for Gurupies. We could enlist J to track the leaders ;).
If anyone has interest in either the game or the tourney post it in this thread. |

does poker stars allow you to deposit money immediately, or do you need to have a wait period? I play on bodog.com and you can deposit and play within minutes. Also they offer a 20% bonus on all deposits. I dont know what PS does. IF this is something that comes together I would definately be in.

wiggs, not exactly sure on the policy at PokerStars, I've only sent money once and it was Western Union, and was available in about an hour. Looking at the buy chips screen... I think a credit card, or net teller transaction could take up to 24 hours. Maybe some one who has sent money thru one of the methods could tell you for sure.

My first (and only) deposit was via Netteller, and it was instananeous.
I would be up for a weekly Gurupie tourney louky.

I play on Party and use neteller. My first deposit took 24 hours. My second took 1 hour. Now all my deposts are immediate.

I used Net-Teller when I signed up Sunday night, it took MAYBE an hour from when I first starting registering til when I was able to start playing.
I'll be up for a small game sometime and let you guys take my money, point and laugh at me :)
