Sorry - The US charts started in 1955. If you were born before this, try your life's theme song which is the No.1 on your 18th birthday

Try Again

Guess I need to check Life's Theme Song

US - I Heard It Through The Grapevine - Marvin Gaye
UK - Lily The Pink - Scaffold

the US one kicks ass - one of the greatest singers ever.

i have NO clue who Scaffold are, so i looked them up. Apparently, the band was co-founded by Michael McCartney, who's brother Paul was in some famous band or something...

they were sort of a comedy rock group, and the hit song Lily the Pink featured a guy nearly as unknown as Michael McCartney's brother, some dude named Jack Bruce playing bass.

and my life songs?

US - Walk Like An Egyptian - The Bangles
UK - Reet Petite - Jackie Wilson

considering it was the mid to late 80s when i was 18, i feel pretty lucky to have these songs as my life songs.

Both by John Lennon. Weird that I didn't become a fan until I was 16.

I know plenty about music. I know enough to allow for a diversity of musical tastes and preferences among those that know about music.

Unlike you, apparently.
