The field drops to 119:
The Golf Channel reported that Scott Verplank will skip the second leg of the FedEx Cup playoffs. Verplank has never played in the Deutsche Bank, but he does have a very good track record at BMW Championship and the Tour Championship, which are the last two events in the FedEx Cup playoffs.

I also noted that the PGA now lists only 115 players in the Field but I don't know who the other two are.

By the by - This tournament starts on Friday with a Monday finish. Then right into a Thursday start for the BMW - no rest for the weary !

Unless a disater takes place I would say my buddy Billmil with the Long Island Ducks will pull off a repeat, considering there will be no cuts for the last two events. Now as long as I didn't just jinx him.
