You had 3 make the cut, but your team still ranked only 125th for the week, so they obviously didn't do much on the weekend (or before).
Two of your surviving golfers had only 3 birdies apiece on the weekend. Neither was among the top 50 golfers for the week (based on birdie performance) - and yet, their prices were among the top 20.

So in this case its better to not make cut and only lose like 50 like numerous teams did?Im just trying to uunderstabd the system

Price changes are relative. A high priced golfer must perform very well (consistent with his price), or he'll lose value. A cheaper player does not need to do as well to retain value, or even appreciate.
Suppose you have two golfers. One is priced at $1400, and the other at $600. Assume they both shoot the exact same scores for a weekend, which is approximately consistent with a $1000 golfer. In this case, the $1400 golfer will decline in value, and the $600 golfer will appreciate - even though they both produced the same scores.
Once you build roster value and can afford better golfers, it is more difficult to continue to generate roster gains, as your golfers are held to a higher standard. You have a much better price upside if you take cheaper golfers. But they still have to perform reasonably well.

PGA news releaseGRAND BLANC -- (07/15/09) -- Preparations have been set in place for the 2009 Buick Open to get underway as planned at Warwick Hills Golf and Country Club in Grand Blanc July 27 - August 2. The tournament announced today that it expects another world-class field that already includes solid pro commitments. Defending champion Kenny Perry leads the field of early player commitments that includes the recently-crowned U.S. Open winner Lucas Glover, 2008 Ryder Cup team members and former Buick Open champions Justin Leonard (1996) and Jim Furyk (2003), and Brian Gay, who has recorded two wins on the PGA TOUR this year. Three additional past Buick Open winners have also signed on Scott Verplank (1988), Tom Pernice Jr. (1999) and Brad Faxon (1991) along with PGA TOUR winners JJ Henry and Corey Pavin. John Daly and reigning U.S. Amateur champion Danny Lee have confirmed their participation thanks to sponsor's exemptions. The 2009 Buick Open field will compete for a $5.1 million purse (ties record purse of 2008), including a $918,000 first prize.

Daly has a 5:50 pm tee off time. Odds are not good, except he has to be on his best behaviour after being suspended once this year. And yes, I have him on my team.
