the field
A couple of things to bear in mind this week:
1. This tournament starts on Friday. 2. You do not get to keep any unused trades after this week. All teams will have exactly 2 trades to use for the final two tournaments combined - so plan wisely. |

Last night's field listing evidently wasn't updated for the Barclay's results.
No longer in field: McNeill, George Curtis, Ben Choi, K.J. Bettencourt, Matt
Added to the field: Jacobson, Fredrik Johnson, Richard S. Slocum, Heath Matteson, Troy

Not that I'm going to win anything, or change it for this year, but what's the reasoning behind rule #2? This seems like a strange rule for the end of the year.

We did it last year, too.
There are no cuts in the final two tournaments. This at least builds in some chance of having to go with a reduced roster.

Hmmph. (I wasn't paying attention at the end of last year obviously).

I just discovered an obvious pricing glitch. I'm probably going to have to reset all prices.
ugh

Not as bad as I feared.
The original price changes for Heath Slocum and Justin Rose were wrong. Fortunately, there had been no trades yet this week for either player, so I was able to fix them and we can move on with no further special handling.

[3] I guess we did not limit trades at the end of last season after all. I was planning to do it last year, but then I guess I decided not to bother since we did not include the Tour Championship last season (as the Ryder Cup interrupted the weekly flow.)
So this is the first time with this rule. We'll see how it goes this year.

Meh, the more I look at it the more I really hate it. And not just because I'm hosed by the vagaries of price changes (23rd in the standings, 114th in RV), though that has something to do with it I'm sure.
Offhand, it seems as though there ought to be some sort of balancing mechanism rewarding saved trades over the course of the season. I don't know what's "fair" in this regard, but I might suggest for next year simply not awarding any additional trades after the first week (or second week) of the FedEx, but allowing people to retain trades they have accumulated.
