Injured in an accident aprox 2:30 this morning. Hit a fire hydrant and a tree. Police say injuries "serious". Also sasy charges to be filed, and that alcohol not involved.

Read this on a message board...

"Desperate to find out if there is any truth to his highly exaggerated immortality, Woods closes his eyes, puts his foot on the gas pedal, and decides to let Fate reveal the truth. 30 seconds later he finds out that not only is he mortal but Fate thinks he is a dog."

There's more to this story. I found this part of Tiger's statement quite odd:
"I'm human and I'm not perfect. I will certainly make sure this doesn't happen again."
That's an odd statement to make about a car accident.

I have this bizarre image in my head of Phil Mickelson selling half a brake line on Ebay.

Some veeeeewy intewesting gossip coming out on this one, as you probably know by now.

It appears that Tiger is doing the big "Cover-up". I can't believe that his handlers/spin docs are allowing this to happen. Tiger has far too much to lose should his squeaky-clean image become tarnished. So so does the PGA Tour.

I think his handlers/spin docs/lawyers are just taking it real slow. Tiger only gets one shot at a first statement and he wants to divulge everything on his terms.

Tiger's neighbors The Adams family no less, have hired an attorney.

"Sharpe says the Adams family hired him to get out the message that they've told investigators everything they know about the crash and aren't hiding anything."

Good call. It sounds more like he is referring to um say an affair or 2...or 3.

I'm not judging, I'm just sayin'.

After coming out with his statement about having affairs, I find it funny how some people are actually shocked that a multi-million dollar athlete would actually cheat on his wife. Not enough hours in the day to list all of the high-profile athletes that have been caught cheating. I know someone who works for the Sac Kings and hearing some of the stories from around the league, it's more commonplace than people may realize.

i find it funny that people say things that imply cheating is practically limited only to high-profile athletes.

i got news for you - probably a lot of the people you are friends and family with, are cheating.

I'm not surprised.

I've never been married therefore never cheated. I commend all of you that are married and not cheating, that is an awesome feat. I really mean that.

Yesterday afternoon the Google trends were pretty funny. 1 was Transgressions. 6 was Define Transgressions. 32 was Definition of Transgressions. Half the listing were about Tiger or pictures of the girls.

I'm getting tired of how newsworthy all these outed cheaters seem to be in the media and how much play it gets. I persoanlly find cheaters to be irresponsible and immoral but we should all be so desensitized by all of this because of how commonplace it is. Is anyone really still surprised anymore when someone gets caught, whether it be a high profile figure, a co-worker, or your next door neighbor?

2009 has been another banner year for high profile cheaters getting outed. Without even thinking that hard, I come up with Tiger, David Letterman, Steve Phillips, Steve McNair, John Edwards, that reality show dude with the 8 kids, SC Governor Mark Sanford (NY Gov Spitzer was last year), John "papa" Phillips.

The worst news yet!

John Ziegler, the pastor of the "First Church of Tiger Woods" announced in a statement on the blog (www.tigerwoodsisgod.com) that the organization is being dissolved because of the golfer's "personal sins."

"Tiger is clearly no longer deserving of being seen as a role model or a hero and he has needlessly squandered his unique potential to be a positive force in our country and the world," Ziegler opined.

I think we can all agree that Tiger cheated on Elin. Does this affect his credibility as a golfer, a sport that abhors cheaters?

RE: 12

Tiger's newsworthy, at least for fantasy golf. After he got married, his game went downhill. Now we know that his game may have gotten better last year because he was getting some on the side. Now that he's been caught and cut off, he's probably not a good fantasy bet for next season. :)

I saw an interesting comment somewhere. Tiger is defined by his competitive nature. Is it any surprise that it also shows up in chasing women? Apparently most PGA clubhouses are more frat house than country club, with golf terms used to describe sex acts and females.

The Sports Guy's wife had an interesting take. Why should the wife of an athlete expect her husband not to be faithful? She applauded Elin for going nuts. Although it appears that by being pissed she is going to be highly compensated. 5M into an account in her name only immediately and the pre-nup modified to greatly increase her potential settlement and shorten the time to get all of it.

What's the difference between a golf ball and an SUV?

Tiger can drive a golf ball 300 yards.

Tiger crashed his car because he was in a rush to move on to the second hole.

Tiger uses clubs to hit golf balls while his wife uses clubs to hit tigers balls.

News travels fast. The Chinese are already making a movie about Tiger Woods' crash. They are calling it,
"Scratching Swede, Lying Tiger," or how about "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Hydrant"?

Is it any surprise that it also shows up in chasing women?

Tiger doesn't need to chase women. They chase him. Beautiful, sexy, desireable women. About the only effort he has to exert is one sentence,
"Wanna have sex?" or answering "yes" when the proposition is posed to him.

The strange thing to me is that Tiger was so careless about his indiscretions. But it's hard to say what goes through the mind of someone who is worshipped liked Tiger. He's Elvis, the Beatles, Babe Ruth, Michael Jordan. His carefully-crafted public image and his intensly private personal life are now exposed, but it's unlikely it will affect his legacy, it might even enhance it.

Two years from now, when Tiger's walking up the 18th fairway needing to sink a 15 foot putt to win a major, very few will be concentrating on this current 'scandal.'
Watching last Monday night's football game, how many were thinking,

"Tom Brady. Knocks up his beautiful girlfriend, then dumps her during the pregnancy for an even more beautiful girlfriend."

Tiger is now receiving it from the black community for his alleged affairs with 3 white women. Some comments:

On the nationally syndicated Tom Joyner radio show, Woods was the butt of jokes all week.

"Thankfully, Tiger, you didn't marry a black woman. Because if a sister caught you running around with a bunch of white hoochie-mamas," one parody suggests in song, she would have castrated him.

"The Grinch's Theme Song" didn't stop there: "The question everyone in America wants to ask you is, how many white women does one brother waaant?"

As one blogger, Robert Paul Reyes, wrote: "If Tiger Woods had cheated on his gorgeous white wife with black women, the golfing great's accident would have been barely a blip in the blogosphere."
(I definitely don't agree with this one!)

Something is being lost in all this.

Rachel Uchitel, Kalika Moquin, Jaimee Grubbs and there will be more. All these women will have a great pay day but sex for each of these women is ruined for life.

It would be likely any future sex partners, unable to contain themselves as they proclaim "I am Tiger Woods" in their passion.

It could be said that 4 of Tiger's all time favourite holes are
nowhere to be found on any golf map.
Tom Fazio is designing 4 new holes:
Uchitel - Long, undulating, a lot of rough. Landing area protected
by very perky mounds.
Moquin - short, tight, well manicured.
Grubbs - wide open, large box and a lot of danger if your balls
land in the rough behind the hole.
Elin - Plays right to left, firm and forgiving. A little rocky in some
areas. Has an identical hole on the back 9.

In a story that takes yet another turn, this morning paramedics responded to a 911 call from Woods' home and transport an injured or ill woman (presumedly Elin) to the hospital.

The title of this thread is ironic.

He is he hurt, hurt real bad.

Tiger's father said to Tiger. "I promise you that you will never meet another person as mentally tough as you in your entire life"

Well he needs to be now.
