GuruGolf has been launched for 2010.
The game will be essentially the same, with only a couple of minor adjustments from last year:- There will be no special trade limitations for the final two events. Normal trade rules will apply for all weeks.
- There will be a limitation on multiple prizes to the same managers. This is strictly a cost savings move. Last year, revenues from all sources (GuruPatron donations, advertising, affiliate fees) failed to cover marginal expenses for the site, so I'm trying to find opportunities to reduce costs.
The first event of the official season will be the Northern Trust Open, which is the first tournament in February. However, I will operate the site this week for the Farmers Insurance Open. This gives me a chance to shake down the site mechanics once again. However, there will be only one preseason event this year. The results of this event will be excluded from regular season standings, and all rosters will be cleared after this preseason week.
As before, if you can remember your login and password from last year, you do not need to re-register.
