Guru: How do you calculate player value changes? Justin Leonard did make the cut last week yet you reduced his value.

Making the cut is not a direct factor - except that by making the cut, you do get additional opportunities to make pars, birdies, and eagles. In this case, of course, he did not - since he did not compete on the weekend.
The algorithm first calculates a score for each player by evaluating his performance on each hole relative to the field. A birdie scored on a hole with few birdies is worth much more than a birdie on a hole with many birdies. Pars or better each get assigned a positive score on the hole. Bogeys or worse are assigned a score of zero. Each of the 72 holes is scored this way, and then a cumulative "relative value score" is calculated by summing these individual hole scores. Players are then ranked on this basis, and a target $ value is assigned to each player based on that ranking. Players then get a price change that trends toward that target. The target price and the degree of trending are based on the strength of the field, so it varies from week to week.
In the case of Leonard, his performance ranked only 84th. For this tournament, that produced a target value of just $600. With a starting price of $1120, trending toward the target produced a loss.

Guru: Where does one find the early entry list for upcoming tourneys? I really appreciate your updates for the next event's field, even though I know it is subject to change, and have been burned many times. Keep up the good work.

Usually requires a bit of googling. And not every tournament publishes early commitments.
