How does a 15 happen?
Even with penalty strokes I've never had a 15 on a hole.
I've got to go home and turn on the Golf Channel.

If you remember that scene in Happy Gilmore where he hits it into the woods?
Yeah, kinda like that.

PGATOUR.com has it as a 16, I watched it live and I have no idea what his score was. He asked his caddie after the hole what should we put down. The TV guys seemed to think 16 was the number.
Best melt down this side of JD I've ever seen.

He had the option of hitting 3 off the tee. If he does that and pars the hole on his 2nd ball for a double bogey he would be tied for 14th right now.

"He had the option of hitting 3 off the tee."
You mean 5. He took one unplayable, then turned into Paul Bunyan on his second tee shot when he should have gone and hit a third.

I missed that, when I tuned in he was in the woods, the 1st shot I saw was the one that came right back to him and looked to hit his pants.
so he hit TWO drives that were that bad?! 15/16 is too good for him then.

Yeah, it was pretty gross. He hit a provisional after the second tee shot in case he lost it, and that went about six miles left (which was an improvement over his second tee shot, had he managed to not find it).

+3 for sure making the cut, wouldn't be stunned to see it go to +4. Scores are awful today. Two sub-70 rounds and 5 rounds of 80+ so far.
This would not be a good week to have one person make the cut (not that there ever is). You'd rather have zero.

Normally I wouldn't be turning cartwheels at four birdies from Ricky Barnes, but when two of them cancel out bogies from my other three players...

What's the record for worst combined score for a foursome for a round? Bob's Eagles managed a combined +39 for the foursome on their way to a +27 worst ball score for the round (which may or may not be a record, but I suspect someone who was trying in worst ball may have taken Charles Coody in the Masters one year).
