Where's action threads.
Where's price movers.
Where's all the thoughts.

Just wondering.

I feel like my draft is pretty solid so far. I'm going to bank some trades and take it easy the first few weeks.

I'm pretty pumped as well, once I start using some trades it'll get even better! But like you said I'm going to do the same and try and hold onto my trades for now. Started one late team today and it made a cool 910K! Will probably start the other one tomorrow or wait until next week sometime. Definitely pumped about the hockey season, watched the Vancouver game last night, so nice to have hockey back! :D Leafs start tonight which of course is the only reason I follow hockey jk :P but Go Leafs Go! Definitely glad to have the season underway, hope everyone else is as pumped as I am.

My day late team picked up 920k.

I am slowly building another team that made $520k with only 4 players on the roster.

my enthusiasm has been somewhat dampened this year due to the impending strike at the playoffs, or lockout after the season, whichever the case may be. I really hate to invest all this time and emotion to see the playoffs called off. They wouldn't do that would they?

STL, were did you hear that?
I could be wrong but from what I have read CBA expires in Sept (2004) so the playoffs are fairly safe.

If you know you're going to be locked out, then the best strategy for the union would be to use the most leverage possible against the owners. That would be to strike right before the playoffs. The players will have already made their money. A strike impacts the owners big time. This would be leverage to get the owners to the table. Waiting until after the season, the owners have more power as the players will not be able to earn any money in a lockout of 2004. The owners can better handle no pay than the players for the most part, especially since they claim to be losing money anyway.
