I find myself holding on to Jason Allison in a Regular Season, 9 Player Yahoo League. We are using a 20 man roster with points set up similar to TSN.
My question is the following:
There are some pretty intesting players available right now as Free Agents:
Koivu (Will be back within the week) Slava Kozlov Jason Blake Trent Klatt Justin Williams Lubomir Visnovski
Allison I would hope to be back in Mid November, but in the mean time I'll be falling behind in games played per/position. Any advice? |

Hang on to him. Allison can be a premier center, and in a 9 team league you don't want to give someone like that up, especially with a 20 man roster. Stash him until November. Other then maybe Koivu, I wouldn't rate those other guys as too valuable in a 9 team league... And I'm a Habs fan to boot. ;)

I managed to move some other dead weight off my team to pick up Koivu and Jason Blake. I can only keep Blake until Koivu comes off the IR.
I'll try to be patient with Allison even after reading this today off rotoworld: "Jason Allison did not skate yesterday as he did not feel good, reports the LA Times. Allison just doesn't seem to be getting any better. Doctors have told him not to exercise if his post-concussion symptoms are bothering him, and that was obviously the case yesterday. Don't expect to see Allison back in the Kings' lineup anytime soon."

I dropped Allison in the league I had him in. Reason? He's got effects from an injury he sustained in February. Even if/when he comes back, there's not likely to be too big of a rush to pick him up. He's been available for 3 days without being picked up while Craig Conroy was. Plus, with him being "NA" and not available for IR, he's just wasting a bench spot. He played 26 games and got 28 points last season. I wouldn't expect much more from him this year given the way he just can't seem to shake his post-concussion symptoms.
