Hey guys, still no replies/check-ins from either filthyrich or Rick Custer. We have 8 managers confirmed so far and puck drop is coming on us fast. I'm wrestling with what we should do here because we'll need to set keeper declarations, draft times, etc soon. We could:
A) Roll with 8 managers right now for this season and move forward without wasting anymore time
B) Wait just a bit longer for the two from last season before moving on
C) Open the league in Yahoo for 2 or 4 more random joiners to refill the league (this is sketchy as the new mangers would be need to be brought into Draftime, and follow the existing rules and not disrupt the existing peace)
D) ?
I would love some feedback thanks.

I suggest that we set a deadline for keepers, and that we all try to recruit new members, we need to be at least 10 in the league. New members can pick their keepers later. We usually get a draft done in 10 days, so there is still time to do this. I also reccomend Always Julie as a new member.

I've played in leagues with 20-24 teams and that's got its own set of challenges. It would be interesting to play in a smaller one!

Agreed, it's time to get a move on - unfortunately it seems filthyrich and Rick Custer won't be participating this season, ive removed them from the Yahoo manager pool and hope we may see them down the road again. Still waiting on Always Julie to accept the emailed invitation to join the Yahoo league. Cobwebs, would you mind kindly giving a reminder?
I have set us up at Draftime as well. All returning managers should be auto-joined, however i can't seem to find where to add a manger to the league.. Taxman, i hope you don't mind but i've also added you as co-admin there in hopes you can extended your services to keep us moving there in case of any hiccups, and also look into how we can add Always Julie. I'm the Asia time zone and will be need to be signing out for the evening. Once everyone's signed in at the right places, and all Keepers are announced, we can flip the switch and get the draft started.

I've noticed Always Julie (Fredrik) has joined us with not one, but two teams. Don't know if that's intentional or a mistake, but i'd like some manager feedback if it's in fact on purpose. I'm not against it, for the record. But perhaps we explore disallowing trades between the two teams if we do proceed like this.
Further to clarify my own comment (Post #18), the keepers are to be picked 4 at a time only from within each available team. Meaning all 4 players from a single team, not one from Team A, one from Team B, etc. Just in case there was confusion.

Frederik, have you created your Draftime account already? Make sure the account is created, you’re signed in, and then try loading the link I sent you to join the league.
Outside of that, I’m not sure what the problem may be.

Re: 25, you don’t need to post the keepers in Yahoo. I will (or our co-commissioner Taxman) enter all the picks into Yahoo, and you’ll be able to manage your team once the draft is complete.

Great. All keepers have been entered in Draftime and at Yahoo. With that, the draft is live! We are running without a pick clock for the time being, and as usual will play by ear if we needed to activate it, depending on our progress. NHL season puck drop is October 4, 2024.
Reminders below for RFGHLers both new and old:
- Each "starting" position must be fully drafted at minimum (3C, 3LW, 3RW, 5D, 1Util, 2G)
- Please make your picks in a timely manner
- Turn ON email notifications for upcoming picks in the Draftime settings to know when your pick is coming up
- If you're a manager at either end of the draft, please do try to make both picks together to send the draft the back the other direction
- I will do my best to keep on top of anything that needs addressing as we move along (i am based in the Asia timezone). Notices will be posted here and copied to the Yahoo league board. Taxman is our co-commish and will have the tools to make on-the-fly adjusts as needed

... And were underway! The draft is complete, league's been activated at Yahoo, and you're free to make roster adjustments. Rosters should be accurate, but double check yours just in case. Big thanks to Taxman for entering the bulk of our picks into Yahoo as we moved along, and everyone for getting picks made in a timely fashion.
As per tradition, there will be a separate Draft Recap thread opened up. I look forward to seeing managers to share their experience and thoughts on this years draft.

Thanks Dienasty, its always fun to win, first time for me after a full season.😊 What a difference from last season, having good goalies, I didn’t think that I could catch Ira with wins. It was tricky with 4-nations, trades, and with injured and rested players at the end.
