With the French, German, Finnish posts all over the Forum, I need to find someone who can post hockey related messages in Chinese. |

Way back in the old days (1970-1974) I was a Korean linguist for the US Air Force. I've been thinking of brushing up on that language and starting to post in hangul but my keyboard doesn't have the correct keys;-)

Richard, If you like I'm sure I could dig some software up for you. In exchange for a little of your macro expertise, of course!

One of you cunning linguists will have to dig up some de-translator software (or at least a Dick Tracy decoder ring) for us Anglo-Saxons too.
Does anyone remember this huge Asiatic defenseman that used to play for the Penguins in the late 80's? I think his name was "Pack" or something.
He was sort of a cult hero to us at Penn State - we used to eat hotdogs, drink vodka-Koolaid (50/50 mix) and cheer everytime Mario scored or "Pack" got in the game. Truly a multicultural experience.

Richard Park was his name. One other Asian player that played in the NHL was Peter Ing, goalie for Toronto. PS Rod Langway though born in Taiwan doesn't count as an Asian player.

Paul and Steve Kariya have Asian heritage. I think they are one quarter Japanese. And didn't Richard Park play for Philly a couple of seasons ago? Judging from the last name, he should be a Korean, right?

LeftWings, yes Park is Korean. Yes also to the Kariyas with their Japanese blood from their dad.

You are thinking about Jim Paek the defenceman who played for Pittsburgh. He was a hero in Eastern Canada as well IceSteve, I think there was an actual Jim Paek drinking game.
