A Month into the Hoops season, my passive activity in my Hoops team has already netted me a higher roster value than my Hockey team. Do you guys think it's harder to play SW Hockey than SW Hoops?

hoops is much easier. I started a team 3 price changes ago, and I already made 2.2 mil. If I could do that in hockey, I'd have at least an 80 mil team.

Roundballer performances seem to be easier to predict.

And there are WAY fewer players to pick from. There aren't as many choices in hoops as there are in hockey.

Plus in Hoops good players range from 25-45 SWP but in hockey it can be a negative one night and a positive the next (100 SWP positive)....

Hockey pts go up and down and are more volatile than hoops so it makes it really hard to gauge how players are doing... much more streaky too.

Plus you have a more spread out sked... in hoops you can have 5 games in one week where as pucks the max is usually 4 games per week.

ps BTW I think hoops is easier (I forgot to say that at the top)

I think it depends on what you define as hard... I find hoops way more time consuming... but it is also more predictable. In hockey, it is easier to differentiate your roster (not as much of a gamble as in basketball) Also, it depends on whether you have a good knowledge of the league and its players... For example, I have been a hockey fan for 13 years now and have a much better knowledge of the players, etc... than basketball (for which I have been a fan for 2-3 years). I find hockey easier in that aspect.

I find hockey much easier, as, at least at this part of the season, the price changes are far more predictable and not so wide spread. Also living in Finland, finding info on NHL is good deal easier, NBA is almost a now show. Of course I can use the net, but hockey is everywhere over here.

I think they are about the same, and baseball is as well for that matter, football is the only sport I find extremely easy to make $, but with only one game per week the points are where its at. Although I'm doing quite well in hockey/football, and my basketball team sucks.

I find basketball easier because I neglect my hockey team. I haven't been spending the time necessary to have a productive hockey team. However, my basketball team is doing very well with money and points. For some reason I do well there, and I'm not quite sure why. As my hockey sits at the bottom of the belly, my basketball team sits at the pinnacle of the gurupie stats list. However, I will not give up in hockey. I have a lot of trades to burn!

don't know about hoops, but I know it's a lot harder to make bank this year in hockey. I think I've made 1/2 as much as I did last year at this time.

....what Willix said, to a "T".

Great start in Hoops, Willix. Why aren't you in Guru's division, Mr. Hollywood Heat? ;-)

Species, you remember! I guess Dave didn't send me an e-mail this year, so I joined the Belly division and a second one that Darkside recommended, Puget Sound.

I have a hard time remembering everyone's team name. That's why I use Willix1 and Willix2. Keep's it easy for everyone to see how bad I am doing! ;-)

I would like to thank Mr. Federov for keeping my team respectable while I have been away from it. I will make a run in hockey eventually.
